(December 5, 2011) - CheapCaribbean.com, the number one U.S. website dedicated to Caribbean and Mexico travel, has announced the hiring of new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Paul Jenkins. Jenkins' expertise will help to optimize the company's growth through systems such as website performance, which will ensure ease of use for CheapCaribbean.com travelers.
In this role, Jenkins will be responsible for CheapCaribbean.com's IT and development organizations, charged with setting technology direction and driving core innovations to expand business opportunities and company growth. This includes the redesign and optimization of the company's website, IT infrastructure improvements and an expansion of capabilities for CheapCaribbean.com's growing traveler base.

Jenkins' 27 years of experience and knowledge spans a broad technology and business base. He previously served as the CEO and CTO of CruiseLabs, Inc., an e-commerce travel technology company that built the next generation cruise shopping and booking engine and tools for consumer websites. Prior to joining CruiseLabs, Inc., Jenkins served as a consultant to Travelocity, in which he upgraded Travelocity Cruise services. He also holds three patents, one for his development of integrated voice messaging and two for developments in data systems.
