  Very Pretty Resort with Friendly staff - Rating 3.8 stars

  This is a great resort. We did do Xhale Club. Some say it's worth it, some say it's not. If you prefer a quiet area close to the beach (in the resort) with premium alcohol and concierge service, it's the way to go. If you go to one of the two other pools you do not have access to premium liquor or even premium beers. the Xhale pool is very low key but you have non stop waiter service. the music was slow in my opinion. you are separated from the rest. I prefer more lively experience. the last day we were there we visited the two other pools. One has a swim up bar, the service was okay and I found the activities and music to be fun, but then we went to the other pool and I'm not sure what it's called but it's a much younger crowd and not so much for us. So, really with xhale you have 3 options - low key, middle of the road, or party animal. :) without xhale it's middle of the road or party all the way. The rooms are basic but nice and clean. The sliding glass doors for us and our friens are very difficult to open from the outside and I'm not sure why they are built that way. Seems trivial but a huge pain in the butt if you go in and out frequently and I don't like to be in my room much. The food was pretty good. With Xhale the breakfast buffet was always great. We never went to the other restaurants or buffet for breakfast. We ate at the hibachi (Silk city). It was okay. we felt very rushed and the chicken and beef were overcooked. Room service was great. The cheeseburgers were really good! The chicken wings were really good. Great options as well. If you do have a butler/concierge, use them. then it's worth it. We drink coors light which was not in our room so we asked for it and initially it seemed like it wasn't going to happen but then they started bringing it every day. We reserved a cabana with friends on the beach for $150. worth it other than the people selling stuff on the beach. that is annoying. But I suppose it's what you expect. We did order fish and chips on the beach and both my husband and I had an issue with that. so be careful with the fish??? Check in and check out a breeze. Friendly staff everywhere. the noise level may be a factor depending on where your located. the music can get really loud outside of the xhale area. The hallways are noisy but they have a door in your room that shuts so you don't hear it so much. Big bonus if you aren't up late or like to sleep in. Their bread and doughnuts are really good for being in the carribean. IYKYK. Usually they are stale or dried out. Not the case here. The Nook is great for coffee and doughnuts or croissants. Would I go back? maybe but likely not to this resort. The verdict is still out. Our butler, Glenny was amazing but there was a "feel" of this resort that we couldn't put our finger on. I think we'd just try another adults only resort. But it was still a great vacation. If you want upscale, this isn't it. if you want a great location to visit with a friendly staff and some fun at a reasonable price, this is the resort for you.

  It’s fine and doable

  I would say the reason we were here was fun and exciting as my husband had won a trip through his company. With the chaos in Jamaica it had to be moved last minute so I am accommodating in that however for a resort that claims to be 5 start service we waited three days for anyone to come for any laundry so we were running out of clothes pretty quickly - also food was very dismal. Bland not exciting the best food we had was at the grill on the beach. Their beach is gorgeous and also our spa experience was wonderful but other than that- the resort that’s connected to it- Dreams- is a much better experience in terms of vibes and food and things like that but it’s a family resort so I wish the adult resort was thought through like that one clearly was.

  Fun time and lots of sunshine

  Just came back from Breathless in Punta Cana. This is our 3rd time visiting. We had a great time. The food is delicious, the drinks are plentiful , but be sure to bring a thermal cup the drinks stay colder longer . The staff are so eager to please. Gregory was so attentive and very helpful while we were there. The dance and entertainment group were amazing. Chanel Raphael, Chris Brown etc. They were all amazing and so funny. The beach was wonderful. They had a tractor that would pass every so often keeping the beach clean of seaweed. I have to say it was just wonderful. In the past they had more competitions and gave out small bottles of rum to the winners. It was so much fun in the past. There was only one competition and the winner won a breathless hat (Purple). The men did a great job dancing and entertaining us, but the first 2 times there it was a lot more fun. The staff had dart games along with Jenga and learn to speak spanish for fun. :( In the past they handed out fake money if you participated and then at some point they had an auction so you could spend your fake money. It make you want to participate in things. New owners new staff I guess. We had a excursion person help us with our shopping and excursions. Virgin was her name booked us a shuttle to go shopping. It was a waste of time. They bring you 25 min. away to a building with 2 stores both with the same items and same price. You are better off walking outside the resort to the shop around the corner. It's safe. The excursion was at Adventure Park. The buggy rides were okay. They just drove you around the same trails in different directions. If you can get a excursion on the roads to the beach you are better off. This was a bit redundant. The zip line at adventure park was a little boring. It was fun but you only zipped 4 times unless you decide to cross the wooden rope bridge. The zip lining off site was nicer. You were sent zipping through the jungle for a long while it was better out of the adventure Park. Be sure to bring snacks and drinks with you if you can. Oh and you'll need to purchase a locker while your there for your things. They don't allow you to take pics with our camera's or cell phones. Lockers are small and $10. Be smart and safe but have fun along the way.

  Ultimate service

  Breathless Punta Cana has the best most attentive butler on the island. We stayed in room 4323 and had Willy as our bulter. This guy was amazing. He made sure our stay was full of activities and impeccable service. He worked with the restaurant managers to ensure our meals were personalized. He had us set up at the beach every morning. If anything was out of order or not as expected he made it right. Hands down the best service we've ever received at a resort.

  Nice place

  Clean place, friendly staff. Food was average. Landscapers are constantly working and using leaf blowers. Coffee is provide in small cups.
