Relaxing Resort
The resort was extremely laid back and relaxing. While we enjoyed it, we prefer to have a little more activity. The nightly entertainment was lacking as well as beach activities. Need more Caribbean music to feel like where you are.
Resort was nice, but could use a little updating, If you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful vacation, this resort is for you. Very laid back. Pools and beach are nice. Food is good, not great. All the employees were pleasant. If you get the chance, book the excursion to Stingray City, it is well worth the $50 for the experience.Would and have recommended this resort.
This was our first adult only vacation resort and we really appreciated the quietness and laidback atmosphere. The friendly and professional service was truely a blessing for us on this trip. The Outhouse bar had the best food on the resort and perhaps the themes at the buffet could use a little more creativity. The room was spacey and clean. Our hostess, Tricia was the hardest worker, on the Island. I met some great people from the UK and Canada while there. I would recommend this place to all of my friends.

Relaxing get away
We had a nice time. The food was good and plentiful.
Because of the wet season there was a lot of bugs.
I am used to bugs but didn't want them when I was trying
to relax at the pool.
My Daughter got bit by something we still can not figure
out and her face blew up like a balloon. It was 5 days before the
swelling went down.
The people were friendly but not overly.
The views beautiful.

Is water calm and good for safe swimming?
1 year, 24 months ago
Dee
It does generally tend to be, however this can fluctuate due to weather, currents, etc.
JeannieCC
Most days, yes
Tsiz
Yes the water was calm during our stay.
otter141
Antigua is apparently surrounded by natural reefs. These break the waves so that the water at the shoreline is pretty calm. The roughest water we experienced was still pretty tame!
Sunloving04
Yes! There is not much in the way of waves.

Beach chairs5 answers
Are there chairs and umbrellas provided on the beach?
1 year, 23 months ago
Krys
They do have lounge chairs available for use, with some umbrellas scattered throughout.
JeannieCC
Yes, plenty of chairs. Many umbrellas and palm trees too. However, you need to keep moving your chairs around to stay in the shade
Tsiz
Yes.Plenty
DTown1
not all sets of chairs have umbrella's but there were some trees covering some of the beach. The pools had umbrellas at most of the loungers.
deebren16
There are chairs but no umbrellas. I think you may be able to request one though.

Waterfront room5 answers
How do you get a waterfront room? Don't seem to be listed as a choice.
1 year, 22 months ago
smooch
The closest we have available is the Beachfront room, which gives you a room close to the beach with views of the ocean and either a balcony or patio. This resort does have waterfront rooms available through the property directly, however this is not something we are able to offer.
JeannieCC
When I booked on Cheapcaribbean.com it was listed as an option.
Sunandtan
I believe you need to request an upgrade for the room.
otter141
Sounds like you are asking about the "beachfront" rooms. Other rooms are oceanfront, but they have shrubbery outside the building and it isn't as quick or easy a walk to the beach as with the beachfront rooms. Check out the map on the resort's website.

Is there night life entertainment near or on the resort?5 answers

Wander Lust
Yes every evening at the resort.
otter141
The resort does offer evening entertainment. For more information please contact the resort directly as they change weekly. If you have any further questions, you may contact the resort directly or call and speak to one of our Beachologists at 1-800-915-2322.
TimCC
There were live music acts most nights and karaoke one night. The resort is apparently ~30 min away from anything, so you'll have to go off resort if you're looking for anything else. (And this can be quite expensive.
It think taxis were ~$60-70 USD to take you anywhere but the airport.) Overall, it was all pretty laid back. Some of the music was a little slow and boring.
Sunloving04
yes on the resort. and the taxi can take you off for local entertainment.
msgee
Yes! There was nightly music or activities that you could enjoy.
