4th Time Here & LOVE IT!

This resort is my favorite! Already booked for April 2020 to go back! Why? 1) Great food. The buffet is open all 3 meals and has a great variety and the food is yummy and fresh. Love the omelet station, shaved meat, and fruits. The restaurants are good as well. The 24hr room service comes in handy for sure (club sandwich and burger are both good)!!! Many resorts do not have a 24hr bar like Princess and you would be surprised how nice it is to have that option. 2) All the staff are so courteous & aim to make your vacation the best possible! Our waiter at the buffet always remembers what we drink and provided excellent service. The bar tenders are all awesome!!! 3) The rooms have everything you need and are clean. 4) I like that there is a quiet pool with a swim up bar as well as the party pool which has a lot of activities and music every day along with a swim up bar. 5) The couples massage was AMAZING, best I have ever had by far!!! Highly recommend the spa!!! What would I change? 1) The concrete is VERY rough in parts, must wear flip flops if not in the pool or your feet will be very sore! :( 2) Have the swim up bars open a little bit longer, 5pm seems to come so quickly, wish it was 6:00pm. Things to keep in mind: 1) Bring your own cups & straws. Recommend stainless steel, insulated cups, like Yeti, RTIC, or anything like those as it will keep your drinks cold while you are out in the sun. 2) Make sure you pack enough sunscreen & aloe as it is VERY expensive to buy it at the gift shop! 3) The staff appreciates and deserves tips!!! Bring $1's and $5's with you!

AMAZING experience

My partner and I just returned from our 8 night stay at the Yucatan Princess. First let me say that we got a swim up room and it definitely made our trip PERFECT! The staff was amazing and friendly. Special shout outs to Rosy and Marvi, our poolside servers. They were extremely friendly and we were never without a drink while lounging in the pool. Armando and Bryan at the buffet were just as amazing! We listened to Bryan speak in at least 3 different languages while we dined during breakfast and lunch. The room: Very spacious with a king bed, soaking tub, two sinks, and a dual head rain shower that was perfect! Housekeeping service was always great and the “bar” was stocked daily with 4 soft drinks (Pepsi, 7-up, and orange), club soda, Sol beer, and bottled water. There is a small bottle of Vodka, Rum, and tequila in the room as well for your stay. Room service: Personally I would avoid room service. There were limited options and the food was not very good. However we met some people that thought it was good. Swim up: I read many reviews about the chairs at the swim up. They weren’t as comfortable as your normal pool chairs but they weren’t terribly uncomfortable either. There are also 2 chairs and a table for sitting too. Pool: We spend almost all of our pool time in the swim-up but the main pool was close by and always had something happening. We preferred the more relaxing atmosphere so we didn’t spend much time there. The foam party on Saturday was a lot of fun though! Beach: I also read many reviews about the beach and seaweed. There was one spot where the 2 resorts linked that was full of seaweed and it was true that the sister resort beach was much more clear. However, I didn’t feel that the seaweed was near as big of a problem as others stated. Food: The food overall was pretty good, not fantastic (except for a few things) but overall we were never hungry. The buffet had a lot of variety. They even had a lobster night which was great! Pasta bar, tacos, and a huge variety of different foods to satisfy everyone. We ate at the Tao restaurant one night. The food was good, there was a serve yourself sushi bar but overall the service was slow. Bruschetta was ok. Not fantastic but I had the lasagna which was pretty good. My partner had the beef scallopini (sp?) which she really liked. Rodeo was by far the best restaurant we went to. The Ribeye steak was huge and cooked perfectly and definitely try the cheese fondue with chorizo! The soups were great as well. The flavor of the flank steak was really good too! We never tried Aroma. Entertainment: We went to Casino night which was a ton of fun. You got to play with “Fun Money” but could cash it in for real prizes at the end. Felix and Super Mario were our favorite entertainers! We also saw the Michael Jackson show and attended the Mexican Fiesta night which were fun. Most of the evening entertainment was held at the plaza bar which is open 24 hours!!! Lots of seating and a very relaxed atmosphere. I think I hit all of the major points. Some things to mention: the resort was much more condensed than the one we went to last year which was nice because you still did a lot of walking but everything was pretty much together. There was only one place to access the beach which was fine but there isn’t any actual beachfront rooms. Some of the higher up rooms probably had a beach view but then you loose out on the swim up!! I just want to say one more time how friendly all of the staff were. Absolutely everyone from the housekeeping, hostesses, pool maintenance staff, bartenders, servers, etc. No one ever passed you without a friendly smile and an “Hola”. We will definitely be returning to this resort!

If you are looking for a fun resort...STAY HERE!!

I absolutely loved this resort! Stayed here from Nov 20-Nov 24, I recommend staying a minimum of 6 nights because 4 nights just is not enough! I called ahead to be asked to be put by the building by the main pool bar. This was building 3, we stayed in room 3015 and it was a prime location to get sun all day and easy access to the pool bar. Our room was close enough to all the action that we were able to sit on our terrace and watch the daily events/games/parties. Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm "Welcome Home" which was amazing. Every single person from the front desk to the bell boys to the waiters were an absolute dream. They truly aim to please and each morning I was greeted by my name which was such a unique and personal touch to my stay. I truly did not expect them to remember my name! I can definitely see why people come back to this resort 5 or 6 times. ROOM: When we arrived, the room was nice. Double sinks, huge tub, shower, and private bathroom. Our only complaint was that we found random strands of hair in the bathroom, the floor, on the bed, etc. This was definitely a turn off but within the hour I received a call from the front desk asking if everything was okay with our arrival. I explained what happened and right away they sent someone to our room to clean. I HIGHLY recommend getting a swim out room. There is nothing like waking up, throwing on your bathing suit, and walking outside. Not having to lug around a beach bag, money, or my phone when going to the pool was SO convenient! FOOD: Excellent food, liked the buffet a lot. There is definitely something for everyone. They had a seafood night and I legit had a whole plate full of lobster. DELISH. The drinks were good as well. I am a whisky drinker and mainly stuck with Jack and Cokes. The room also comes with 3 bottles of liquor to keep and they restock your fridge each day. You also don't need to make reservations for dinner unless you are doing Hibachi. ENTERTAINMENT: What this place did not lack was the entertainment. They have a whole team dedicated to making sure you are having fun. From mid-day activities, music, and foam parties on the weekends. The staff come around and try their best to make sure you are having a good time. Loved meeting Eder! (Say hello to him for me, he is an absolute HUNK!) There are also nightly shows so you have something to do after dinner! The beach is about a 5 minute walk from the main pool bar with plenty of chairs for seating. The water was warm but the ground was rocky so I avoided going in. There was not too much seaweed but if you walk along the shore towards the family side the beach was much better. There is also a shuttle that leaves at various times throughout the day to go to 5th ave, we did that one day and bought a ton of souvenirs. I recommend going into town, I felt safe and round trip I think it was around 9 bucks! OVERALL I have to give this place 5 stars! I am already planning my birthday trip here next summer and I cannot wait to bring all my friends back! THANK YOU for an amazing stay :D

Beware if you are not a smoker, this resort is not for you. People are allow to smoke on the outside of the property and everywhere you walk, you will be inhaling smokes. Food were decent (could be better), however the room services are horrible and only serve between 6am-midnight. If you're hungry after a night out, be prepared to starve. Services was good. All staff are available to help and the waiters and bartenders are friendly and helpful. Plenty of pools and beache area to lounge and swim.
