We loved our hotel and the location near the beach. The people who worked at the hotel were absolutely wonderful! Anything that we inquired about was answered quickly. The food was fabulous and they offerred a large variety with the all inclusive meals. The water was so clear you could see the fish swimming around you. We would recommend this trip to anyone.

Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort staff was very accommodating. Although the all-inclusive is a great value, by the end of the week you do get a bit tired of the same menu items. However the hotel does offer additional choices outside of the all-inclusive menu like Pirate Night or the Surf-n-Turf. The beach is beautiful with great snorkeling right at hotel. Some of the other beaches nearby are not as nice. If you have special diet concerns, the staff is very aware and will cater to your needs. Overall beautiful location and good food.
I purchased this trip as a gift for my boyfriend who has never been to the Caribbean....and I have never been to Cayman Islands.
We had an absolutely wonderful time! The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The all inclusive was the way to go! All of the food was delicious and top notch.
The excursions purchased were well worth it!
Although the hotel was notified of my boyfriend's birthday and it was requested that if they can, to do something special, that did not happen. No great loss there tho because it was such a spectacular weekend.
We went to Marriott CI for our Baby moon during 2/2/14 - 2/7/14 and had a very relaxing and wonderful time. We went with the all-inclusive plan, FYI. If you decide to also do the all-inclusive plan make sure to follow resort rules/directions to avoid additional charges when dining/drinking. There are certain restrictions but it's not too bad. Also, you do not have to give additional gratuity on the check since it's automatically added onto your bill. Our cab driver mentioned that tourism peak time for CI starts around mid-Feb and lasts until March so it wasn't that crowded on the beach and just about the right amount of people even at the Marriott. Plus, you can tell that since CI is an expensive destination, there weren't any obnoxious drunks much like other Caribbean Islands that we've been too. Very much enjoyed the cleanliness and peaceful beach fronts. Not to mention the clear blue and very calm water w/o much waves on the 7 Mile Beach. BTW, cab fare from the airport was $18.75 USD (excluding tip) when we traveled so I think is was cheaper compared to what was offered by Cheap Caribbean -- pickup was not available w/ Marriott, FYI.
• Truly excellent service and friendly staff
• Free internet Wi-Fi @ lobby and its connection works on the beach by the bar (if you need it)
•Rooms are clean and modern Beach umbrella available when requested -- they drill a hole into the sand stick 'em in
• Delicious food and “themed” meals every night
• Looks great for kids and there were "parents nights" where the resort offered babysitting service on some nights
• Int'l staff from all over the world- Philippines, Japan, Jamaica, GB, States, India, etc and not just locals
• Meet and talk to other guests from all over/all walks of life
• Keep in mind that real estate on CI is very expensive so the resort is not huge. It's a good size where it's intimate and everyone, including the staff, remembers who you are once you meet them
• 2 min walk to the beach
• Lack of local shopping outside of the resort. There was a little shopping area walking distance from the resort but it was very limited. Also, it was too hot to walk to the downtown area and we were island lazy
• Driving seemed a little intimidating bc it's a British island and everything is opposite. Also, not sure if you'll need an int'l license so research if you have to absolutely drive
• Minor: there are 4 restaurants/eateries @ Marriott CI. However, different themed nights so "more" options but same location
• 1 medium-sized pool
Things to consider doing
• Daily walks/run up & down 7 Mile Beach. Moonlight walk was also great with all the stars out
• Fish feeding
• Floaters, anchored in ocean
• Various water activities - name it and they have it, including jetpacks
• R&R time
Shout out to these staffs!
• Yuri (Hostess)
• Natalie (Waitress @ Solana)
• Carlos (General Manager)
• Tilly & Hannah (Waitress @ Sol Bar who gave water to my pregnant wife without us asking. Amazing, thank you)

Is this hotel kid friendly?2 answers
Looking for an allinclusive resort for honeymoon, would prefer more of an adult resort.

This resort is a family friendly resort, however Cayman Islands are not particularly known as a family friendly destination.
When we were there a lot of families were there with their children. However I did see some young couples there on their honeymoon. As a matter of fact, they had a wedding at the hotel while we were there.

What is exactly included in the 'All Inclusive' registration for Grand Cayman Marriott?2 answers
7 months ago
All-Inclusive would mean all of your meals, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), non-motorized watersports, activities as well as all taxes and fees are included with your package price.
all of your food from the 4 restaurants and all of your drinks - alcohol is house brands and you pay the upcharge for premiums. The selection is very good.
Gratuity is already included in the bill at each restaurant, so there is no need to tip additional unless you want to. Additional tipping is not included in the all inclusive, but the initial gratuity is.
Rentals of any snorkel or water equipment is not included.
Is this resort all inclusive?3 answers
I read some of the reviews online, and people were talking about how the restaurants and bar were a bit pricey.. I thought this resort was all inclusive?
Yes, this resort is all-inclusive. Included in your package would be breakfast daily in the Red Parrot restaurant, lunch at Solana Restaurant, Sol Bar or Balboa's and dinner in Solana Restaurant, Balboa's or Red Parrot. Also included are house brand mixed drinks, wine by the glass, frozen drinks and beer as well as the room cost, tax and gratuities.
you can go either way. we went all inclusive and I'm glad we did....the food is pricey otherwise.
All-inclusive is optional but there are restrictions/rules (i.e. where you can dine and not top shelf alcohol). Food prices were reasonable in my opinion whether you do all-inclusive or not. It wasn't crazy at all... Appetizers were less than $10 USD and entrees started around $15-20. But water was a little pricey in my opinion.
FYI, all guests still need to sign the check/bill but if you do all-inclusive, everything gets nullified at the end. If you drink or eat something that's not on the all-inclusive plan, you will get charged. Also, gratuity is already included with the all inclusive plan but additional tip is optional... keep your eyes open when signing those checks!
I think when doing the math at the end, it'll come pretty close whether you do the all-inclusive plan or not. Unless you looove alcohol or have children. In my opinion, all-inclusive is pretty much paying upfront where you don't have to really worry about the bill later and you don't have to nickle and dime on the essential stuffs like water/food. If I go again, I would do all-inclusive all over again.
