What We Love
- This resort is perfect for families. Kids in Paradise keeps children happy while their parents enjoy time alone for scuba diving, sport fishing and spa time.
- The new farm-to-table restaurant, Tomatillos, is absolutely amazing!
Things to Know
- The resort is a great base for families who love the fine sand of Medano Beach. But there's also golfing, whale-watching and a simply fabulous spa.

Find somewhere else.
The hotel is under renovation. Only two small pools open. The construction is ONGOING. I am next to the pool now and I can hear the saw from 100 feet away from us. It’s been ALL DAY. for the all inclusive package- you have to wait and sign for everything. Very dated system. Only three restaurants to choose from with very limited options. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Nice staff, but not for me.

Not happy with the construction
The location is perfect. The construction made it hard to relax. It started as early as 7:30 am and went on till about 8 pm. The food was excellent as always. Bellboys- same guys of the 11 years I have been going, they are very accommodating and friendly. Poor service and poor attitude in the Sports bar. Receptionist is not inviting. Pool area Nico and Alejandaro went above and beyond..top notch employees. I expected the renovations to be done as the website said Oct 9th. We arrived on the 19th and they were no where near done. They should have offered a discount or not opened. I wouldn’t have a house party, while my house is under construction. First day of arrival both bedrooms the air conditioner did not work or the ceiling fan in the one bedroom. They replaced the fan. Day 2 no hot water, was told to let it run for 15 minutes, that didn’t work either. Not my last visit here but certainly feel like I should have been told about the renovations. The night manger Johnathan listened to my complaints and was very apologetic.

Avoid this hotel! Renovation Nightmare!
I recently stayed at Villa del Palmar in Cabo San Lucas and I was completely shocked by the condition of the resort. I booked this hotel based on the amenities and experience advertised, but what I arrived to was nothing like what was promised. The resort is under major renovation and guests are not being informed ahead of time. Pools closed or restricted – Most of the pools are shut down due to construction. Only one pool was available, and it was overcrowded and noisy from nearby construction. Guests are told to take a trolley to access pools at the neighboring resort, which is inconvenient and ridiculous for the price paid. Beach access restricted – Not at all the relaxing beach vacation we were expecting. Limited dining options – Many of the restaurants were closed or had limited menus. The only time we attempted to dine at the resort, it took 30 minutes just to be seated and another 45 minutes to get our food, which was mediocre at best. After that experience, we chose to eat off-site for the rest of our trip. No prior warning – The most unacceptable part is that we were never informed about the massive renovations before arriving. Had I known the true condition of this resort, I would have never booked it. This felt misleading and dishonest. This was supposed to be a relaxing vacation, but instead, it turned into a frustrating experience surrounded by noise, inconvenience, and closed amenities. Do not book this resort. There are many better options in Cabo—this one was a huge disappointment.

Outstanding!
Another outstanding visit to the Villa Del Palmar Cabo. Our family was here and enjoyed every second of our vacation despite the construction of the new facilities that was underway. The staff, namely Chloe, Carlos, Oscar and Gustavo were amazing! Everyone was so friendly and the food was top notch! We are excited to be coming back again in April 2026! Ray, Stacey and family
