The resort was beautiful, it was well kept and always clean. The food and drinks were delicious with more options than we could have ever wanted. The staff was amazing, they went above and beyond to take care of any needs we had, they made our vacation an unforgettable experience.

Nov 24, 2025MAJOR DIARRHEA SICK SICK 🤢 SICK
DIARRHEA... stayed at Breathless Punta Cana to celebrate our 11 year wedding anniversary However, instead of celebrating i did nothing but had Diarrhea from Wednesday till Saturday. We are a sandals customer since 2008 had to pivot due to the hurricane that hit jamaica this was their one shot to win a customer for life considering all the resort they have. Reservation were not required for the restaurant however when we get there our minimum wait was over an hour and at times we got told not sure how long it will be so we settle for the buffet the food seems to be the same most of the night quality of the food not so great very greasy. neither to say i ate white plain rice for 3 straight days cause i couldn’t stop pooping my brains out when i left i had nothing else left in me. they said avoid water we did they don’t say avoid their food i have never been so sick in my life if i could sue them i would cause we lost all our money and got so sick while there we talk to 2 other couple the same thing with them this can’t be an accident. i do want to point it out the staff was amazing great people and the beach was beautiful and the resort was very nice but they do lack on food quality and safety of the people. General Managers should be reading this feedback and making changes before they kill someone.

Breathless Punta Cana is a beautiful resort and overall a great hotel, but my experience had several disappointing moments. As a Dominican guest, I felt ignored and overlooked multiple times. It often seemed like staff catered more to certain guests while barely acknowledging me, which was uncomfortable and discouraging. When we arrived, we were told our room wasn’t ready, yet other guests who checked in after us were given their rooms immediately. At the buffet, there were several times when we were told, “Follow this girl, she’ll take care of you,” but no one ever came back to seat us . we were just left standing there. At the bars, staff avoided eye contact and didn’t acknowledge me at all. The food also wasn’t good, and the jacuzzi in our room never filled properly it drained every time we tried to use it. I would recommend this resort for its beauty and amenities, but these issues definitely need to change for the experience to feel welcoming, fair, and consistent for all guests.
