Villa del Palmar All Inclusive Beach Resort & Spa

My overall experience at Villa del Palmar All Inclusive Beach Resort & Spa was a very positive one. My only complaint is the that the air conditioning was not working properly in our room and this issue was not fully resolved until the last day of our trip.

Great resort

It was my second time in Cabo and this resort was way better than the first one. Great service, good food, excellent pools. Overall I had an amazing time. Definitely recommend. Only negative is that water isn't included as part of all inclusive in the rooms.

One Bad Apple

My wife and I had a good time at the resort. The food was good and the service overall was good as well. Everyone was VERY nice. However, we had a really bad incident with the outdoor dining room manager Jose that put a very dark cloud on our trip. Basically while in line to get breakfast we were falsely accused by Jose in front of the other guests to have been complaining. He then came to our table to apologize and we accepted it and we assumed the situation was over. 15 minutes later he came back to our table to falsely accuse us again for cussing and insulting his hostess. He would not stop with his insults and accusations to the point that we ended our breakfast to complain to the hotel manager. The entire walk up to the main hotel he continued to try to accuse us and bait us to react to him. We finally spoke to the hotel manager. This gentleman was nice but offered nothing more than an apology. So we decided to avoid the restaurant. Jose continued in a pure passive aggressive manner to have other managers at the pool come to our seats to question us. I hope that the hotel owners and or upper managers read this and take immediate actions on this "one bad apple". I also hope that others read this and know that if it could happen to us, it could and will happen to others.

Exceeded Expectations

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at Villa del Palmar Cabo San Lucas (VDPCSL) for a week in the beginning of May. We are looking for a last minute vacation to book and found ourselves interested in going to Cabo. We were not familiar with the area of Cabo, but knew that we wanted an all inclusive so we made sure we did some research and read reviews before we selected the resort to stay at. We found the reviews of the Cabo resorts on CheapCaribbean to be pretty even across the board, which left us with a decision to make. Ultimately we selected the Villa del Palmar because last year we stayed at the Villa del Palmar in Cancun and everything about the trip and resort was AMAZING. We figured that our safest bet was to stay with a resort that we already knew we liked and had no issues with because we didn't think that they could have been that different. And we are both glad that we did! The package that we booked through CheapCaribbean included airfare, transportation to and from the airport, and the all inclusive package at the VDPCSL. Using CheapCribnean in the past, we knew of convenient booking the trip was. Overall, we have nothing negative to say about the entire traveling and booking experience. Transportion was scheduled and on time for getting to and from the airport and the flights were organized perfectly. When you get to VDPCSL it is exactly what is depicted on the website before booking. The staff all around were extremely willing to help with anything that you needed and very friendly. They assisted us with many extra things such as coordinating our return transportation to the airport, printing our boarding passes at the report prior to departure, general information of the surrounding area and things to do, getting taxis to and from the Marina, and suggestions for dining options. The resort was approximately 45 minutes from the airport, but once we got there everything else was almost in walking distance. We walked right out to the beach and took a water taxi to the El Arco, Lovers Beach and Divorce Beach wth no problems (plenty of vendors to chose from, but I suggest walking on the beach to the right down towards the Arc and the going to see Jamie/Oscar De La Hoya at the white tent stand in front of all the colorful massage tents). We also got massages right on the beach (purple tent) from one of the vendors and took a quick taxi ride down to the marina to explore the area. There was plenty of pool space and beach space throughout the resort due to there being several places that you could relax. And at every place, the drink and food service was fantastic. There were multiple places to eat on the resort, but for dinner we found ourselves at Bella California every night. The menu was very large and every dish that we order was delicious. We are able to order some new for an appetizer, dinner, and dessert every night. There were still some things we didn't get to try. Staff suggests that you make restorations every night, which we did. It takes 30 seconds and ensures that you get a table at the time you want. We ate around dinner around 9PM every night because we went to all the shows that they offer which usually run from 7:30PM-9PM first. Overall, taking the price, convenience, location, weather, service, room accommodations, area of the resort, food quality, picture perfect views, and convenience of extra activities into account.... one of the best vacations we have ever been on and we will 100% be going back. Recommendations: 1. Get the all inclusive package 2. Make reservations for dinner, regardless which restaurant you chose to eat at. 3. Go to all the nightly shows. 4. Explore the Marina and the area of El Arco. 5. Purchase roundtrip transportation with your package. (Convenient)

The new farm-to-table restaurant, Tomatillos, is absolutely amazing!

What We'd Change

Since Villa del Palmar All Inclusive Beach Resort and Spa is so family-friendly, the noise at the pools can be overwhelming. For serenity, head to the Desert Spa.

The resort is a great base for families who love the fine sand of Medano Beach. But there's also golfing, whale-watching and a simply fabulous spa.

Hotel Description

Villa del Palmar All-Inclusive Beach Resort & Spa Cabo San Lucas: Enjoy All-Inclusive Family Fun

Is Los Cabos calling your name? Then head to Villa del Palmar All Inclusive Beach Resort & Spa Cabo San Lucas. This exciting hotel is the most family-friendly resort in Mexico, according to Travel Age West magazine. Professionally certified staff members keep your children smiling with pinata making, stone painting and other exhilarating activities. With amazing waterfalls, a gorgeous saltwater aquarium and seashell chandeliers in the nine-story atrium lobby, the hotel inspires wonder in kids of all ages. But that's not all. This escape haven is within walking distance of the numerous bars, shops and restaurants of Cabo San Lucas.

While your kids squeal down the whale slide, kick back and enjoy the gorgeous pool area with its new flagstone walkways and decks. Take a dip in the ocean to get a feel for the Pacific from this corner of Mexico. The Los Cabos area is known for rip tides and dangerous beaches, but the hotel sits along sparkling-white Medano Beach, widely considered the safest swimming beach in Cabo San Lucas. Attendants on the beach bring mai tais or rum punches whenever you're ready.

When it's time to leave the beach, Bella California is where to go! Gorgonzola cheese, red wine sauce and rosemary enrich your filet of beef. And don't worry about the kids; they'll be eager to dig into their wood-fired pizzas. If you want to enjoy a scrumptious sampling of dishes, enjoy the gourmet buffet and nightly entertainment at Las Tortugas.

Save time for an indulgence or two at the 10,000-sq-ft Desert Spa. This chic spa has a variety of services that we love, but the Noche Romantica is a must with your sweetie: massages, aromatherapy and candles followed by sparkling wine and strawberries! Don't just lounge around the resort. Get your heart racing with tennis, basketball or beach volleyball. Go for an adrenaline rush with water skiing or Jet skiing. For a change of pace, nurture your culinary talents learning to prepare salsa or guacamole. Or take a nap with the kids; you may never want to leave your Junior Suite with its balcony overlooking the ocean.
