Beautiful resort Clean and safe Poor experience with our Butler Bryan. He was MIA for two days. Didn’t provide us with the correct information for our spa appointment. Did send us the daily itinerary for the resort until the morning of our last day. He really ruined our experience. Had it not been for that I think it would have been a complete 180. I recommend this resort 0 but the service from one person ruined it for us

The hotel was huge, room service was excellent. My only recommendation is to have heater for the swim up pools as they are always cold.

Dec 12, 2025A Safety Net of Luxury: How Chef Soto and team transformed my trip (Must-read for Allergy Travellers)
Traveling with a severe food allergy is often more stressful than relaxing. For those of us who live with this reality, there is a constant, underlying anxiety: never knowing exactly what you can eat, navigating language barriers, and fearing cross-contamination. But the hardest struggle is the vulnerability. Having a severe allergy requires you to blindly entrust your physical safety and your life to strangers. That is not a simple thing to do. However, my experience at TRS Coral was completely different, entirely thanks to Chef Soto. From the moment I connected with Chef Soto, he never gave me a single moment of doubt. He didn't just "accommodate" my allergy; he effectively acted as my personal private chef for the entire week. I can honestly say that under his care, I felt as safe—if not safer—than I do eating in my own home. Chef Soto went above and beyond in ways I have never experienced at a resort: 1. Communication & Planning: He spoke with me directly and frequently throughout every single day. We planned every meal in advance so I never had to wonder or worry about where my next meal was coming from and how it would be prepared. Personal Preparation & Service: He personally prepared my meals to ensure safety. He then personally served them to me at the table, taking the time to explain every ingredient used and how the dish was prepared, giving me total peace of mind. No dish was brought out to me unless it was under Chef Soto’s directive and personal delivery. 2. A True Culinary Experience: I didn't just eat "safe" bland food. Chef Soto prepared personalized meals based on my preferences that weren't even on the menu, including elaborate dishes like fresh lobster and he even allowed me to enjoy desserts. Having any allergy, you don’t typically get to enjoy desserts but Chef Soto prepared multiple delicious desserts for me. 3. Team Leadership: Even though his shift didn't start until 2:00 PM daily, he facilitated and directed his team to prepare my breakfasts strictly according to his safety protocols. I felt his protection even when he wasn't physically in the kitchen. It is clear that Chef Soto not only knows how to personally provide an exceptional dining experience for his guests, but he has also trained and guided his team to deliver the same level of care which is not easy to do. This is the type of leader that you want building and guiding teams. 4. Unmatched Dedication: The most incredible gesture was that Chef Soto actually switched his scheduled day off just so he could be present to prepare the meals for my final day at the resort and regularly switched which restaurants he was working at so that he could be at my service. I truly felt as though I was in control of my dining choices and Chef Soto acted as a safety net allowing me to experience multiple cuisines. Further, he delivered me my meals directly poolside and wasn't forced to eat indoors just to be accommodated safely. I also have to extend a massive thank you to Chef Soto’s team, specifically Chef Angel and Chef Nicolas, who treated me with so much genuine care. They were absolutely instrumental in making this week perfect as well: Chef Angel: Like Chef Soto, Chef Angel went above and beyond by also switching his scheduled day off just to be there for my last day. He specifically requested to prepare an elaborate meal for my final dinner and accompanied Chef Soto in serving me each of my meals, taking the time to clearly articulate every single ingredient to ensure I felt completely safe and that everything was perfect. He never failed to guarantee my safety and was patient with all the questions I had. He also was present to prepare and deliver my last meal of the trip poolside. Chef Nicolas: He took personal responsibility for preparing my breakfast and lunch daily. Each morning, he came out to speak to me before delivering my meals and ensuring that I felt comfortable. I had no doubts! He also accompanied and worked with Chef Soto in preparing and bringing my lunch directly to me poolside, which meant I could enjoy the outdoors and wasn't forced to eat indoors just to be accommodated safely. Most notably, he even switched restaurants on my last day specifically so that he could be there to personally prepare my meal. There truly aren't enough words to fully express my gratitude for the dedication and genuine care shown by Chef Soto and his incredible team. When you travel with a life-threatening allergy, you usually resign yourself to simply "surviving" the week; because of Chef Soto, I was able to thrive. He created an experience that was not just safe, but truly unforgettable. Let me be very clear: Chef Soto is the reason that I will be returning to this resort. I am forever grateful for the peace of mind he gifted me, and I will be booking my next trip specifically to be under his care again. To any individual who has severe allergies or dietary restrictions: Go to TRS Coral and request Chef Soto. He and his team understand the severity of allergies, they respect the trust you place in them, and they turn a stressful necessity into a luxury dining experience. **Please note that I stayed at TRS Coral which is the adult side of Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres during this trip. I have stayed at both sides of the resort and each time experienced great care for my allergy as their website states they accommodate allergies. This time however, staying at TRS Coral I was met with the pleasure of working with Chef Soto who far exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond. I will specifically return for Chef Soto’s care!

Dec 12, 2025Roll the dice with our lives
Just a one incident report: TRS Coral, December 9, 01:00 to 06:00. A scheduled power outage (municipal electric work), left guests with no lights, plumbing, telephone or ventilation. One can cope with that. But for 5 night hours, there was absolutely no emergency lighting in either the rooms or the hallways. Total darkness. An extremely dangerous situation, and as it happens quite illegal under Mexican law. I reported the issue to hotel management. Not receiving a response, I filed a report with Quintana Roo Protection Civil. How many deaths or injuries before the hotel reacts?

Lovely relaxing stay
Great hotel with numerous restaurants and a chilled vibe. Boat to get around the hotels a nice touch. Fernando was great around the pool, 10/10 service!!!!!! Lovely stay so far would really recommend.
