  Fantastic Trip

  Stayed for 11 days in Casitas and enjoyed every minute ! Pool was awesome , restaurants excellent , and concierge service was always there to help . Special shoutout to Wilma for her always trying to make each day better than the previous one ( which was hard to top) .. Julio ( and for the last two days Manuel) were excellent at the swim up bar …always ready to make whatever drink you wanted . The rooms are fantastic and we really enjoyed the Al a crate restaurants . A few upgrades to consider … 1 )Put some sports screens in the beach bar so Saturday and Sunday football can be watched . 2) In the main show theatre put some fans ( instead of the hanging birds) in the bar area and perhaps remove the large screen and put a few smaller screens so more broadcasts can be viewed at the same time . Small issues but would add to an already strong offering at the resort …. Larry and Wendy

  Rocky Start

  We have been here just 1 day and so far not impressed. We had been staying at another resort for years and due to circumstances we decided to try this resort based upon many reviews hoping to make this our new home away from home. I will update this review since it is early on. I will say it is a nice, large and beautiful place with everyone so far friendly. It started rocky with the private transfer from Lomas...the driver seemed distracted and seemed to drift and swerve on the highway, I was so glad when we got there even going the wrong way on a one way street. When we got there we were hungry so the girl at the check in recommended La Isla as a good "Buffet" and was looking for that but turns out it was a La Carte and mainly fish (we don't do fish) so went searching for the burger place and of course got lost. After having a good meal, we got our room and the patio door lock was completely broken so the room was completely unsecure (it did get fixed in a timely manner). The same girl at reception booked us the Mexican Restaurant at 7:30 on that night. Getting lost again we arrived still early at 7:10 and was told the restaurant was closed. The signage directing you to various buildings and restaurants is pretty much non existent. We decided to go back to the Mexican Fiesta Day of the Dead celebration and we had a pork taco which was all fat and completely turned my stomach. We have now just made it back to the room after waiting a long time at the small shuttle stop shelter (not well organized) and my appetite is gone but not from consuming food. This is probably the most frustrating first day ever in Mexico. Tomorrow is a new day and will update this review near the end to see if it improved from it's rocky start, fingers crossed because I really want to like this place.

  Good resort, amazing staff

  Overall the staff and personnel at this place make it a wonderful experience. Everyone is offering help with getting around or planning local excursions or room service, etc. The grounds are kept very clean and there are options everywhere for food and drinks. We visited the animal sanctuary and learned a bit about the Mayans and the tour guides were super friendly and knowledgable. Overall the food and drinks were good, the casitas were very nice and updated and room, but the people who work there go above and beyond any normal expectations and it really makes for a pleasant and comfortable experience. We had no plans of visiting Cancun again but based on our experience we would definitely come back again. It's all inclusive but please bring cash for tips as they are well deserved.

  Great place to hang out for 11 days..

  Our personal concierge Wilma was outstanding. Made our stay a 10 out of 10. Bar tenders Julio and Manuel went out of their way to provide us a great experience at the swim up pool. Already booking for next trip.. All restaurants were first class, waiters remembered us from our previous trip.. All resort staff were super friendly and some went out of their way to help us..

  Our First Time at El Dorado Casitas Royale: A Perfect 10!

  We couldn't have asked for a better first experience at El Dorado Casitas Royale—it was amazing! Our swim-up casita was a perfect base: so much space, a ridiculously comfortable bed, and the luxury of choice with a massive indoor shower, an outdoor shower, and a tub. Being able to just swim right up to the bar for a refill was pure vacation bliss. The true standout service from Julio and Wilma at Casitas section 30. Wilma made our trip feel extra special; she was consistently checking in to see if we needed anything. We loved the diverse food scene. We had great breakfasts (Santa Fe was a favorite!), but we couldn't resist going to the Thai restaurant twice for dinner. Plus, the ease and accuracy of the room service—always spot on and delivered fast—made for effortless meals. Ordering food, lunch/dinner reservations, and even supplies/amenities through the resort website was a breeze. The resort's expansive layout gives it a special, exclusive feel. With guests so spread out, our little slice of the pool/beach was quiet and uncrowded. It truly felt like a private retreat! We are already planning our next trip back.
