This was the best all-inclusive experience I’ve ever had! The bellboy Amaury made us feel like VIP when we arrived by giving us a private lift to the sports bar in the sister resort. He truly made our experience memorable (Go Oilers Go!). All the staff were friendly and helpful. I loved the resort grounds and the buffet and restaurants were delicious! I would highly recommend getting a swim up room - we never needed to worry about saving a chair by the main pool. I would absolutely go back - perhaps annually 😊

Amazing resort and staff
From the moment we arrived to our check out process the staff have been amazing. There is something for everyone. Concierges Israel and Martin are so warm and welcoming. Our waiter Alfredo at the buffet was fabulous. The Animation Princess crew were top notch...thank you Luna, Mariely, Mar, Hot Chocolate, Rhamses, Louis and Cari. Honestly I wish we could name all the wonderful people. Everyone was great...Will definitely return. Sofia and Cristina

Second time here!
I went with my husband to celebrate my birthday and had a fantastic time. This was our second time at PYP and one of the biggest factors that made us come back were the staff. They are all so incredibly friendly and helpful; all while still maintaining a high level of professionalism. This time around, we got more involved with the available activities/parties and had a blast. There's always something to do throughout the day: Spanish lessons, cocktail classes, water aerobics, games, pool parties, live music and shows, karaoke nights, and much more! I have to give a massive shoutout to the PYP Entertainment team - Johnny, Mar, Gordon Ramsey (that's what he calls himself, haha), Christopher, Malu, and Luna. They're always working hard to make sure the guests have a great time at various events and they're amazing at keeping a fun and lively atmosphere. Your experience here can be as calm and relaxing or as fun and exciting as you'd like. It all depends on what you choose to get involved with. The beach is only a few minutes away from your room and there's even a beach bar where you can grab drinks and snacks. There's nothing like sipping a cocktail and having fresh french fries while watching the waves roll in. Something else that helped us fully relax was the fact that food and drinks were always available. There was always a fully stocked bar nearby and you could eat whenever you wanted because the buffet was open 24 hours. I really appreciated that the menu was rotating so there were different options each day. If I had to pick one restaurant to recommend, it would definitely be Aroma - I went there twice during my trip, just for the prawns. All in all, we had a fantastic vacation. See you next time, PYP!

Nov 09, 2025Cheap, quiet and pretty.
My main problem which they did sort out was that you have to walk a quarter mile to the gate if you don't get a taxi through this syndicate and I have a cane but after saying I would give a bad review they let my TAXI guy in which I had booked for the whole week. I paid for platinum which is in my opinion not worth it the concierge was closed a lot of the time. they did give me an upgrade and the room was beautiful a few small minor problems as this place is quite old. The beach is beautiful and slightly rocky which is normal for playa Del Carmen and the pool was nice and there wasn't too many people there. It is walkable with a cane and the main reason I chose this place is because it is cheap. There's five restaurants but I only ate at four because one was closed I think because it wasn't very busy but the food at the others were excellent. The staff is really nice friendly and helpful, thanks guys.
