As above
All staff were polite friendly from top to bottom they could not do enough for you we have been to quite a few places and Bahia Principe tops the lot 😀 But since "Hyatt" took over your standards have dropped 👎 they have put the prices up for less what you where giving 🤔 😒 So we are sorry to say we'll be looking at other places for our holidays unless we hear there has been changes hopefully for the best

Very large busy but clean resort
This resort is huge! The rooms were old. Bring an extension cord to plug in close to bed. The pool was crowded, the food was amazing. The only spot with air conditioning besides the rooms was the sports bar which is kind of away from everything. Staff was too large to get to know anyone. Overall we had a great time with family.

Super professional tennis coach
If a hotel has a highly qualified chef, it's usually advertised on the website, which attracts additional guests! I think it would be good practice to advertise tennis coaching. Coach Daniel Hamdan, who is certified by the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA), will teach you how to play from scratch, and a professional will find something to add to their knowledge base. I highly recommend the lessons; you can only become a master with a master.

Read before booking
This was one of the most disappointing resort experiences I’ve ever had. The entire setup at Bahia Principe Gran Coba feels like forced segregation. Because I stayed at the “lowest” hotel, I had almost no access to the others, while their guests can go anywhere they please. Every guest is marked by bracelet color, so you’re constantly identified and reminded you don’t belong. It feels degrading and humiliating. When I booked, there was no mention of this ridiculous system, and all four hotels were priced the same. Had I known, I would have chosen Tulum or Akumal, which are clearly far superior. Instead, just getting to the beach means walking through hotels where you don’t feel welcome — and with a foot injury I got during my trip, every step was painful. Having to limp past areas I’m “not allowed” in only made it worse. To add insult to injury, we made friends staying at the Tulum hotel. We even ate there with them before without issue, but this morning when we met them again, we were denied drinks — simply because of the color of our bracelets. Imagine paying thousands for a vacation and still being treated like a second-class guest. When I was asked to explain my 3 star review, all they offered me was a laughable $4 discount on an “upgrade bracelet” so I could finally access what other guests already enjoy. That’s not customer service, that’s exploitation. And this when I have 1 day left here. Bahia should be honest in their advertising: explain this system clearly before people book. Otherwise, scrap the whole concept because it ruins the vacation experience. There is a positive side to the hotel and it’s the staff at bars and restaurants, they are adorable and give an amazing service! Carlos and Ernesto at the Terraza bar, the barman at the poor people’s beach, and one of the ladies at the Lobby bar were excellent.

Avoid hotel is filthy 2 star at best
Awful experience! Arrived to a less than helpful receptionist told to check map when asked where things are! Room was disgusting dirty sheets broken furniture ants crawling on cabinet. Rest of hotel not much better sunbeds filthy fans above guest services absolutely caked in dust. Complained to guest services told would need to pay 300 dollars to upgrade refused but offered to pay difference it would have been for tullum next door was told they would speak with manager and to return in 1/2 hour. As walked away spotted a sanitary towel stuck to the floor in reception and noted several staff just walked past therefore reported to guest services. Returned in 1/2 hour as requested to be met by the rudest most unhelpful woman called chrystina who point blankly said they would be doing nothing. Had to request several times to speak to the manager who when we advised of the full story agreed to move us next door to the tullum free of charge.
