Rooms were outdated. Housekeeping came in numerous of times to refresh the room and some of my personal possessions were moved in different spots than the ones I left them in. The website says u get butler for Xhale Club members but in reality they didn’t do much besides provide information. Just because I’m on vacation that doesn’t mean I am ok with bottom shelf liquor. I didn’t like the fact that u had to go to Xhale lounge for drinks. The customer service was not the greatest when u ask someone something they always tell u to hold on. Overall I made the best of it but I wouldn’t stay at breathless again or recommend.

This was a good experience for me with it being my first time going on a resort & spa vacation. I am single and went with my aunt who is also single. We were expecting there to be more single people in our age range (35-55) there but that was lacking. But I did go in October so that could have been the reason. (And literally has nothing to do with the experience at the resort and nothing the resort could have done to fix this. Just my unrequested opinion) The drinks at the resort were horrible (very watered down), no good vodka, but the food was pretty good. As someone who is gluten free and dairy free, the options were extremely limited, definitely don't expect them to cater to your food allergy or food sensitivity. Pools were beautiful. Beach was STUNNING. Our concierge was AMAZING and he was SO VERY nice. Room was lovely and the resort is beautiful. Loved the shows that the entertainment staff put on nightly. The fire show was very cool. We had a great excursion off the resort and it was easy to plan with the help of the resort Amstar employees. Overall I give the experience 3.75 stars.

Nov 04, 2025Gorgeous Beach and Plenty of Space to Relax!
The resort is beautiful. Lush tropical grounds, sparkling pools, and a vibrant, upbeat atmosphere that made every day feel like a celebration. The staff were friendly and attentive, always going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and pampered. A special shoutout to Emilio, our concierge, who was amazing! I had a small issue with the room floor, and he handled it promptly and professionally, making sure everything was perfect afterward. Our room was modern and comfortable, the food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the entertainment was nonstop fun—especially the themed parties that kept the energy high. The beach at Breathless Punta Cana is absolutely beautiful—soft sand, clear water, and a peaceful vibe. There were always plenty of lounge chairs available, so we never had to worry about finding a spot to unwind. It was the perfect place to soak up the sun and enjoy the view!

Nice, but will not be returning
Food is not very good. The best meal we had was at Dreams Onyx at Bluewater grill. At Breathless the French place followed by the buffet were the top food choices for us. Housekeeping missed replacing some towels/conditioner/ignored request for robes. The overall hotel was nice and clean. There are so many vendors who approach you on the beach which gets annoying. Staff is very nice. We could only go to Dream Onyx on our last night due to a group renting out the resort for the whole week, which sucked.

Nov 02, 2025Do it! Especially for the EXHALE Club! Worth every penny!
The resort was clean and the staff was very helpful and polite. The Exhale Club is well worth the money. We loved the personal attention and private area for check in (including a bar area). There was a good variety of shows and entertainment, despite the fact that it rained the whole trip. The first day it rained, the two outside pool bars were closed and the entertainment was canceled even though they were under covered areas. The pool was filled with guests and we all had to go to the Wink or Exhale bars and bring our drinks back to the pool. There was not much to do the first day it rained but after we mentioned it to our concierge, the next day everything was open and there was entertainment. Every night there are shows, clubs, casino.... plenty to do. Our concierge, Elis was AMAZING! She was always right there when we were looking for her, she was very responsive to our requests and always shared the schedule of activities for the day. Would we go back again? Sure! Especially to get a redo with nicer weather and to see Elis!
