    Puerto Vallarta the "real Mexico"

    I LOVE this place! Old Mexico charm, just a handful of minutes from PVR. It is older, but very well maintained and the staff is incredible. The beds are comfortable, and the air conditioning works okay. The bathrooms are also dated but everything works. If you are expecting 5 stars on a 2 star budget you should look elsewhere. However, the fact that you get two resorts for the price of one is hard to beat. The beach bars are both fabulous. Although don't expect top shelf liquor. The bartenders are very nice and sometimes over worked. You can buy your liquor of preference right down the street and the bar will keep your bottle handy if you spend a lot of your time under the palapa on the beachfront. You can catch a local bus one block away for a quick trip to the Malecon for some sightseeing or shopping and the cab fare back is $7 USD and another handful of minutes. All in all, I highly recommend this place. If you are aging and don't get around real well, you'll love how close and convenient all the facilities are. Not to mention the bang you get for your buck.

    Great getaway

    This beachfront property was very reasonably priced. The food was great. My favorite restaurant was the Mediterranean place. The food was incredible and the service was impeccable. The water aerobics and nightly activities were great. I would stay at this place again. The nightly sunsets were so beautiful

    Honeymoon Getaway

    Upon arrival it was disappointing, room was not ready, had paid for the Honeymoon suite, and I had reserved the room months in advanced.

    Money better spent elsewhere

    This hotel was a mess from the moment we arrived. I didn’t want to believe all the negative reviews but they are all true. The staff are all super nice but it is chaos at this resort. The building is out of date and falling apart, paint peeling off the wall in the lobby, water pooling on the tile floors in the hallway from the leaking roof, mold around the air conditioner in our room. We we’re supposed to stay four nights we checked out after one night and rented an Airbnb. Do not stay at this resort.

    Worth a stay

    A basic 3-star hotel. Generally clean and friendly staff. For an affordable all-inclusive, worth the stay. Food was very good (breakfast and lunch buffet). They keep the pool clean and with various activities that make it fun/relaxing to hang out by the pool. Drinks service also regular and kind waitresses. Location is central to get around Puerto Vallarta. Overall, a good experience.
