Not a 5 star hotel!
While this place is beautiful, what they advertise on the site is totally fake. They DO NOT offer a kids club and this is the reason we chose this hotel. The SPA AREA, even though it is not mentioned that costs extra - you have to pay. I knew massages and treatments are for extra, but not the indoor space, especially in the winter season. So, no kids club, no indoor spa, and be aware that they do not put more products in your room, they have not supply our coffee or our body lotion. For sure, it is not a 5 star hotel. No compensation offer for anything, like a normal 3 star hotels would do.

Bittersweet
My wife, daughter, son in law and I had a great time, a special thanks to Moll and Kina at the pool bar you are your best bartenders. All the restaurants associates always greeted us with a smile thanks .Also the two female bartender at the hotel bar was good after the pool bar closed thank you as well. The only thing I had a problem with is the young lady that gave me the wrong room at check- in and told me to come back for my all inclusive bracelets which my son in law and daughter was already wearing from the there check in from the guy to right. I had to come back from the 9th floor to talked to the nice guy on the right who quickly took care of the room / bracelets issue that was in the drawer thanks to you as well. Missing Playa Bonita already until next my friends .

Good Stay for an all-inclusive resort experience
I was trying to decide whether to give the hotel a 4 or 5 rating. It is not typically the type of hotel I would stay at (hence the 4) but I do think it does the all-inclusive resort thing well (hence the 5). We had to make last minute travel changes, so we were happy to get the rooms at the Westin. I think it does lack the elegance one might expect from a Westin - I kept telling my friends that I felt like I was on a cruise ship, but on land. They had a sports bar with a pool table, a bar with a live singer one night, karaoke everynight, kids arts and crafts during the day. They even had a bouncy house over the weekend. If you like the cruise ship experience, then perhaps this is the place for you. I did think the service and the rooms were typical for a Westin - they had the Heavenly Beds and I slept great! We got a beachview room which I think was very much worth it - I loved hearing the ocean at night. Other details - Food: We did the morning breakfast which was typical to most breakfast buffets. They had a juice station and an omelet station which I liked. We did not do the all-inclusive option and while some reviews have knocked the non-all inclusive restaurants, I enjoyed the steak restaurant Tierra y Fuego and the asian style restaurant Asiana. My friend loved the ceviche at Starfish Grill. Not all of the restaurants are open everyday, so you may need to plan your dinners accordingly if you want to rotate through the restaurants. Pool/beach: I liked the pools (included a pic from our room)! It was quite crowded on the weekend, but thinned out during the week. The swim up bar was nice. I wouldn't have minded an adults only or "quiet" pool. I did not go swimming off the beach myself, but I did enjoy walking along the beach, especially when the tide went out. Spa: They have a hydrospa circuit with three jacuzzis, a sauna, a steamroom and a cold plunge. I had a swedish massage/reflexology/facial with Erica who was a great masseuse. I fell asleep during the reflexology which I think was a good sign!

A decent hotel but with consistently disappointing restaurants
I found the hotel to be, for the most part, pleasant, clean, comfortable and friendly. When I checked in the clerk made no attempt to allocate to me the type of room that I had reserved and put me in a room with 2 double beds instead of the king that I had reserved. However, once I went back down to the desk and pointed out their error I was re-assigned to an appropriate room. Several of my colleagues had similar experiences. That said, the rooms were a good size and the bedding was very nice. The major disappointment with this hotel is the restaurants! They have several and they are all terrible......and we did try them all. The best of the bunch is Pacifico and that it because it is a buffet, so you do not have to rely on the service. The food in this restaurant is passable but not great. As for the other restaurants, the service is pleasant and friendly.........but the speed of all service aspects is glacial.......and when the food eventually arrives it simply was not worth the wait. If you order a ribeye steak or a New York strip the meat is no more than 1/2 an inch thick (and no, I am not exaggerating). Other dishes were similarly and consistently disappointing. The rooms occupied by these restaurants are perfectly pleasant. So, if this hotel had a MAJOR re-think about its catering and just as importantly have faster, more efficient and better trained service staff, I would be giving it a much better review.

Nice hotel but bad food and underequipped gym
The hotel fine and the staff are attentive for the most part. The rooms are spacious and bathroom facilities are good. However the food in the a la carte restaurants (Asian especially) was really bad. The wine list was terrible, they had no white wines and one rosé (Barefoot) which is about 7 euro in my local shop and pretty awful. The buffet is fine, breakfast is good there. The pool and conference facilities are good. The gym is very poorly equipped and the A/C is not strong enough for a gym. Virtually no free-weights and about 40kg in barbell weights. Two out of the three treadmills do not work and the third does not work well. Two gym mats in the whole place. It would be very easy to charge a little more and improve the food and gym facilities.
