Jun 12, 2025A Magical Week at Zoëtry Marigot Bay – A True Slice of Paradise
We had an absolutely amazing week staying in the 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom penthouse suite at Zoëtry Marigot Bay in St. Lucia. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family and felt genuinely cared for every step of the way. Upon arrival, we were greeted with cool lemongrass towels and refreshing rum punch, which was the perfect way to begin our stay. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and accommodating. When one of our bags was left behind at the airport, they took care of everything and had it delivered to the resort within two hours. Exceptional service! Our accommodations were beautiful, and the view of the bay from our suite was breathtaking. The air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping every room cool and comfortable, which was such a relief after time spent in the sun. The refrigerators were consistently stocked with water, soft drinks, and champagne throughout the day, which was a thoughtful and appreciated touch. A special thank you to our wonderful housekeeper, Yolande. She was so sweet and welcoming, even leaving us handwritten notes and St. Lucia magnets when we arrived. It was such a heartfelt gesture. The food at every meal was delicious, fresh, and made to order. The restaurant staff and bartenders were delightful and always greeted us with a smile. Special shout-outs to Renata, Hilda, Tasha, Kazia, Alison, Sholar, Lawrence, and Chef Michael. We thoroughly enjoyed every interaction. We also utilized the boat transfer service from the resort to the beach, which was incredibly convenient. We never really had to wait, and it made beach access easy and enjoyable. Shem, the boat operator, was friendly and personable. We always had great conversation during the short rides, and his easygoing nature made each trip a pleasure. We also want to recognize Dela and Ella, who greeted us each day with kind conversation, big smiles, and a wave. Their cheerful energy made our days brighter. And now for the absolute stars of our stay — our incredible butler team: Erika, Gimel, and Rochel. We cannot say enough about how exceptional they were. From the moment we arrived until our departure, they went above and beyond to anticipate our needs, offer thoughtful suggestions, and make sure every detail of our trip was taken care of. Whether arranging transportation, making reservations, checking in on our comfort, or surprising us with personal touches, they handled everything with grace, professionalism, and warmth. We felt supported, seen, and truly spoiled. They weren’t just staff, they felt like friends who genuinely cared. Erika, Gimel, and Rochel were the heart of our experience. They made our time at Zoëtry not just special, but unforgettable. The beauty of the resort and the stunning views will stay with us, but what made our stay at Zoëtry Marigot Bay so meaningful was the incredible team who made us feel completely at home. We can’t wait to return!

This resort was a complete disaster from start to finish. The cleanliness of the resort was appalling. Flies swarmed the food, and the breakfast buffet was especially bad with cold eggs, greasy old meat, empty juice containers, and a general sense of neglect. We have photos to prove it, see below. At the pool bar, we waited over an hour for food, only to be treated rudely by the staff. Shockingly, some staff were eating while preparing guest meals—completely unhygienic and unacceptable. There were never any towels available at the pool, and to make matters worse, the pool bar often closed earlier than advertised. The entire Hurricane Hole restaurant reeked of sewage throughout our stay, which ruined what was otherwise one of the few decent food experiences on the property. The fitness center was another letdown. Broken machines, no ventilation, and extreme humidity made it feel like hot yoga just to use a treadmill. We were also told by locals that there have been issues with staff embezzlement, which sadly aligns with the inflated prices and subpar experience. To say this place is poorly managed would be an understatement. The service was not just slow but often rude and dismissive. For what is marketed as a luxury resort, the experience was anything but. I deeply regret choosing this hotel for our honeymoon, especially when there are so many truly exceptional resorts elsewhere on the island. If you're considering Zoëtry St. Lucia, don’t. I’ve never been more disappointed in a travel experience.

the food was subpar, the only thing we enjoyed were the burgers & the steak from hurricane hole.. The bartenders at the main pool were wonderful & so so helpful especially johnathan.. Sean the butler was a gem as well. we had a good day despite the food being a let down.
