Nov 14, 2025A beautiful nature escape
The service is outstanding, everyone is incredibly kind. The rooms are spacious, the food and drinks easily deserves a 10! The property has beautiful scenery, including the lagoon and the cenote, and you can see plenty of wildlife and really connect with nature through activities like the snorkeling, cacao ceremony and the patios tour.

Nov 14, 2025Serene and peaceful but in need of a refresh
The resort is peaceful and quiet - neighboring construction is loud but not in their control. We could not hear it on the beach but could poolside. The property could use a refresh overall. The staff collectively were amazing and the food was definitely a high point. We attended the Cacao Ceremony with Dayanna which was peaceful, and a great respite from the sun. Wasn’t too long and gave a nice snapshot of Mayan culture.

Nov 13, 2025Stay far away from this ‘luxury’ resort
I don’t take writing reviews lightly. Here’s our recent experience at this resort. 1. Old property with consistent structural issues: things are basically falling apart at this resort. The photos of the property here, on Google, Expedia, are outdated and do not reflect the current property. Examples- we didn’t have hot water for 2 separate days. We’re waiting for the repairmen right now to fix plumbing issues before we head out. Our light fixture in bathroom fell along with a curtain rod. 2. Lack of amenities and entertainment: Toiletries in our room not replaced even after housekeeping cleaned our room. This happened multiple times. We didn’t even have enough toilet paper and had to call the front desk repeatedly to get more. No snacks in the room. Yes, that’s correct. Room service is NOT included and costs 20$ extra. This at an all inclusive resort. :( Without at least some night entertainment, it got a bit boring for us. They charged extra for a Mayan ceremony with we didn’t go. 3. Any recent reviews saying this is a quiet resort are suspect. There has been ongoing construction next door (and I mean so close that we can probably talk to the workers through the trees dividing the property) starting earlier this year. The noise is pretty noticeable especially around the pool and restaurant areas. HUGE cranes working on that property are visible. Final thoughts: Property is not truthful about its age and all the issues that other reviewers have mentioned. Front desk is neither helpful nor very conciliatory. I don’t think they really took some of our concerns seriously. This is not 5 star resort worthy customer service. I will say I didn’t have any issues with food and other hotel staff were great. We will not go back and I cannot recommend this resort.

Highly recommended!
The place itself is stunning, clean and natural. But above everything, what truly stands out is the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind and attentive. Their warm service made our experience unforgettable.

Mayan Ceremonies and Spa
Me and my partner did both the Cacao ceremony, and the Temazcal ceremony here at Blue Diamond Hotel, that was led by the incredible host Diana. She was knowledgeable and took time to explain the ancient traditions and guide us through them. So grateful to have experienced this as part of our stay. Highly recommend. Also, the rejuvenating spa package experience was Magnificent !!!! Period.
