May 13, 2025Cap Juluca and a few other places
We just came home from our 3rd trip to Anguilla and our 2nd to Cap Juluca. Our first visit was 20 years ago for our honeymoon. We stayed at what was then Cuisinart and is now Aurora. Aurora has since added a golf course and water park, so we didn't think that suited our romantic getaway vision. That said, we did stop by during this last visit for their lobster buffet. The resort is still as beautiful as we remembered. The buffet was delicious. The last 2 visits we made to Anguilla were spent at Cap Juluca. All of the locals we spoke with said it is the best beach on the island. We like to joke that they must paint the water because it is the most magnificent blue. The villas are spacious and lovely. Plenty of closet and counter space. There is a large table in the room as well as a sofa and coffee table. Housekeeping does a wonderful job straightening up the room while we are out for the day and with turn down service. They even left us a gift - last time it was baseball caps and t-shirts from our favorite bar (Banky Banks); this time it was a candle and infused salts. Our room had a walk out to the beach which I really liked. There was a plush Frette robe in the room - however it was a size Small and barely closed around me (they also gave us both robes that were too small at the spa). Next time I will need to remember to ask in advance for a larger size robe. We didn't go to the spa during this last stay except to pick out some perfumes. The food is superb. We ate at all of the on-property restaurants except the Cap Shack. The breakfast buffet has a very wide selection of sweet and savory choices. We ended each evening off at the Uchu bar and sat under the stars listening to live music. You honestly can't go wrong with food anywhere in Anguilla. We have eaten at Tasty's, Ocean Echo, Blanchard's, and Sharkey's. Every restaurant on property or off premise is amazing. Lobster and crayfish is plentiful (crayfish are the size of lobster but sweeter). Favorite things about Cap Juluca...riding bikes from our villa to breakfast, fishing off the reef early in the morning, an amazing homemade chocolate bar, the food, the gorgeous water, and the staff. Every single person at Cap Juluca is so kind and genuinely caring about you and your stay. As luxurious as it is there, everyone makes you feel comfortable. In the spa and the gift shop there is no air of "if you have to look you can't afford it". They just want you to love their island home as much as they do. Also, between all of our stays, we have been to Scilly Cay, Sandy Island, Prickly Pear Island and rented a Moke to drive around. Each was as enjoyable as the next. If I had to pick just one, I would go for Scilly Cay for the food. ...and Banky Banks for live music!

Incredible couples get away
Everything about this resort is 5 star. Highly recommend for a couples get away. The most pristine and beautiful beaches. Very quiet and relaxing. Incredible food and service. The spa is a must!!

Cap Juluca has the most beautiful water I have ever seen! the resort is beautiful - the food is great - the staff is great - if you are loooking for a place just to relax in a gorgeous setting, this is the place for you!

The manager made us feel very special and we had the best time
My friend and I recently stayed for 3 nights at Cap Juluca. There were problems with our room, and had to move rooms twice which was very disappointing. The manager (Eleonor) saw our disappointment and said she would make our trip better. She really did make it better! From pampering us with spa to horse riding, we had the BEST time! A special thank you to her! There is just one thing that could have made it better - the butler service. The website, and the pamphlet that was given to us when we arrived, adverse for 24 hour butler service. However, our butler only worked 8 hours a day. During our stay, he also had one day off and we were placed with another butler who only worked 7 hours a day. When we asked the receptionist the reason for not providing 24 hour butler service, her only response was that "you can call the receptionist if you need something". Well... true, but you should not advertise 24 hour butler then! A lot of us prefer texting instead of calling every time we need something. The website also said "Bath amenities by L'Occitane en Provence", which is also not true. However this doesn't bother us.
