Nov 16, 2025Nice quiet casual resort with clean rooms, nice pool & beach area, beautiful landscaping. Skip the all inclusive packag
This is a very casual resort at which the expensive "all inclusive" package is not mandatory. My friend and I stayed for 6 days. We fixed simple meals in our room for the first 2 days since there was a microwave and a small refrigerator in the room along with a coffee maker then we bought a dinner at one of the restaurants on property. The dinner prices were very reasonable. The food was well prepared and tasty. Most of our time was spent downtown at the Malecon Boardwalk which was a "must see" during the day and at night since there were many statues celebrating the Day of the Dead. In addition, there is a huge "flea market" across the river with many, many booths of vendors selling their wares and art. I love bargaining the price which is best done if you are paying in pesos, not USD or any other foreign currency. There are two large grocery stores near this Resort. Soriana is closest and within easy walking distance. WalMart is a longer walk but best to take the bus which costs 10 pesos per person each way. Make sure to take the ticket from the bus driver when you pay - exact 10 peso coin is best to use. The room was very clean as well as the entire resort. The pools were enjoyable as well as the beach area. We especially liked the lobby area which was huge and had a slight breeze flowing through it all the time since it was open to the sea and to the resort entry. This resort is typically quiet and relaxing, but there are families with children present. One big negative for me was that the staff pushed attending a timeshare sales presentation all the time for their new Flamingo Resort. We finally relented to get free breakfasts for the rest of our stay and 20% discounts off dinner prices and tickets for Rhythms of the Night show (a must see that I highly recommend). However, the supposedly 90 minute sales pitch lasted 5 hours of which 1.5 hours was driving to and fro the Flamingo Resort. The salesman is high pressure that would not take NO for an answer so we had to eventually stand up to leave. We would not do it again. You will find out quickly that all residents in Puerto Vallarta try to get you to attend a timeshare sales pitch, I mean almost everyone so beware. Nothing is truly free. Overall, we enjoyed our time at this resort after the sales pitch experience.

Feels like home
Entertainment group was great,Chloe,Alana and Laura go above and beyond to be friendly. Pedro at Carbons and Melqui at the bar are special people

Came back with bedbugs. Reported to staff, was told they were "noseeums" that bit be at the beach. Stupidly I believed them. Did not do a good enough job with my luggage and brought them into my home. Months of torture until they were finally gone. About the hotel nothing else matters. Also ruined the brand for me - was really wanting to go to the Loreto resort but cannot trust it.

I want to give a big thank-you to our room keeper, Adriana Alvarado. Her customer service was amazing—she was always on top of everything and made sure our room was perfect every day. Truly one of the best room service experiences I’ve ever had. Thank you, Adriana! Room was clean and very beautiful vibes . Will definitely come back again and stay here

A nice resort to stay
We come every year to this resort that we love a lot, we brang our grand daugther and this time she enjoyed paddle boarding with Ian, we also enjoyed the Mexican Night with Mar, Charlie and Dj Salvador. I recommend and appreciate to much Belen and the Levi service.
