The hotel was substandard, my toilet got back up. There plumbing system is third world, they charge you $6 bucks a minute to use your room phone. I felt that this hotel and everyone in that country is trying to make a buck off you. I will never go back to Cancun.
We traveled with 7 and 10 year old girls. They loved the pool and easy access to sweet drinks and snacks. The hotel always had some activities for the kids and tix tix the clown was awesome. The night shows were enjoyable, especially mr candela, again kid focused. We enjoyed the buffets for the quick and easy choices for the kids. We had two choices for a la carte, la bamba was great, no reservations needed. Carlos was an amazing server. We wanted to try los Agaves, but it requires a recervation to be specifically made at 4 pm, must admit always forgot to make it there quite at 4, but even though the restaurant was 40% full they refused to sit us. The “double bed” room was very small for 4 people, but for the price and location we did not care. Finally, according to employees they were very unbooked during our stay, yet the bar and snack lines were 30 mins long between 12 and 4 pm. Over all we enjoyed our stay because our kids had everything they needed.
I was looking for a place for Spring Vacation with my daughter and her two daughters. We took a chance on Oasis Palms, never having been to Cancun before, and not knowing how to even begin to pick a resort for us to go to. So, I just read reviews about Oasis Palms. The price was what I was looking for....and we went. We were not disappointed at all. Fun time for all ages. It did not feel crowed at all...everything is all spread out. Plenty of room to swim in the pool. Everything we needed was there at the resort. No need to leave (but, we do go to a flee market one morning). When we got our room...it was a standard room and to our surprise it faced the ocean. That was a true bonus! We will definitely return.
The hotel was clean and the food was good but I was suppose to be on an all inclusive package. But this all inclusive was limited. Too many things that were extra charge if you used. The room was clean and the staff was great except the 2 lamps in the room did not work at all. I did mention it and was told it would be fixed. There were electrical problems in that room and it didn't get fixed during my stay. I also did not like that fact that the swim up bar pool was always filled with children. I don't think they should be in this pool when There are 2 other pools for children already. I have been to Mexico on all inclusive resorts in Playa Del Carmen and these were more exotic so I guess that is what I am use to. This wasn't a bad place just not what I'm use to.

If kids stay and eat free at an all inclusive resort how do we go about air-fare?6 answers
Is their a sat price for their airfare?
8 years, 98 months ago
The childrens airfare will be the same amount as your airfare.. Best to book with Cheapcaribbean.
When you create your reservation online you still have to include your children on the hotel portion of the booking. Although the hotel portion is free, they will be charged for airfare, so our site will pull seats for everyone on the land reservation. You'll see a breakdown of the charges before you move ahead to book the reservation
The airfare for the kids would be extra.
same price than adult
It gets averaged into your package from Cheap Caribbean.
They will have airfare and transfer fees.
What does the inclusive price include? Is this just for the airfare or the room too?
7 years, 95 months ago
Includes hotel room, food and beverages. Does not include air unless stated.
AIRFARE, ROOM, BREAKFAST,AND DAILY PASSES TO THE WATERPARK, AQUARIUM AND BEACH
The price includes everything; but at this resort everything is not much; food is inedible, liquor poor, and service non existant. See my comments, if they print them.
If you are booking a package that will include airfare, hotel price (any All-Inclusive features they offer, if any) and taxes. The price may not include arrival or departure taxes however. To receive more information for what is included in a package pricing, please contact 1.800.915.2322.
Airfair including all taxes and fees, transportation to and from airport, room, unlimited food, unlimited drinks (including alcohol), tips, and use of pool and beach facilities. Not included were excursions to area sites such as Mayan ruins, caves, water parks, snorkeling at coral reefs, etc., nor transportation to shopping. However, the bus stops right outside the resort, comes by every two to five minutes, and only costs 80 cents per person to ride. Also, a safe to lock up valuables costs extra as does the internet. They charge $20 daily for an internet connection.
My package, which I presume is the standard package, included airfare, transfers to and from hotel, room, all you can eat food, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Alcohol is "standard" house brands, not top of the line, which you can pay for if you choose. It was a really great price deal for me!
It includes all your meals at any time. The airfair from Fort Lauderdale, florida. The room is also included. You do have to pay some room taxes in addition.
I would not purchase the Oasis Palm Beach all inclusive rate. Stay at The Oasis Cancun or The Grand Oasis instead. The all-inclusive rate includes all food and domestic beer and liquor at the resort. You can also travel to the Oasis Cancun and eat and drink until 6pm with the same band.
Airfair,Room, food and drinks all u can eat and drinks
Air fare, room, disco and hotel activities, food, snacks and drinks soft and national alcohol.
The all inclusive price includes airfare, room, meals, drinks, and entertainment within the hotel. The drinks include alcoholic beverages, but Corona seems to be the only beer offered.
All inclusive means, airfare, transport to and from the airport, the room, and all the food you can eat and drink you can drink. The drinks are middle class, no Patron, but not bad and worth it
It includes airfare, room, transportation to and from the airport, and all meals and drinks.

Bottled water?9 answers
Do any of the all-inclusive resorts provide bottled water?
6 years, 77 months ago
Most all inclusive properties do include bottled water for drinking. Please also know that Cancun does have a very sophisticated water filtration system so the water that is used for making ice, cooking and rinsing vegetables is very safe for consumption.
Yea they do, but the rooms are sub-par
they do, but you have to ask for it! they wouldn't offer it or pu them in your room if you don't ask for it!
Yes, they all do. Most have free mini bars too, but not the Oasis Palm. You only get 2 bottles a day.
Yes,they will bring it to your room, as many bottles as you need at any time of the day.
Me and my husband stayed at Oasis Palm recently and got 2 bottles of water in the room daily. That was it.
But if you go out the hotel and walk to the right, cross the brigde, and then cross the street, you will find a mini market, and a little farther down, a bigger store called OXXO where you can purchase water.
Yes, and they leave about 4 bottles in your room every day.
Yes, they provide bottled water. And all the snack/alcohol stands provide water from a large jug (one that you would find in an office)
how far is the beach11 answers
is the beach on the resort
6 years, 74 months ago
The resort sits on a white, sandy beach on a shallow, calm stretch of Caribbean Sea.
Yes, and it's beautiful and comfortable.
The resort is on the beach,it takes about two minutes from the hotel room to the beach and one minute to the pool :-)
Yes, but it's lousy because it's at the end of the Bay.
yes, it is right on the resort.
The beach is on the property
It's right outside of the resort.
The beach is a few feet from the pool
the hotel's beach is only a few steps but it is not a very attractive piece of beach, but good if you have kids because there are no big waves.
The beach is right there at the resort. Although the ocean is not nice to swim. I just posted a review of the hotel where I say why.
this is a bay, no waves, very shallow, full of grass, leafs, algae, etc...
About 20 feet past the pool. This picture was taken from the water line towards the pool and bar area.
What is the cost per person to up grade to get to eat at all restaurants and what other things need to be upgraded.?6 answers
What is the cost to upgrade for all restaurants and what else will need to be upgraded when we arrive
5 years, 70 months ago
Please be advised that you would need to check directly with the resort upon arrival regarding this information.
Since we moved to as different Oasis hotel we payed $20 per person per day but every Oasis has a different price to upgrade
We paid $40 a person back in December 2012. We got to eat wherever we wanted, use another pool and lounge chairs on the beach and a nicer room in the renovated portion of the resort with a nicer lobby. If you don't have young kids, it is worth it but otherwise, some of the restaurants you get upgrades for, don't allow children.
$30 per person per day
Dont know about the cost. But please take into consideration that not all restaurants will open if the hotel managers feel there are not enough guests staying there.
So at Oasis Palm there are 2 buffets, but one closed half of the time we were there because of that reason ( not enough guests).
So if you upgrade to Grand Oasis Palm, you might end up in that situation where not all restaurants are open.
It is about $45USD per person per day to upgrade. You also have to pay more for higher premium alcohol (Crown Royal) and wines (Pinot Grigio) If you need access to a safe that is an additional upgrade charge.

Age requirement3 answers
If you're 18-24 you have to be accompanied by a parent? Or you can just be with someone that is over 24? Two of our guests are 24, one is 25, and one is 27.
5 years, 66 months ago
The minimum age to check-in at any Oasis Resort is 18.
Student/Youth Travelers are defined by the resort as any guest under the age of 25 traveling without their legal parent/guardian. Please be advised that Spring Breakers and Student/Youth GROUPS between the ages of 18-24 are not accepted at this resort. This policy applies year round. If you do not adhere to the Student/Youth Policy, your reservation will be canceled and you will be notified accordingly. Resorts reserve the right to deny check-in.
Please call cheapcaribbean.com to book your reservation at 1-800-915-2322 as we would need more details to answer your question.
no, anyone over 18 is good
I am 38 and booked two rooms. I put my 18 year old's in their own room. If you're 18-24 now and the 25 & 27 year old you can book it, but I have a feeling you would like it better elsewhere. This resort has an abundance of infants to 12 year olds with parents. Not the fun party crowd you might be looking for.
Does there have to be a person over the age of 25 to book a room?4 answers
We were thinking about booking an all inclusive package for January. We have two individuals who are 21, and three who are 20. Since we are not over the age of 25 and our legal guardians are not coming, will we be able to book a vacation? We found the section on Youth Groups to be a little confusion and need some clarification.
5 years, 65 months ago
For specific questions regarding the resort's age requirement for check-in, we do suggest contacting the resort directly as they would be best to assist you. The email address found on the resort's website to contact them directly is email@example.com.
Don't think so.

what is the difference between oasis palm, oasis cancun, and Grand oasis palm?8 answers
Are they all in the same location? do any of them have a casino? which one has access to the beach parities?
5 years, 65 months ago
The Oasis Palm is 5 minutes from downtown Cancun, the Oasis Cancun is 25 minutes from downtown Cancun and the Grand Oasis Palm is 20 minutes from downtown Cancun. For more information about the Oasis Runaway Program please contact our Beach Experts at 1-800-915-2322.
There are two resorts on the same property- one is the Palm and one is the Grand. The Grand is an upgrade and worth the price for a nicer room and access to all of the restaurants. The Oasis Company does have a couple more resorts in Cancun and one in Tulum. The beach at the Oasis Cancun (other side of town) is bigger, although we have enjoyed both resorts. They have another adult only resort which I have not seen.
Oasis palm is the lowest end, not much to offer in way of fun. The grand is next door and has more amenities, better restaurants etc. I believe oasis cancun is the best one. Not much for beach parties, pretty family friendly. At oasis palm, there is a Captain Hook booze cruise for $90 pp. I
didn't do it but looked like a good time at night.
a lot the grand oasis is NICE the Palm is a family resort, not nearly as nice as the palm
The Grand Oasis and the Oasis Palm are next to each other. It's a one minute walk. The oasis Cancuan is located ( so Im told), on the Atlantic Ocean where as the other two are on the Caribbean.
Oasis Palm and Oasis Cancun are the basic and the Grand Oasis Palm and Grand Oasis Cancun are the upgrades. With the basic you do not get all the restaurants and bars. The Oasis Palm hotels are in the bay and the Oasis Cancun are on the ocean. Much more beautiful. We visited the Oasis Cancun for a day and enjoyed it much more. Food was better, the pool was better and it was much livelier. More young people there.
The PALM OASIS is 'low rent' - one star -hotel dirty / tacky / crowded.
The OASIS CANCUN and the GRAND OASIS palm are high rent / clean / 5 start hotels located at the opposite end of the PALM OASIS.
The PALM OASIS advertises the oasis cancun like it's their hotel & it is NOT!
pick oasis cancun not the other two
Is there a night club at the hotel? If not onsite, how far away is the nearest one?7 answers
5 years, 65 months ago
Oasis Palm is located five minutes from the nightlife of downtown Cancun.
There's a small night club I guess the name is Kokol or so. You have to go to the clubbing area esp if you're looking for the best of the best. Go to Coco Bongo
Yes but it closes at midnight.
Yes there is a disco but we did not check it out. The public bus runs 24/7 and to the clubs takes about 10 minutes and will cost you about $.50 each way. Easy and cheap
Yes there is one at the hotel
There is a small nightclub on the Grand Oasis Palm side but it is only open from 7-12, if you want to party hard take a taxi or bus (safe and cheap) and go to the shopping area of the hotel district. It's only about 10 minutes away.
are there nightly shows?10 answers
5 years, 64 months ago
There is nightly entertainment as well as a nightclub. However please remember that hours and availability are subject to change. You can contact the resort for more information. Here is the link to their contact page: https://www.oasishotels.com/hotels/oasis-palm.php#prettyPhoto[iframes]/0/
Yes and they are entertaining.
yes, but not fancy and sporadic.
Yes but we did not find them to be very interesting and only lasted about 1/2 hour to an hour. One night they had a Michael Jackson dedication, they had a fire show scheduled one night but due to the wind it was canceled and not replaced. Not much to do after dark except sit in the bars.
yes. Don't miss the Mayan show. It is fantastic
Yes, while we were there they had a Caribbean dance show and a Michael Jackson impersonator show.
There are nightly shows. I can't vouch for the quality of them but they have kept me awake. :-)
yes, every nights while we stayed there.
I bought the vacation package through Cheapcaribbean. Do I still need to call the hotel to reserve the rooms?
5 years, 63 months ago
All reservations are sent directly to the resorts immediately upon finalization of your CheapCaribbean.com booking. We normally receive the resort's confirmation number within the week a reservation is booked should you with to call our office for that information.
NO, They book everything for you
We did not.
No you don't need to call anyone. Your hotel already has your info.
No, but even though we bought at the hotel Oasis Palm they said they overbooked and moved us to Grand Oasis Palm. The first floor is labeled PB and we believe that means purple band since the Grand is an upgrade and a black band. It was the first floor with not much of a view. We were not able to eat at the buffet or the speciality restaurants on that side with our purple bands.
No the on-line reservation will cover everything until you arrive.
No, Cheapcarribean takes care of it all.

No, you need to pay transportation.
I am wanting to buy a package for my parents anniversary, will they have issues when checking in since I will not be with them, and they do not have my credit card?
4 years, 59 months ago
This should not be a problem, when making the reservation make sure you note that you are purchasing this as a gift, and that you will not actually be traveling.
No,if they have the reservation, they only need to show the passports, don't buy tours in the hotel, they are very expensive,I don't know how old they are but they will love xel-ha
You have to check with hotel. I think you can put cash down for deposit.
Will need a credit card!
I have stayed there twice and they have only asked for my passport and Cheapcaribbean hotel voucher.
If you purchase all inclusive and pay upfront, no need your cc.

yes, however if you want beer the only one they serve is Dos XX
All-Inclusive at Oasis Palm includes alcohol.
Yes, you can drink all the alcohol you want but only the house blend.
Yes, includes some alcohol. They have a listed of about 15 drinks that are included, and local beer is included. There's a charge for other, what they call, premium drinks. The free ones include Rum Punch, Pina Colada, Miami Vice, etc.
Alcohol is included, but it's low quality. If you tip they will put in more alcohol but I would rather have better alcohol.
yes - all alcohol and food
Yes, it includes all alcohol (not premium, but still good!)
do you have any 2 bedroom suites4 answers
we would like to have a room that would be mom and dad in one bedroom, the kids in another.
4 years, 57 months ago
We have a Family Room which has two rooms - one for parents and one for kids. For further details, please call us at 1.800.915.2322.
That I am not sure.
The family room is 2 rooms with an adjoining door. One room is standard and the other is decorated for kids. Lots of room and 2 bathrooms. The only issue is that both rooms exit to the hall, so if you are worried about kids escaping in the night, that could be a concern.
Beautiful suites, we stayed in one.
They have adult rooms with adjoining kids rooms at the Oasis Palm, however the rooms are very out-dated and smelled extremely musty. We stayed in a kids room the first night and were horribly congested.

Are the safe and refrigerator (mini bar) installed in rooms and included in price, or they may be requested at the check-in? If on request, what's the charge?
4 years, 56 months ago
Fort Myers, Florida
This resort does offer in room safes at an additional charge. Refrigerators/mini bars are not included in the room amenities. However, you may be able to request one for an additional charge. For pricing please contact the resort directly.
There is a safe in the room, but you need to pay a daily fee, which wasn't much. And there is a mini bar...you will be charged at checkout. Water is free though
No two both, safe can be purchased but to expensive.
The safe is in the room and the charge was $7 per day. The refrigerator is in the room and can be stocked with soda, beer, candy, and there is a charge for that. Our fridge didn't have anything in it but a few sodas and we didn't drink them, so not sure of the charge. We stored water in it. The hotel did provide free bottled water.
There is a fee for the safe. The minibar has a fee for the Oasis Palm, but it may be included for the Grand Oasis Palm. The water bottles are free though.
Safe is extra. No fridge needed...everything accessible.
If you stay at the Oasis Palm, there is not a refrigerator in the room at all and you cannot get any ice in the hotel either. They do have an extremely small safe, I think it was around $7 a day-you are better off putting your own lock on your suitcase. If you must go to this place.....at least upgrade to the Grand Oasis-you will be a little happier-our room here had a small refrigerator that was semi-cold.
You have to pay for safe and they charge you for Wi-Fi
safe you need to pay for - no fridge available

I am looking to find out if we would be able to stay in this hotel for a week in May. Two of us are 18 and two are 19. The Student/youth policy seems a little odd to me. Could we stay here?
4 years, 54 months ago
The minimum age for check in is 18, however, they do have certain guidelines in place for Spring Break Travelers. For more information, please contact one of our Beach Experts at 800-915-2322
I do know the drinking age is 18 so I would say if you have a valid credit card in your name you are ok.
Yes. You will need credit card to cover incidentals...such as trashing the place. It may not be you....but mixing alcohol, friends & miles away from parents, things could get out of hand. Hotel is just protecting their investment. Respect them for that and remember why you're taking this trip, Enjoy :)
Yes got sure, you would enjoy it very much. April would be better, as Spring Break us going on.

The Grand Oasis is better (found out after the fact myself). The nightly Mariachi band is awesome! They usually share 30 min. shifts with a more traditional band, both were very good.
The Oasis Palm is the "party side" where the Grand Oasis Palm is the "not party side." There was a fire show and a magic show while we were there, both were pretty good.
yes you can - the entertainment at the oasis palm is great - they have a disco now and again but after the entertainment there is not a lot to do - not even at Grand Oasis
Nothing to do at oasis palm don't bother. grand oasis is better or pyramid oasis the bigger one is fabulous.
