Pros: beautiful and large rooms. Great wifi, shower, beds, pillows. And quiet which was nice. View was amazing. We enjoyed all the restaurants, and prices were reasonable. I really liked that there were water stations everywhere. Great staff, very helpful and nice. Cons: this should be five star review, but they missed operationally. Arrives at noon, and couldn't check in until 3pm for either room we booked. I'm platinum elite and requested early checkin months ago. That's not acceptable. No upgrade either which was a bummer. Fire alarm went off while we were about to be served dinner, and it lasted ten minutes. Caused by burning food in the kitchen. Crying fit by my toddler was not enjoyable.

Everything about our stay was excellent, the facilities, cleanliness, service, food, and overall atmosphere. The hotel is beautiful, modern, surrounded by nature, and located on a stunning beach. It’s the perfect place to relax and disconnect. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and offer amazing views. The pools, restaurants, and common areas are very well maintained, with a relaxed but elegant vibe throughout the resort. The location is ideal for enjoying the resort while also exploring the area. We booked our airport–hotel and hotel–airport transfers in advance with nexttripcr.com and it was a great decision: fair prices, punctual service, and very professional organization. We also booked activities with them, including a Jet Ski tour and a visit to Rincón de la Vieja Volcano, where we did a great hike, saw volcanic activity, wildlife, and beautiful landscapes. It was an unforgettable experience and very well organized. Staying at the W and organizing our transportation and tours through nexttripcr.com made the trip complete. We would absolutely return and highly recommend both the resort and nexttripcr.com.

Wonderful vacation in Costa Rica
We spent 10 awesome days at the W Costa Rica. The staff makes you feel incredibly welcome and they are always available to meet your needs. We enjoyed getting to know many of the wait staff at the morning buffet. The hostesses, Maria Jose and Daniela were exceptional. They quickly learned where we preferred to sit and how we enjoyed our coffee. Although it was a huge buffet, they were always around to fill our additional requests. The servers Lucianne, Adrian, Lizzy and Alejandro were top notch. During a sail / snorkel trip we shared our delight in where were staying, and two travelers came over for dinner, and proceeded to change their reservation for the remainder of their vacation. The staff's English was amazing, and they shared many of the local Hispanic sayings with us. I even discovered Duolingo, which I'm now using to improve my Spanish as well. We stayed on the 1st floor of the 1st building and found it to be great. Daily housekeeping is part of your stay.

A+ Resort, Highly Recommended
Ignore the negative ninnies! This place is AMAZING! We stayed 10 days and never left the gorgeous property. Ample and varied restaurants and venues. Beautiful beach. Tremendous service. We did the all-inclusive which was well worth it since you can have anything 24/7! Room service, poolside, beach, restaurants, etc, whatever you want to eat or drink. Perhaps a slower tempo than Dallas-based service but it’s Costa Rica and we were always well provided. Special shout out to MARIA ROSE who made our trip extra special at several restaurants. She’s a real asset to the entire A-Team at the W. We’ve stayed at The Springs Resort & Spa in La Fortuna, and this place is equal or better, with beautiful views all around. Enjoyed the wildlife as well (although the iguanas scared my wife!). Book here and be happy.

Fabulous Property and Wonderful People!
We were impressed with the W staff from the moment we arrived. Our check in was done while we sat comfortably in the lobby enjoying a complimentary refreshment. Every employee we encountered on the property was kind, considerate and always went out of their way to say hello and make us feel welcome. Paul, Mainor and Yuli were our exercise enthusiasts, leading us through free classes each day. They were incredible to interact with. Daniela and Maria were the best hostesses we’ve encountered. Their smiles were contagious and we enjoyed seeing them throughout each of our days. Maria went out of her way to help us with offsite reservations and always followed up to see how our night went. The breakfast crew were also attentive and friendly, including Geiny, Lucianne, Lizzy, Katherine, Jason, Alejandro, Adrian, Gerardo and Alejandro. We enjoyed the beach and the pool which are just beautiful. The wildlife on the property, including iguanas, Howler monkeys daily and so many bird species made our trip complete. We would definitely return to the W. We will miss all the wonderful people we met.
