Beautiful resort

I have travelled to Jamaica 5 times! I love it! I have been to several different resorts. This one by far was the most beautiful! The grounds were pristine! The villas were well kept. Food was good. Sadly, now comes the cons. I love Jamaica because of the hospitality and care free living. This was THE WORST hospitality I have ever had in my travels. I say that very sadly. I am used to such kind and friendly people in Jamaica. There were a few who went above and beyond however, most employees I found were rude and not hospitable at all. I spent a good amount of money at this resort but I did not feel welcome at all. The pool bar was horrible. Good luck getting a drink! Shopping.....? All of the workers were miserable. No smiles, thank you’s or general pleasantries. The excursions were another issue. I’m not sure why but the excursions we took were ALL a 7 hour day. The actual excursion was a couple hours. We spent 5 hours traveling on the bus. We were always the first ones picked up and the last dropped off. I’ve never had this happen before. Best I can guess is that the bussing service was in this area and picked us up first.... delivered ya back last because that was the end route. Not sure if that is why but 5 hours on a bus is miserable. I had two teens with me! Ugh. I will return to Jamaica but not to this resort. I would rather have a lesser resort with friendly staff than a beautiful resort with RUDE staff!!

Definitely a must do for first timers

We rented a car and explored the rest of the island a couple of days out of seven. I would probably stay at a local spot in the future but this was a great way to get our feet wet! As women traveling alone we were approached by men a LOT when not on the resort so that’s something to think about. The beaches are cool at the resort and not packed, the food at the steak house and Italian restaurant was really good. Our room smelled like mildew, the in room phone didn’t work well, and the buffets are not great but those are the only complaints we had. Overall, a really great experiwnce in a really beautiful spot!

The Grand Palladium Jamaica, a great place!

We had a great time! The room was spacious and nice. The only thing that could've been better was the mini fridge which didn't get very cold. Another guest said they had the same problem but really it wasn't that big of a deal. Our room was ground level with a patio that faced the sea and every morning a groundskeeper would come by and offer us a coconut to drink from and it was delicious. There are several restaurants. We ate at the buffets, the jerk shack, the asian restaurant, the El Dorado and the Sports bar. We enjoyed every meal. The only thing that we had a challenge with was the timeframes with which they were open but again not a big deal just had to plan better in the morning if we wanted actual breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. We went on a couple of excursions, the Luminous Lagoon and then the Bob Marley mausoleum and Dunn's river falls. The Luminous Lagoon was amazing and I believe a must try! It was also really interesting to travel the countryside on the way to the excursions.. the Bob Marley and Dunn's trip was over 2.5 hours from our hotel and the guide gave us a lot of great info on the country. It was really something to see the local towns and countryside.. the beaches at the hotel were beautiful and clean and I felt safe and secure wondering around the resort. I would definitely recommend The Grand Palladium Jamaica!

What's to Love

It's all-inclusive, all-incredible and all-irie - you're in the earth-heaven known as Jamaica.

The dreamy 86,000 sq. ft. infinity pool with in-water loungers & Jacuzzis - the largest in Jamaica.

Vegging at the Zentropia spa - Turkish baths, Finnish sauna, the refreshing footbath & oceans more.

If you're vegetarian, they've got taste bud-slaying food choices, and no reservations required at any of the restaurants.

The ever-helpful & friendly staff - they're the crowning jewel of this awesome place.

The delish Jamaican coffee in the cafe. Perfect any time.

What We'd Change

The city of Lucea is pretty quiet, but you will not need outside nightlife when the bars, theater and nightclub at the resort are happening!

Why You Should Go

It's just a half hour from airport, but in Jamaica you'll feel the vacay vibe the second you arrive.

There are sister privileges next door at the Lady Hamilton.

The Kids Club for ages 4-12 is where kiddos can meet "Raggs," one of 5 musical friendly dogs.

There's no smoking in all public covered areas on the island as per the Jamaican Health Minister.

For a fee, you can enjoy sailing, scuba diving, the fitness center and more.

On land, there's tennis, archery, mini-golf & for bigger greens, tee off at the Tryall Golf Course.
