Perfect Beachfront Getaway with Exceptional Service
Villa Del Palmar is perfectly situated right on the beach, offering a wonderful atmosphere from the moment you arrive. I stayed in a One Bedroom Suite, which was spacious, comfortable, and fully equipped with all the amenities you could need. For the price, I genuinely feel the value exceeded my expectations. The front desk team was fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. A special shout-out to Orlando, who was incredibly pleasant and provided outstanding customer service. Overall, a great experience and a place I would happily return to.

Overall, hotel is beautiful and has plenty of activities if you're an active tourist or you can relax and enjoy the ste
Went here on all inclusive package with a time share presentation requirement. This is a great place to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is excellent. You get all inclusive fridge filled with soda, sparkling water, regular water, and beer. The only thing you have to watch out for is one small garbage can (approximately one foot high and half a foot in diameter) Ended up leaving empty soda and water bottles next to the room door. I suppose they are trying to save the turtles. Each room has a hammock on the balcony for you to relax and enjoy the view. The beach is only a five-minute walk. If you like alcohol, the staff offers you drinks and you can always hit one of the many bars if you're thirsty! If you are a sports fan, you can catch a game in the bar as they always have one on. There is a glamorous pool to swim in or a hot tub to soak in if salt water is not your thing. If you do want to enjoy the gulf, they offer snorkeling trips and the water is amazing. They have a daily activity program including volleyball, horseshoes, pool aerobics, and a water park for you to enjoy. Make sure to bring some cash to tip the waiters as they have no buffets and only restaurants. They do like pesos more than US dollars. If you get stuck in a timeshare presentation, enjoy the free breakfast and beverages and just say no over and over again. That's what happened to me. After they learned this was my second timeshare presentation, they pretty much left me alone and the rest of the process was quick. When they take you next door for a presentation review, watch out, because that's where the management is and they will make an offer that's very difficult to refuse. Thankfully, I stuck it out, thanked them for their time and was on my way.

Everything you're looking for family resort.
Just want to give a big shout to Cesar at the Caprichios restaurant, he was always going above and beyond making sure we were well taken care of and so attentive to all our needs. The resort itself was exactly what we were looking for in terms of family oriented resort. It was busy enough that you knew it was a great spot and big enough that you never had to fight over beach chairs. Only gripe for us would be that you use your wristband to get into your door but this new system was not that responsive. Took 10-15 seconds for our suite door to open. Food was great. Atmosphere was great. They run lots of programs during the day to keep you entertained - just the night of you're coming solo or not with a family you may find a little dull. Overall great experience, would definitely return just based on the service and the great staff at every restaurant. P.s. they do have a non mandatory sales presentation you can attend if you're looking for discounts on excursions. Be aware this is high pressure sales presentation.

Rafael is the Man at Villa del Palmar!
Rafael made sure our first time at Villa was great, it was my daughter 18th and he arranged a set up with ballons, desserts, fresh fruit and a bottle of champagne to celebrate, everyone was welcoming throughout the resort and the food was amazing, we consider our self foodies and their steakhouse was top notch also the breakfast buffet with the fresh omelets and fresh chilaquiles, so Good

Worst Experience Ever
Lights were gone on 11/29 at night, and kept going out the next morning. This was a major inconvenience. We couldn't use any appliances in the room and water stream was very low. No communication from the resort whatsoever was received regarding this (why did it go out, when it would return). There are only 4 dining options. For lunch, only the snack bites and Mexican restaurant were open. Everything else was only open for dinner. The buffet was only available one night. We are fully vegetarian. So that leaves 3 options for dinner: Italian, Mexican, sports grill. This is repetitive. There was no entertainment in terms of nightly shows. There's no bakery/cafe. There's a starbucks where you have to pay extra. On the 2nd day, it was raining very heavy and my husband ran to get a table at the snack bar for my family of 6. I went to get my parents from the lobby in the meantime. One of the wait staff told my husband he needs to leave and can't hold up tables. My husband was upset and told him the rest of the family is coming and nobody else is here. We are planning to eat here. My child got a cut and we were on our way out to an excursion. I asked conceirge and front-desk for a band-aid. They said they don't have it and I have to go buy it at the market. This is a basic first aid item that should be available. My husband and I went to ask twice and both times were told no. The friendly bell boy went and asked and immediately they gave him two band-aids. We checked out on 12/1/2025. We made sure to empty out the room by 12 after telling front-desk step and still had our bracelets on. Our shuttle was due to come at 1. We went to grab lunch at the snack bar after emptying the room at 12. We were told we have to pay for the lunch and we paid $91 (overpriced for 2 french fries, 2 pina coladas, fruit plate, nachos, cheese pizza). We should not have had to pay for lunch if we paid for 5 days/4 nights. They took off the bracelets after our lunch. Overall, I was not happy with the lack of service, rudeness of some of the staff, no electricity, minimal vegetarian dining options, charging for lunch on check out date, no first-aid/band-aid and even toothpaste, and no entertainment. I wouldn't return or recommend this resort again. This is why I didn't sign up for the package even as an investment. All of these concerns were expressed to the front desk manager on duty on 12/1/2025 and he said there's nothing he can do. The general manager will call us. Still waiting for that call. We have stayed at a number of all inclusive resorts in different areas over the years and this was the worst experience. Do yourself a favor and go to Moon Palace. We stayed there in July and it was a much better experience with a lot of restaurants to choose from and a bakery in every lobby. Better pools, and spa was amazing too, and not overpriced like Villa del Palmar.
