Located on the lower-level plaza, Frank & Lola offers both indoor and outdoor seating.

  • SALTED RIM – MARGARITA BAR & LOUNGE
    Tequila, Margarita and “Salted Rims”….that’s what it’s all about. Salted Rim is a celebration of the agave plant in Mexico, which after distillation transforms itself into not only the most known Mexican beverage, tequila, but also the lesser-known Bacanora and increasingly popular Mezcal. They are all unique in their production and history.
    Located in the main lobby overlooking the property, guests can revel in Caribbean elegance with the finest lounge service, authentic and extensive selection of tequilas, mezcals and bacanoras, to create their favorite Margarita, blended, frozen, shaken, as well as other more adventurous creations. A menu is available, although our mixologists are ready to display their innovative bartending skills and prepare new and exciting concoctions.

    A Perfect Vacation!

    We can't say enough about Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya! The resort is on a smaller side (which we loved). There is no beach access, however, the four pool areas were clean and relaxing! Check-in was seamless, and we were also able to upgrade our room at that time for a small fee. Our concierge was Jaime who assisted us immediately in making our dining reservations. The resort was incredibly clean and staff were always working around the facility! The staff were attentive to our needs, friendly, and helpful! The restaurants were wonderful with our favorite being Frank & Lola's (loved the pizza...really!)! The breakfast staff at the Boathouse (buffet) were wonderful (Marcello, Erick, etc). The themed nights were entertaining as well. The lunch staff at License to Chill (Gambino and Jonathan) were fantastic and we loved the steak tacos and burritos. We loved our cocktails at the Salted Rim bar every night (another group of amazing bartenders). We did the hydrotherapy and massages at the spa. Both were fantastic! We did attend the meeting with a Karisma rep, but they were not pushy. Their presentation was very informative. We really don't have one negative thing to say about this resort! Our stay was relaxing, comfortable room (and always cleaned), great food and bars, and the staff was really excellent. We will definitely come back!

    5 STARS - Our Paradise is MRM

    This was our second visit to Margaritaville Riviera Maya this year and we are already planning our next trip. The resort is immaculate, food and service are excellent and we love the intimate size of the resort (not too big - not too small --- literally just perfect). There is no beach ---- read the reviews and if a beach is a necessity then don't book this resort. We love seeing & hearing the ocean but don't miss the beach at all while we are at this resort. Now for the amazing staff! Our concierge, Abel and our butlers Armando and Isaac made sure that every want & desire were taken care of from dinner reservations, excursions and so much more!!! The staff at Land Shark - Aaron, Grisel, Baldo and Humberto made sure that our tequila was always full - great food and great service. Be sure to go to the karaoke & bands after dinner. Entertainment was Top Notch with the crew of Angel, Angelo, Merial, and Quetzal --- they work so hard all day (& night) and truly have great spirits and always had a smile to greet us (along with lots of fun games!). Poolside staff was always available to fill our cups and Charly & Ismerai did a wonderful job of taking care of us at the Prestige pool. Last but certainly not least --- we enjoyed delicious food at both the steakhouse and italian restaurants ... and service did not disappoint there either - Bryan and Rafael took great care of us at Italian and Jesus made sure our birthday dinner was super special at JWB. We look forward to our next trip! Hasta Luego!

    A Perfect Blend of Relaxation, Flavour, and Hospitality at Margaritaville

    My partner and I stayed at Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya by Karisma – Adults Only from October 18th to 25th, and overall, it was an incredible experience. While the resort itself is on the smaller side and doesn’t have a beach, it more than makes up for it with its exceptional staff, outstanding service, and delicious food. During our stay, the resort was at about 40% capacity, which turned out to be perfect, never crowded, always relaxing, and easy to enjoy every part of the property. Both the steakhouse and Italian restaurant were excellent and are well worth choosing over the buffet. The License to Chill Bar & Restaurant was another highlight — their fresh, handmade tacos were some of the best we’ve ever had. I also want to give a special shoutout to a few of the amazing staff who made our trip unforgettable: Entertainment Team: Mariel was absolutely the best! She radiated positive energy every single day and was one of the friendliest faces at the resort. She even gave us a personal Spanish class — we learned everything we needed to know! Tú eres la mejor! S.O.S. Bar: Ivan and Sergio were the ultimate duo, always smiling and serving up the best poolside drinks. Whether it was a Piña Colada, Ranch Water, or Mango Margarita — these two could make it perfectly. Hands down, the best two-man bar team I’ve ever seen! Italian Restaurant: Jorge went above and beyond to make our dinners special. His attention to detail and great recommendations made each visit memorable — and trust me, try the pizza! Overall, what truly sets this resort above and beyond others is the amazing food, the unmatched quality of service, and the genuine warmth of the staff. Every detail, from the personalized touches to the friendly atmosphere, made our stay unforgettable.

    A great place for friends and fun

    We were a group of 9 women celebrating a milestone birthday. We had various types of rooms and all were wonderful. This resort was a perfect balance of reliving our youth and relaxation. There were spaces and times for partying and chilling. The best part about this trip was by far the staff. From breakfast to turn down service they were PHENOMENAL. Best experience I have had at a resort yet. The wait staff went above and beyond. Special shout out to: Boathouse and Gala: Hingino Jose Noel Erick Isaias Maximiliano Gabino JWB Steakhouse: Jimmy Israel Swim up Bars/Pool Bars: Eddie Moises Idania Ines Fernando (towels and excursion info.) And the real stars of our vacation - our Ambassadors Karen and Joaquin. They were the most attentive and friendly Ambassadors we have EVER had. From setting up our reservations and coffee service to helping us with medical needs and how to turn our lights off while still keeping the fan on - they were there for us! With almost 10 trips to this area for vacation this is a resort I will go back to for sure.

    Fun time with the girls

    We had a fantastic time celebrating at this resort. The food was yummy! The staff were absolutely AMAZING! The entertainment was fun! We had fun meeting and mingling with other guests. I would love to go back tomorrow :)
