What We Love

  • This resort is perfect for families. Kids in Paradise keeps children happy while their parents enjoy time alone for scuba diving, sport fishing and spa time.
  • The new farm-to-table restaurant, Tomatillos, is absolutely amazing!

Things to Know

  • The resort is a great base for families who love the fine sand of Medano Beach. But there's also golfing, whale-watching and a simply fabulous spa.

Is Los Cabos calling your name? Then head to this resort! This exciting hotel is the most family-friendly resort in Mexico, according to Travel Age West magazine. Professionally certified staff members keep your children smiling with piñata making, stone painting and other exhilarating activities. With amazing waterfalls, a gorgeous saltwater aquarium and seashell chandeliers in the nine-story atrium lobby, the hotel inspires wonder in kids of all ages. But that's not all. This escape haven is within walking distance of the numerous bars, shops and restaurants of Cabo San Lucas.

While your kids squeal down the whale slide, kick back and enjoy the gorgeous pool area with its new flagstone walkways and decks. Take a dip in the ocean to get a feel for the Pacific from this corner of Mexico. The Los Cabos area is known for rip tides and dangerous beaches, but the hotel sits along sparkling-white Medano Beach, widely considered the safest swimming beach in Cabo San Lucas. Attendants on the beach bring Mai Tais or rum punches whenever you're ready.

When it's time to leave the beach, Bella California is where to go! Gorgonzola cheese, red wine sauce and rosemary enrich your filet of beef. And don't worry about the kids - they'll be eager to dig into their wood-fired pizzas. If you want to enjoy a scrumptious sampling of dishes, enjoy the gourmet buffet and nightly entertainment at Las Tortugas.

Save time for an indulgence or two at the 10,000-sq-ft Desert Spa. This chic spa has a variety of services that we love, but the Noche Romantica is a must with your sweetie: massages, aromatherapy and candles followed by sparkling wine and strawberries! Don't just lounge around the resort. Get your heart racing with tennis, basketball or beach volleyball. Go for an adrenaline rush with water skiing or Jet skiing. For a change of pace, nurture your culinary talents learning to prepare salsa or guacamole. Or take a nap with the kids; you may never want to leave your Junior Suite with its balcony overlooking the ocean.

Great experience May 2024 at VDP Cabo

This was out first time returning to VDP Cabo as we have stayed many times at the Arco since then. We are taking this opportunity to thank those who made our vacation memorable. We'd like to thank Alex who served us at Tortugas and at the dinner shows. His warm welcome, attention to customers, great smile and great sense of humor was appreciated. Carlos Castillo our pool server was amazing. Carlos was attentive, friendly, great smile, and personable was also appreciated. With great assets like Carlos and Alex taking such amazing care of us we will absolutely return. Nico our pool server was great also. Alberto pool manager was attentive to everyone's needs and friendly. Until next time, thank you again for making it a great vacation.

Greatest service ever! Our pool concierges, Alberto and Antonio, took amazing care of us. And Carlos was our service all week and he was amazing!! They not only helped us at the pool, but set us up with dinner reservations, private drivers and more! Also… Tip your service providers in Mexico!! They make your stay top notch and deserve it!!!

    Can’t wait to go back!

First time at Villa del Palmar and I can’t say enough good things! The facility is beautiful but honestly, the employees are down right phenomenal! They are so attentive and everyone from the bellmen to the servers to housekeeping do their absolute best to make your stay care free. We ate at the restaurants, had service to our beach chairs most days and even went to the sister resort, Villa del Arco, for a high end, delicious meal at Neptune’s. We received outstanding service from Esteban. He learned our drinks, made suggestions, and kept track of what we needed. Esteban brought food and it was always accurate. His attention to his customers and details made a HUGE impact on our stay! For us, the All-Inclusive plan worked well for us and I would highly recommend people “do the math” and consider it because it makes things easy. Villa del Palmar team-thanks for a GREAT week! Do yourself a favor and plan a visit soon!

    Lawsuit waiting to happen

Watch out for the umbrellas! I am very disappointed in our experience at Villa del Palmar Cabo. I booked 3 rooms for my family and both sets of grandparents for what I thought would be a wonderful experience. We arrived Sunday April 7th for 5 nights. On Monday, while we were sitting at one of your restaurants my mother in law tripped because her foot got stuck in one of the poorly placed umbrellas at the restaurant. This absolutely changed our plans while in Cabo and after escalating this to management while at the resort, they finally agreed to cover the hospital charges (we ended up only receiving partial credit). We saw so many people almost trip, I genuinely feel this is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Wonderful property if you can afford it.

We have been coming here for 24 years. Upgrades have been great. Better and more chairs and umbrellas. Less loud music but plenty of activities by the pool. Entertainment and pool staff are exceptional. As is housekeeping. The shows are fun. We always make a trip to Walmart for food and drinks for most of our stay. The only negative is that prices for everything have skyrocketed. Even happy hour drinks are high. The Palmito Market used to be quite handy and not terribly expensive. Now it is ridiculously high. The spa is over the top $$. The special dinner buffets and show have also gone way up. I guess the all inclusive packages keep them going. We do love the coffee shop and deli. The pastries are amazing and very inexpensive.
