Prestigious list ranks largest travel companies by sales. CheapCaribbean.com comes in at #24, proving its place as the Beach Vacation Experts
Plano (June 27, 2013) - Fast-growing online travel booking website CheapCaribbean.com makes its first appearance on the influential Travel Weekly Power List for 2013, debuting at number 24. Travel Weekly and TravelWeekly.com, the most respected news resources for travel industry professionals, made the announcement earlier this week. The ranking is based on 2012 sales figures. Companies had to report $100 million or more in sales to qualify for the 2013 list. CheapCaribbean.com is projected to report more than $500 million in sales this year.
“This is an exciting time at CheapCaribbean.com, and we are honored to be recognized by Travel Weekly,” says Josh Paine, CEO of CheapCaribbean.com. “CheapCaribbean.com has seen tremendous growth year after year since we began in 2000. This latest honor helps to solidify our position as a top booking website for consumers looking for affordable, luxury travel to the Caribbean and Mexico.”
Roughly 70 companies were surveyed for the annual power list. Companies were asked to answer questions involving sales figures, ARC sales, travel-related subsidiaries, business mix, corporate structure, and others. The survey, which launched in 2001, also asked companies about recent and planned developments, and took into account answers regarding the quality of the company’s corporate culture and level of customer service.
