  Entertainment for the win

  The entertainment team is the best thing about the hotel. Super entertaining, great dancing, energy, such good vibes. The service at the buffet as well. The jacuzzi was great, the water was cold which I love. And the discoteca was the best I ever been at, shout out to DJ Fernandez, The Best Nutella, Coco, Lava Girl and La Baby. The food could improve.

  Best time ever!

  The hotel is awesome, i spent the best time here! All the people are so friendly and the bartenders are so good and funny like Elizabeth and Rose. The animation was the best thing, we felt so comfortable and we enjoyed all the games and the shows in particular because of La Baby, Franziska, The best Nutella and Sombra. Our kids were so happy in the mini club, they love Lava girl. Of course we are coming back soon!

  WORST resort ever.

  This place, Viva Tangerine by Wyndham in D.R. is for people who don’t care much about anything. For me I like to be safe and have a clean place to stay. This place was way far from CLEAN or Safe. We can here for a family reunion. There were around 30 of us staying at this resort. When we did our reservation back in January 2025, we were told that we were all going to be places together in a section of the resort so that we can all be close to each other. We also informed them that we needed some of the room on the first floor since we had handicap and older people that could not do stairs. That was not the case. When we checked-in to the resort we found out that we were scattered all over the resort. And the people that could not do stairs were place on a 3rd floor with no elevator. I was placed on a second floor with no elevator, and I was not going to accept that since I walk with a knee brace and a cane. The front desk was not too happy about that. They were very rude and kept on saying that they didn’t have any rooms available to give me. I stayed in the lobby until they found a room on the 1st floor for me to stay in. They finally gave me a room 2 hrs. after check in time. When I got to my room it was filthy. It seems that they just gave me any room to get me out of the lobby. I saw some cleaning staff in the area and told them if they could please come to my room and clean my bathroom since it was filthy. They said, ok. After waiting forever for them to come and clean my bathroom I took it upon myself to clean it. The shower glass door never saw glass cleaner. There was so much soap scum on that glass door that it was difficult to clean. The shower faucet also had soap scum all over it. The shower drain was full of hair. The toilet had dried piss around the toilet seat lid hinges. The buttons where you flush the toilet had green stuff on it. The sink faucet was also dirty, and the bathroom mirror had water spots on it. The drinking glass that was left in the bathroom was also dirty and had spots on it. The mini fridge did not work to good. Nothing was ever cold to drink. The TV did not work at all. I had a maintenance personnel member come and take a look at it, but he couldn’t find out why it wasn’t working. So yeah, no T.V. or Fridge for 6 days. After my first shower I noticed that the bathroom floor looked like a pool. The water was running into the hallway outside the bathroom. Well, the shower glass door was not closing correctly and there was a pretty big gap between the door and the frame. So now we had to put pool towels on the floor before taking a shower and switching them out after every shower. The sliding glass door that went to the balcony did not close correctly so they screwed a sliding latch to it so that we can close it. Looking under the beds revealed like it hasn’t been swept in a while. You would also find roaches walking around your room. Forget about calling guest services. They ever answer it. The food was mediocre and lacked flavor. None of the food was covered and the flies were eating more than the guests. It was more of a Fly Buffet. I always ordered fresh omelets since it was cooked in front of me. It was very unsanitary and unsafe to eat at this place. The daily activities were the same every day. Dart and Bocce tournament and bingo. The bar was also a nightmare. They only had 1 bar for whole resort. Most of the time they would have only 1 or 2 people working the bar. The line to get a drink was so long that it was worst then waiting in line at an amusement park. Sometimes you would have to wait over 45 minuets to get a drink. I even got a plastic cup that was all crack. A fruit plate was left in my room. I guess the front desk sent it. But the banana was rotten at one end and there were fruit flies under the plastic. We were able to swim at the beach once in the 6 days that we were at the resort. The waves and current were too strong to go swimming. Unfortunately, my daughter and her family left the resort and came back to the states after 3 days. She couldn’t take it anymore. No one ever came to clean her bathroom. So, they were using my bathroom since I cleaned it myself. Her bed sheets were stained and the T.V. not working. But what did it for her was the roaches making themselves at home in her room. They were sleeping with the lights on for 3 days. They had to eat the remaining day because they did not refund them for the day that were not going to be at the resort. The Taxi service at this resort was a Highway ROBBERY. Wyndham, you must send someone to this resort and look into the condition of this resort. This was unacceptable.

  Totally a disaster

  It’s very simple no sense of people treated the service was awful room was not as described problem with the AC in the room last night I called the lobby complaining for the absence of the AC service and they said that they will send someone to fix it and when I called back because nobody came the phone didn’t work again water in the room was come and go was a total disaster I’ve been on resort here and this is the worse I’ve ever been on but there is only one positive thing here and is this girl service her name is Patricia she was very attentive but I hope you guys pay attention to this review because it will not make a difference unless you guys do something about it

  Dj Fernandez Music

  Dj Fernandez was very friendly and played good music for me and my family. Overall one on the best experience. The bar was very helpful and it’s very quick and efficient
