Not What You Would Expect
Azul Beach has pros and cons. Cons far outweigh the pros. Pros: Beach and water are amazing. One of the nicest beaches I have been too. Really nice sand and crystal clear water. Family loft suites are very nice and perfect for family. The room choice is the reason I went to Azul. There was a lot of mold on the ceiling of the patio. Food is good, but limited in choices (see cons) Cons: We first checked into the 2 bedroom family suite. It was not good. No storage in primary room for either luggage and cloths. Living room did not have enough furniture for my family of 4 to sit in. We had to bring in outdoor furniture. Mini bar was not good. Bathroom had mold on in the tub. Resort advertises 9 restaurants. That is not true. There are technically 6. 2 were closed the whole time we were there. (8 days) The lobby coffee shop was out of most of the items the whole time I was there. Lunch you had the choice of buffet or 2 grills. The grills took around 45 min to get food (I was first in line when it opened). Website and App state that Garfield was open daily for lunch. It was never open. Palms was also closed. Dinner had 2 restaurants open. The buffet and 1 theme restaurant. The buffet usually had the same food as the Jamaican restaurant when it was open so no real choice. The theme restaurant had an 1.5 hour wait 10 min after opening. A couple of nights only the buffet was open. The resort ran out of towels by 930-10 am every day for their general guest. If you are a member of the "Prestige Club" they had towels, but would not give them to the general guest. The ceiling on the This is not a bad resort. It is just very poorly run and needs to be refreshed badly. Many of the staff were outstanding and agreed with my complaints. I would think twice before I booked this property. Better resorts 5 min away for the same money.

Need more local food so we don't have to go on the outside to enjoy the real Jamaican food
The only disappointment I have is that this resort doesn't have much of the local food. It forces you to go out on the road.

PLEASE READ THIS AND DONT IGNORE THIS IS ALL FACT ARRIVED ON 18th JUNE
I would not recommend this place as it was so run down. We were given an upgrade they said but the room was a disgrace on the outdated furniture was splattered paint marks (don’t know why these hadn’t been removed) ,,table had a big chunk out of it (could have been fixed), mould marks on the couch and over the lamp shades , wardrobe doors don’t shut properly, fridge door also doesn’t shut properly, on the balcony the chairs were burst, the day bed was mouldy and the straps were broken also the clothes dryer was hanging off the wall. We asked for a room change was advised would happen next day at 1pm, the next day we spoke to them and said they would be in touch either thru the app or a call to the room but never happened we decided to go to reception at 3pm but a person on reception said it was never agreed a room change but it had been and were backtracking. We advised that is not the case and want something sorted within next half hour. We did eventually get one and they advised this was the older block but room was of a better standard and agreed to it. There is only the buffet and 1 ala carte open each evening and sometimes it could be 1.5 hours to get a table at the ala carte as they don’t take bookings, the buffet is poor in the evening and not much better at lunchtime breakfast was okay. One day we were in at lunchtime and the evening and it was the same food!! At lunchtime there was food out at the beach but was supposed to be from 12.30 till 3pm but we had gone along about 1.15pm all the food had gone and they didn’t restock it!!, some places were not open at all. In some of the restaurants they didn’t have what was on the menu but didn’t have a replacement and as the menus were limited then didn’t really have a choice. Hotel also blocks trip advisor so cannot post anything whilst there. Some staff were surly and not interested. Calmore the bellboy was exceptional. We had no Tui rep there when we arrived on the Wednesday afternoon no one was there until Sunday and that was his last day so wasn’t interested in our complaint but a new rep would be there on the Monday, we were not alone in complaining there were other holidaymakers saying the same thing and not happy, we eventually managed to get moved to a different hotel so managed to enjoy the rest of our holiday. It’s not just British that are complaining we had spoken to various Americans who were complaining about the same things.

Azul Beach Resort Negril – A 60th to Remember!
We just returned from the most incredible family vacation at Azul Beach Resort Negril, celebrating our mum’s 60th birthday — and we truly had the best time! The resort was absolutely beautiful, with stunning pools and the unbeatable perk of being able to jump straight into the ocean just steps from our room. Everything felt serene and luxurious, yet warm and welcoming. A huge shoutout to the amazing staff who made our stay unforgettable: Marion in the restaurant was so kind and attentive. Jehboy (sorry forgot the spelling) the bartender kept the good vibes flowing with his great energy and good convo of the best excursions to checkout. And Mr. Beats from the entertainment team made our final evening(Karaoke night) one to remember — his charisma, dancing, and overall presence brought the perfect end to a perfect trip. We saw him when we were leaving he took time to say goodbye to the older Aunties in the group which they really liked. We really enjoyed the food — especially the meals at Mahogany and the tasty jerk pork and chicken with pasta salad at Ocean Grill. The entire resort felt very safe, with a great atmosphere and friendly fellow guests. It was so easy to relax, connect, and enjoy every moment. We had children aged 8, 6, and 5 in our group, and Azul really caters well to families. There were plenty of kid-friendly games and activities right on the beach, plus a Kids Club - Azulitios for those who want a bit more structure. Our little ones didn’t end up joining the club — they were too busy swimming and snacking all day! 😄 But it’s great to know the option is there for families who want it. And honestly — the biggest compliment? Some of our family were already talking about booking again for next year before we even left the airport. That says it all, really.

As beautiful as pictures of Azul are, the resorts amenities were truly lacking.
This was a trip planned with 20+ plus people so it's disappointing to write a review like this. The room itself was nice and comfortable. But we had to ask for towels and when we received them they were dingy. Our mini refrigerator did not seem to be cold enough so called down to the front desk to ask for some ice. They told us to take our bucket down to the bar to get some ice but we had NO ICE BUCKET, not to mention that we were annoyed by their response. An ice bucket was brought to us about an hour later but was promptly removed the next day when our room was cleaned. Restaurants/bars were lacking as well. The Palms restaurant and Oceans bar close to the entrance seemed to be closed permanently. Hua Hin's air conditioner was broken/not working - it was hotter inside the restaurant than outside. Mahogany buffet's menu rarely varied and got to be monotonous after 5 days. We experience the annoyance of flies, mosquitos and bees everywhere. They ran out of beach towels everyday. Food stations frequently ran out of condiments and food including chicken, ketchup, syrup and other things. There Azul App does not work. We attempted to order room service but the order was never filled and also called down to the front desk several times and no one answered. We were told by some other people that 5 years ago Azul was a very nice resort but the service has taken a nose dive. I know you can't always blame the service workers because they can only offer/help you with the items/information that is provided to them. But until 'Azul Beach Resort Negril, by Karisma' gets it's act together, I would not recommend it to anyone.
