  Breathless Resort Adults Only

  Checking in was easy, and we were never bothered about timeshares, which was a relief. The staff throughout the resort were great and very attentive. There were a few issues with communication around the nightly entertainment schedule. The reader board often showed different times than what staff at the pool announced, which created confusion — especially when trying to plan dinner around activities. The daily activities board also scrolls so quickly that you have to stand there for several minutes just to catch everything. Thankfully, the app was easy to use and helped us stay updated. Pool towels were a bit of a joke. There’s only one towel booth at the Deep Bar Pool, so you have to walk past the Freestyle Pool just to get towels. Adding a second booth at the Freestyle Pool would make a huge difference. The outdoor room tubs also seemed old, not working, or just generally dirty. Although there are signs saying you can’t reserve chairs with towels, this isn’t enforced at all. We saw people putting towels down as early as 7am even though the pools don’t open until around 10am. Room service closes early, which isn’t ideal if you like to stay up past midnight. Housekeeping was hit‑or‑miss. They do take the privacy signs seriously, which is great — just remember to remove it if you want service. Even with our privacy sign removed, we came back from a long day at the beach and pool to find the room cleaned but no towels, which was frustrating. We had to wait around and use the app to request more. Overall, it was still a good experience. The resort is smaller, everything is walkable, and it’s easy to find your way around.

  Selfish guests

  Resort is fantastic. Clean, great food and staff. Unfortunately some guests aren’t so great. Came down to the beach at 6am to hangout and watch the sun come up and these have been reserved since 6:30am. 10 BEDS…. SELFISH!!! There are signs all over the resort, that say reserving Sunbed’s is prohibited

  A family vacation to REMEMBER!

  First let me tell you that the staff is OUTSTANDING! They are always smiling and a pleasure to be around. They can't do enough for you. Everyone from Ari who shuttled us all over the grounds to Jesus our concierge to Nicol who is in many of the restaurants and finally Gregory the food concierge. We are foodies and have been to many all inclusive resorts and the food quality and variety were outstanding. I personally enjoyed seafood from the buffet to all the restaurants. Red snapper, Grouper, tuna, calamari freshly cooked at the buffet. Goat stew in the Dominican. Lamb chops in Culinaria and Crochet. My wife was pleased with Grey Goose in the Xhale area. Pools for everyone. Junior and Nico kept me happy playing AC/DC, Van Halen, Motley Crew, Bonjovi, and KISS. The grounds are beautiful. Our room was wonderful with a great view. The housekeeping crew is always helpful and do a wonderful job. Everyone smiles and goes over and above. I suppose if you really want to look for something to complain about you can probably find something but for me I am extremely grateful for the staffs attention, attitude and joy they bring every day. Thank you all for making family vacation a memorable experience.

  A Calm Breathless with a Relaxing Experience

  Let me first say this: Breathless is not necessarily a party resort like Mexico or Jamaica, but it does offer some pretty decent experiences. The resort itself is beautiful overall, and every staff member I encountered was pleasant, friendly, and a joy to be around. I stayed in the Xhale swim-up- the pool is not attached to the room; it's outside the room and easy to enter. Spoon and the Xhale restaurant had excellent food; the steak was good. As far as entertainment goes, I really enjoyed the fire show and silent party. The nightclub was decent, and the main pool parties were good. Honestly, I enjoyed the resort and feel like it's a good one to come back to. Oh, and my concierge, Joel, listen, I never had to ask twice, if he saw a problem, he solved it before I even knew anything was happening. He took initiative and made our Xhale experience that much more special. When I go back, that is who I will be requesting.

  Nice resort with a great beach. Don't come for the food.

  My son and I spent 5 nights at Breathless Punta in an Xhale swim up room. I would definitely recommend spending a little extra for the Xhale rooms. Beach is great, the pools are clean and nice, and the staff is always very nice and accommodating. The beds in the rooms are very comfortable and the shower is very good. The furniture in the rooms is a little beat up. The Butler is very helpful. She got things done when needed . The food is HORRIBLE! None of the restaurants are any good and everything tastes like cafeteria food..Overall a nice resort that was easy to navigate and walk. Nice beach, cold drinks, and good staff.
