Last Minute TUI UK Holiday
This was a last minute TUI All inclusive holiday that cost cheaper than going to Spain. Starting with the Flight on the Dreamliner, the food and entertainment was excellent, have to admit thought it was better than Virgin who we fly frequently. The Hotel was excellent and the three a la carte restaurants best All inclusive experience to date. No requirement to book just walk straight in with no queuing probably was lucky as I don't believe the hotel during mid June was at full capacity. Special mention to all the staff at the restaurants attention to detail was excellent. Bamboo and italian were the winners, sushi and the fillet steaks top notch. Best staff award goes to Ivan and Edgar Well done guys top service and made it special. The highlight has to be Cafe Jaguar, honestly better than starbucks / costa coffee and its free. Serving up moka/frappes, smoothies, best coffee and cakes are something else (Chessecake was the winner). This place was great for midday snacks and finishing off after long day at the pool (Don't take beach towels all provided free everyday inc sunbeds on the beach). Ok, the only negative I have is the main bar is open plan meaning no air con. If I was the management I would look at glazing this area like the Cafe Jaguar and have it Air conditioned. They always say the last minute holidays are the best, if you get this holiday between 600-800 week per person All inclusive you have got yourself a great holiday. Finally make sure you visit Fifth Avenue, great experience bar/dining. Yes you will get traders wanting you to come into their shop however no one grabs you and the area is totally safe. Well done Playacar, Loved it.

Cat bite!
Beware of the stray cats in the buffet. I had an unfortunate incident where I stood up from my chair and accidentally stepped on a stray cat that hangs out at the buffet. I was bitten, twice. I had to go to the urgent care to get a rabies vaccine (which needs to continue for another 3 courses when I return home) and 7 days on antibiotics. Dealing with medical people (very nice staff) was stressful to begin, but the réponse of the hotel staff is nonchalant to say the least. I was even told that I need to be careful as the cats are wild animals and that the hotel has no responsibility for them. There are no signs or warning, and while I understand these cats pose no threats in normal circumstances, accidents can happen. Being victim blamed was uncalled for. So, I’m here for 2 more days, unable to go in the sun, nor swim for fear of infection. I’ve paid for 7 days, but will only really get 5 days. Plus the inconvenience of taking a cab to and from the urgent care, hassle to deal with travel insurance…oh, and risk of infection that puts my health in danger. I don’t recommend this hotel, not because of the incident with the cat, but because of the uncaring nonchalance of the staff. They Guest Services wouldn’t even let me speak to a supervisor/manager. The rest of the hotel was fine. Food was ok and plentiful, rooms and facilities clean. The staff working at the restaurants/buffet were nice and greeted you. Mauricio at the concierge desk was helpful for excursion planing. I would not stay here and would not recommend it, because if anything happened to you on their property, it’s your fault.

Viva Azteca is a must.
Azteca was wonderful. The only complaint would be the rooms did not get cold. They only got cool (76 degrees). The Bamboo restaurant was good; service by Manuel and Juan was top notch. Nicolas at the SnackBar was also amazing. There was excessive sea weed so we were not able to get in the ocean. However the views were delightful.

Over the moon service.
Completely in love with this place. All amenities are wonderful and the activities and meal options are all on point. Room was cozy, clean and very accessible. We had a wonderful guided tour by Carlos Roberto Medel who assured we know our way around. Overall the entire staff was very friendly too and received us with a smile always.

Great Trip
Went for my friends wedding and it was sooo fun! From the food and service, everything was spectacular. Dayreth and the entertainment staff were all so fun to hang with, she did a great job keeping things fun for everyone. All in all, I’d recommend this resort if you’re a couple or family looking for a fun relaxing time.
