Extremely Bad Customer Service and Management Team
I initially contacted this resort via WhatsApp and spoke with a guy named Victor for several hours. I am a time share owner at Villa del Palmar but had some questions I needed answered. Some of these basic questions included: is the resort open, are all of the restaurants open, and what are your room rates. The only thing that Victor could tell me was that the resort was open but not all of the restaurants were open. He advised that I contact email@example.com and that they could provide me with more information and accurate room rates. So a few days later I get an email from a guy named Javier who tells me he can't provide me with any of the information I asked for. And he doesn't tell me who to contact and is not helpful at all. A few emails later I ask him about the occupancy rate, at which point he tells me the resort is not open. I explained to him that I had been informed by Victor that the resort was officially open. I then asked to speak to the general manager and have yet to here back from Javier or the GM. I've traveled all over the world, stayed at more resorts than I can remember, and have never dealt with this kind of incompetence. If your customer service reps don't know if one of their resorts is open, you have a problem.
Our family came down right before things officially opened up during the coronavirus pandemic. We were supposed to stay here but because the government postponed its opening for tourism, we ended up next-door at Villa La Estancia. Sarah Chayba, the Flamingos manager, was like our personal manager. She was great! She checked on us multiple times a day to make sure we had everything we needed. When we asked for a few things, she was able to get them for us including a boogie board for my kids to use. She felt badly that the activities were still closed and went out of her way to make sure we were all having a good time. Thank you, Sarah, we can’t wait to return again soon!
Love our home away from home
My husband and I have been coming here annually for about 9 years now. We absolutely love it, and it's very difficult to want to try a different place when we have such an enjoyable time here. A lot of the staff have remained the same and we know them by name. They have watched our 2 boys grow up. They go above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. George and Oscar are always taking care of us poolside. This last trip, Maru made the kids club so much fun for our boys, and we were able to have a few hours to ourselves playing sand volleyball. THANK YOU to all. Keep up the good work!! We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Flamingos Villa de Palmar
Wonderful vacation resort. Amazing friendly, caring and helpful staff. Enjoyed the activities, bingo, blackjack, Zumba, water aerobics and the nightly shows with delicious meals plus drinks . The performers were very talented. Special thanks to Maura - spa massage best ever, all the activity staff , especially, Jose, Alex, Betty and Cynthia. You 4 worked so hard to make this vacation so enjoyable and feel like family! Thanks to Faby great job keeping room clean and extra personal touches. Sorry I do not remember names of other housekeeping staff who were so welcoming and helpful. Luis, the bellman great service! Nice, clean modern resort with great views of the ocean, beach and pool. Highly recommend Flamingos Villa Del Palmar. Good food. Good drinks. Great fun. Most importantly great people!

We have been here a few times and just love the suites. The resort itself is a great size (not so big) and there are many activities scheduled throughout the day. The gym is also great. This time was a bit different than other times because of the pandemic. We were trying to get ahold of our airline to find out about switching our flight and the concierge, Martha, was amazing in helping us. Oscar was also helpful. The only thing that was a bit disappointing this time was that the suite we had did not have a convection oven like we have had before. It was just a microwave so we could not bake things like we usually did.
