  Amazing place to stay!!

  This place was amazing, not very big and just the way it should be. Everyone here is so welcoming. The food is delicious and the beach is amazing!!!

  Another amazing stay

  Our second time here. We upgraded to the Privilege and it was worth it for sure just because of the Beloved Restaurant. It is a great view, great staff and great food/drinks. The Steakhouse tenderloin was stellar (coming from an Albertan) and Pracilla made our second night there very fun. My only complaint is the shampoo doesn't lather or clean your hair and the towels are not soft. The king room is a standard room and was always clean and tidy. We are early to bed so did not participate in any nightlife but enjoyed the beach, we reserved our beach chairs first thing in the morning. I love the room being in the jungle atmosphere vs the beach to escape the sun when needed. We will be back regularly.

  Catalonia Royal Tulum Cancun, our room was clean and the air was fresh. Service from our Butler's and Concierges were Amazing. We stayed in the Platinum room with a hot tub jacuzzi.outside our bedroom door.

  LOUD new neighbor!!! Day and night

  1 star, I know but this is a game changer based on multiple visits in the past. During our current stay Nov/2025 a new beach club started operating next door. Unfortunately its right against the property line adjacent to the beach and pool area. Their large sound system overpowers Catalonias poolside ambiance and the calming beach sounds with thumping base during the day. It continues through the night into the early morning hours also, thumping base overpowering our ear plugs and white noise machine. Unless something drastic happens (and never does) this will be our last visit, what a drag.

  Amazing hotel for an active couple

  We are a Canadian couple in our 50s, and we spent one week at Catalonia Royal Tulum the end of October 2025. The hotel is nestled in lush nature with a few species of animals and birds. Small but nicely finished, with a beautiful long shady alley, it's both peaceful and far from boring. It's not a place for big parties and heavy drinking, but there are daytime and nighttime activities that will appeal to a wide variety of people. The resort has such a relaxing tropical vibe — great for couples or anyone who wants to unwind. Beach & Pools • The beach is stunning: white sand, crystal-clear water and never too crowded. • We did a lot of snorkeling and appreciated the fact that the water was calm, making it easier to observe the fishes. We also greatly appreciated the absence of motorboats near the beach. • The only (minor) negative point is that the proximity of the pool and the beach does not allow for much tranquility for people on the beach who have not chosen to participate in the events around the pool. Room • Our room was spotless, comfortable and beautifully renovated. The balcony looked out onto lush greenery. • The bathroom was luxurious, with a huge shower. Shampoo, soap, shower gel, body lotion, shower cap and many towels. We hung up our towels after use and, except for one day, they were changed, which contradicts the small card in the bathroom. In our opinion, guests need to be more environmentally conscious, and the hotel needs to be more consistent with its messages. • Also, the bed wasn't very comfortable, as it had molded to our bodies (we don't like spring mattresses). We prefer firmer (foam) mattresses, which are also cheaper. Food & dining • The food was consistently excellent, with a good variety every day. From breakfast to dinner, everything was fresh and tasty. We loved the fish and fresh fruits. • Their themed restaurants are fun to discover, flavorful and well organized with the reservation web system. Staff / service • For us, the staff was the highlight of this hotel: friendly, attentive and always ready to help, with a smile. The service was prompt everywhere. We want to say gracias to all of them, in particular Tita, Paulina, Diego, Abraham and Eddie from the entertainment team, and then Quetzabel and Engeles from La Palapa buffet restaurant. • We enjoyed talking with the employees. We felt they were happy with their employment, and several expressed it. Cleanliness • Everything was very clean — from our room to the public areas, housekeeping did a great job. Overall experience A perfect stay. Catalonia Royal Tulum earned 10/10 from us. Oxana & Louis
