Very disappointing
Tonight is NY eve here and our kids are hungry. We have to order and PAY for 9 pm room service at this all inclusive resort. We dressed up and walked around to the 3 resort dinner places which are part of the all inclusive meal package our family paid up front before we arrived. We were told that there is an extra charge for dinner reservations and there are no seats available anyways as it was all sold out days ago. The manager told us to go back to our room and PAY for room service which will take extra long since they’re busy. Also, no activities tonight except for the dinner shows. We see other guests walking around confused also. It is also disappointing that the excursion activities which also cost extra are limited in availability, and they cannot recommend other activities outside this resort. There are so many other better places to stay.

Awful Vacation
If you want a relaxing vacation this is not the place. Our suite is beautiful but you cannot get a seat at the pool at all. People “claim” their seats at night and the staff allow it. It seems that people pay the staff to save their seats. I was actually told to get off a seat that no one was using , first thing in the morning; no one even at the pool yet. Service is also pretty hit and miss. Beach is nice. The Italian restaurant is excellent, the others are ok. There are better resorts to stay at.

AWESOME RESORT
The resort is hands down one of the best for entertainment. The entire team was amazing and truly made our stay special. Our housekeeper, Rosario, was an absolute joy. She was confident in her skills, friendly, and incredibly helpful—always doing her very best for us. The Elite Pool staff, from the servers Eric and Ruben to the rest of the team, were extremely professional, attentive, and helpful. The concierge team consistently made sure we had everything we needed. The pools were clean, warm, and well maintained. At check-in, Nubia and Alexandria went above and beyond, assisting us with everything we needed—including quickly arranging a handicap chair for me. There are plenty of restaurant options, and the food is delicious. You truly will not regret vacationing here.

SAVE YOUR VACATION!
Where do I begin? Just DON’T. They constantly harass you to become a member and when you finally bite…they treat you like crap. There is a distinct class system here…and guess what? Members are the scum. I can go to their website and book an oceanfront room but at the front desk—if you’re a member they will NOT let you even pay more to see the ocean. And a big shout out to Marco at the front desk for the condescending “f u” smile. That’s the customer service. The food is MID. And you’re trapped because there’s NOTHING around. Forget finding a decent taco or any good Mexican food at this resort….in Mexico. But if you want super expensive Chinese? They got you. And please don’t forget to BRING YOUR OWN STRAW or they have plenty of METAL ones for you to buy in the gift shop because they don’t have straws on property. Imagine our surprise after ordering a round of frozen blended drinks ($15 each) only to find out we had to wait until it MELTED to physically be ABLE to drink it. My kid used a fork for her virgin pina colada. This isn’t the kind of place where staff greets you throughout your stay nor makes you feel like a valued customer. And when I’m spending thousands of dollars on a 6 night stay I expect more. Villa Del Palmar is a joke. SAVE YOUR VACATION pick some place else. There are dozens and dozens of better choices in the Cancun region.
