Wonderful stay at the villa del palmar
We just returned from our second trip the villa del palmar and it was just as wonderful as we remembered! Beautiful grounds and supreme service! The beach was lovely and the resort did a good job of cleaning up the seaweed as best they can. Pools are well maintained and plenty of chairs and umbrellas available. Rooms have been refreshed and look great. Ours was so spacious and housekeeping was on point. Want to give a special shout out to Edgar at pool service, Kate, Esmeralda and Rosa in the spa, Leticia the concierge and Miguel at the Davino bar. And to our housekeeper, I don’t remember her name but we were in room 2304C. Thank you all for your hospitality and excellent service! Food was delicious, especially at Zama and the steakhouse and Japanese over at the GB. Can’t wait to return again! Thank you VDP!

Great service
Food, room service, all staff and kids club was amazing! Our kids (5 & 6) enjoyed kids club, pools and the food. We would definitely book again. Thank you villa del palmar staff for making us feel special. Trujillo Family

June 2025 visit with family
Beautiful property, very nice staff who want to take good care of guests. The beach is typical Cancun- lots of seaweed and rock. Would love it if the hotel changed to reusable water bottles instead of plastic bottles. Also would benefit from more to do indoors (arcade, bowling, anything) when everyone is too hot and done with the sun. Check in/out, all staff, and restaurants very nice.

Good with a dash of frustration
This location is great for families. Food: The food is fantastic around the pool side and the all inclusive is definitely a benefit with an attractive breakfast bar with several options. Lunch by the pool was timely most days but slower on others, drinks included. Some days they ran slower than they should considering the cost of the all inclusive. The many restaurants on the premises offer an incredible option for high end food options. Considering the fact that is is mostly covered by the all inclusive plan, it was great and fun to rotate. Go online and schedule two weeks before your visit. Staff: Friendly and inviting. Super helpful and work very hard for visitors Timeshare pressure: Minimal. Be firm and they won't bother you after the first discussion. We told them NO and never received a call after that. Currency: We tipped in dollars or billed the tip to our room to pay at the end of the trip in dollars. Easy process. Beach: The beach has seaweed but it did not stop us from swimming. It was minimal and snorkeling was a blast. We found some stingrays and other fish Resort: The resort is super clean all of the time Events: Painting, water volleyball, sand volleyball, water aerobics, tequila tasting Room Service: Excellent and fast Customer Service (buying excursions): Huge fiasco buying excursions from the place connected to the hotel. The guy booked us, took our payment, gave us the tickets, and told us to arrive at 07:00 this morning. We arrived, the bus arrived, and our name was not on the list to go to Xel Ha. So, they left without us. Lots of confusion and affected our whole trip with having to rearrange the excursion for another day which required moving all of the other parts of our trip. They did not express any concern regarding their lack of concern for our hassle. I'd hesitate before using the in-house groups connected to excursions with this hotel. Once they get paid, the rest is history.

30th Anniversary Celebration
We visited Villa Del Palmar for a celebration of our 30th anniversary with our kids and grandkids. We stayed in the 3br suites and had ample room for 5 & 6 people. The staff were amazing and we were pampered every day. Our butlers, Rafael and Arad started making reservations for us a month in advance and were very attentive throughout our stay. Our pool attendant, Angel, set up and reserved lounges for us each day and kept us topped off with water, drinks and food all day. The food in the restaurants was top notch. We were on the all inclusive plan and had lots of options and all were delicious. We also had an in suite dinner with a staff of 4 coming to our suite to cook and serve our dinner on our balcony. Amazing doesn’t come close to describing this experience. The pools were not overly crowded and our grandkids spent most of the day in them. The older ones loved the floating obstacle course set up just off the beach. We arranged for the photo staff to take family photos and Antonio really knew what he was doing. The pictures we received are priceless. We’ve already discussed returning to Villa Del Palmar or one of the other Tafer resorts.
