Great Family Trip
I took my college age daughter and her friend the first week of March. I generally don’t stay at all inclusives and usually stay at higher end hotels (Ritz, etc) but wanted to try something different. I was surprisingly impressed with Zoetry. We stayed in the ocean front suites which were great, especially for the reasonable pricing. I would recommend this for families, especially where you want to let your teenagers do what they want and you to relax. It was very quiet and enjoyable. The beach is great. My concierge was fantastic.
Awsome Staff - Beautifu Property - good food
Let me start with the Amstar transportation. We reserved a private transfer to and from the airport to the resort. The folks at the airport and both drivers were very helpful, friendly and professional. I highly recommend utilizing their service. We had our own vehicle not having to stop at multiple resorts. The resort is beautiful. We were greeted with a drink and cool wash cloth. We are UVC members, so we were quickly escorted to a private UVC desk and quickly checked in. Our room wasn't ready, so we were given a tour of the property and directed to the Indego restaurant. Lunch was fantastic, I had the grouper. Our room was ready before we finished lunch and our luggage delivered within minutes of reaching our room. We reserved a swim-out room. Our room had plenty of space, an extremely comfortable king bed, awesome air conditioning and a nice sized patio with table and chairs. Our patio was very private although a bit buggy. The patio had direct pool access. The pools throughout the property are very nice, but were on the cool side while we were there. The restaurants are all tasty. The food and menu selections were all good. Keep in mind that they will modify anything for you. Our favorite was the Italian restaurant. I enjoyed the Veal and Beef dishes. The chocolate dessert is a must have! Don't forget room service. We had an awesome dinner on our patio one rainy evening. The staff really make this place special. Everyone is extremely friendly from the gardeners to management. I want to thank everyone for making our trip so memorable. The folks below are some of the staff that helped make that happen. Enrique was our butler. He checked on us daily even sending an anniversary cake to our room and having a hot bath waiting for us one evening after dinner. Stephanie was our UVC representative. She was a wealth of information and fun to speak with. Jendiler Abreu worked at the restaurants. He enlightened me to some tasty Dominican Rum and kept my glass full. Maria a. De la Cruz is the hostess at some of the restaurants. She was always a delight directing us to a table of our choice. She remembered our room number from day one. Feliciano Alvarez treated the folks by the pool bar to sushi daily. I wish I had met him day one. Carlos Tesada was our swimup bar bartender. He too kept our drinks full. Rosa took good care of us by the pool bar as well. She would deliver drinks when I was too lazy to walk to the bar. Finally, Estefan is a server at a few of the restaurants who took care of us many times. She always had a smile and was fun to chat with. There are so many more folks that made this trip special, but I think you get the idea. The staff makes this place. Lastly, we were there as the COVID-19 virus was ramping up. The staff were well aware of the situation but continued to take great care of the guests. I want to personally thank everyone for keeping us safe and comfortable. I hope everyone is safe and healthy.
Nice people make a trip special
We were so fortunate to have the great staff at Zoetry Agua around us during a week of mostly rain. It was unusually wet for the region. But room service, restaurant service and overall friendliness made our trip special nonetheless. Beautiful, well maintained property even in the high winds we experienced. We recommend Zoetry Agua for a calm, relaxing and lovely experience.
Zoetry Punta Cana
This was our first time staying at a Zoetry. Our opinion of the resort is probably tempered by the unseasonable weather that we experienced while we were there. The resort was pretty, quiet and small (which we liked). Everything was in good repair. The staff was amazing, especially our concierge, Wiris, who seemed to be on call 24/7. He was always eager to please. We enjoyed the lobby bartender Juan Carlos, who would sing pop songs while serving customers. It was a great place to relax. The beach was absolutely beautiful, with hardly any other resorts around. However, we felt like the premium which we paid for a Zoetry was not warranted. We usually go to Secrets resorts and we find that they are generally fantastic. The Zoetry had nothing obvious that placed it above a Secrets. In fact, we found the Secrets Akumal in particular to be more desirable in pretty much every way. At least now we can say that we tried a Zoetry.
Epitome of Relaxation
We had a five day getaway for my birthday. We splurged this trip and stayed in an Ocean Front Deluxe King Suite. Our room was huge. We had a walk in closet, two sinks and a spacious shower and tub. Our patio and plunge pool was nice and pretty private. Super soft sand but the ocean was rocky a few feet in. Service was excellent. This is probably the healthiest I have eaten at any AM Resort. There were not many gluten free options but what was available was delicious! The four restaurant options were the most of any Zoetry we’ve stayed. The UVC reps were so nice and kind. They have two main pools both of which are small - having only ten chairs per pool. Seating was only an issue one day. The gym was fully equipped. Spa looked nice as well but it was so expensive I didn’t book any treatments this time. If you are looking for a place with great food, service, and complete relaxation - Zoetry Agua is it!
