It's time to go to the sparkling Dutch Caribbean coast of Willemstad. The
Renaissance Curacao Resort and Casino is a stylish hot-spot for guests looking
for the relaxation of the beach and the excitement of Curacao. Located next
door, the 19th-century Rif Fort was once an active fort that protected the

Weather a winner
Curacua, especially the Willmasted area was great. Not sure about the rest of the island. The weather is perfect, 12 months of the year!
The resort was nice, room was good, although we had an "island view king" definately not an island view- it was of a baseball field and the oil factory in the background. But room was nice, bright and clean.
Staff was very helpful- we loved Silvio, our waitor!
Food options, not really the best. 4 places to chose from that were just average. And the last 2 days the coffee/convience store closed.
The pool was beautiful, no beach access, but that was fine- the pool is a salt water infinity pool.
Used the gym also- fine for our 5 day stay.
All in all it was a good trip. The hotel was clean and would recommend it. I read some reviews that they didn't have many options where to eat, but in reality there are four different places to dine and one cafe and never had to choose the same thing twice. Everything very tastey as well. The beach was nice, but artificial so it would not be a place you wanted to park at everyday if you are a beach goer. We rented a car one day and took a beach trip another in order to check out the whole island. It is a must to experience the beaches outside the resort. The hotel is located right next to a docking station for cruiseliners which is really cool to see them come in and out, but blocks your view somewhat. I would say our biggest complaint would be the service. Drinks and service took forever sometimes. We had two girls bartending at the bar next to the casino that wouldn't make eye contact with any customers. You had to yell out to get their attention and after acted like it was an inconvenience to take your order. All in all I would give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Best location on Curacao
This resort is in the absolute perfect location. It's right by RIF Fort, the floating bridge, and downtown. Lots of shops, restaurants and bars are within a very short walking distance. The food in the resort restaurants was very, very good. Make sure you ask for PETE in lobby restaurant. Having to sign a receipt for all food and drinks, even when you're on an "all inclusive plan" is a little weird. We also won some money in the casino! Everything was absolutely beautiful. There is no true pool or beach, but that wasn't important to us. We loved it. We strongly recommend it.

There is diving available at this resort. However, there are better diving facilities at the Curacao Marriott Beach Resort & Emerald Casino All Inclusive Resort. They have a 5 Star Dive Shop on property.

Room Information
Renaissance Curacao Resort and Casino features 237 rooms in a 4-story building. Most rooms feature a balcony. All rooms are equipped with high speed internet connection, mini-fridge, coffee maker, complimentary coffee and tea, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, bathrobes, in-room safe, LCD television and a comfortable bathroom.
Renaissance Curacao Resort is unbelievable: on the ocean with a full beach club, but downtown at the same time and close to Rif Fort shopping, dining and entertainment.
What We'd Change
The all inclusive plan doesn't include room service or the mini bar, but there are a ton of restaurants and bars a few steps away at Rif Fort.
