What We Love

  • This resort is perfect for families. Kids in Paradise keeps children happy while their parents enjoy time alone for scuba diving, sport fishing and spa time.
  • The new farm-to-table restaurant, Tomatillos, is absolutely amazing!

Things to Know

  • The resort is a great base for families who love the fine sand of Medano Beach. But there's also golfing, whale-watching and a simply fabulous spa.

Is Los Cabos calling your name? Then head to this resort! This exciting hotel is the most family-friendly resort in Mexico, according to Travel Age West magazine. Professionally certified staff members keep your children smiling with piñata making, stone painting and other exhilarating activities. With amazing waterfalls, a gorgeous saltwater aquarium and seashell chandeliers in the nine-story atrium lobby, the hotel inspires wonder in kids of all ages. But that's not all. This escape haven is within walking distance of the numerous bars, shops and restaurants of Cabo San Lucas.

While your kids squeal down the whale slide, kick back and enjoy the gorgeous pool area with its new flagstone walkways and decks. Take a dip in the ocean to get a feel for the Pacific from this corner of Mexico. The Los Cabos area is known for rip tides and dangerous beaches, but the hotel sits along sparkling-white Medano Beach, widely considered the safest swimming beach in Cabo San Lucas. Attendants on the beach bring Mai Tais or rum punches whenever you're ready.

When it's time to leave the beach, Bella California is where to go! Gorgonzola cheese, red wine sauce and rosemary enrich your filet of beef. And don't worry about the kids - they'll be eager to dig into their wood-fired pizzas. If you want to enjoy a scrumptious sampling of dishes, enjoy the gourmet buffet and nightly entertainment at Las Tortugas.

Save time for an indulgence or two at the 10,000-sq-ft Desert Spa. This chic spa has a variety of services that we love, but the Noche Romantica is a must with your sweetie: massages, aromatherapy and candles followed by sparkling wine and strawberries! Don't just lounge around the resort. Get your heart racing with tennis, basketball or beach volleyball. Go for an adrenaline rush with water skiing or Jet skiing. For a change of pace, nurture your culinary talents learning to prepare salsa or guacamole. Or take a nap with the kids; you may never want to leave your Junior Suite with its balcony overlooking the ocean.

We had to book our transportation from Villa del Palmar to Cabo Airport with Cabo Limousines due to Coronavirus

due to coronavirus we had to do an early departure, we booked our transportation on Cabo Limousines website, we wish we could've stayed more in cabo but coronavirus messed everything up, besides that our transportation with Cabo Limousines Company and Stay with Villa del Palmar was great

    Always a Great Stay

We had a family reunion with daughter's family. The grandkids are 13,15,17 and 19. Never heard them once say "I'm Bored" Staff is always friendly and helpful. Keep you all in our hearts as we work thru this pandemic.

Villa del Palmar, Cabo San Lucas

This is a beautiful location. 80-85 degrees in February! We had a great time! Everyone was so helpful and kind! We did several excursions during our stay...snorkeling, city tour, camel ride in the desert. Lots of margaritas and fun!

    Had a great stay!

Beautiful resort! We got an ocean view room on the 6th floor. Every night we enjoyed the music from the daily shows down below. Good resort for kids, though we didn't bring ours. Food exceeded expectations for an all-inclusive. We didn't get the all-inclusive, and in retrospect, wouldn't have fully used it. They also jacked up the price from ~$70per person/day when we booked in advance to about ~$110per person/day offered at check in. Definitely not worth the higher price at check in unless you are a hardcore drinker.

    25 year anniversary

My wife and I stayed at VPD for a week, we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. The hotel is older but kept very clean in the main areas. I do agree with other travellers that rooms were not cleaned until very late in the day or not at all if you did not ask for it. Also, soap was frequently missing from bathrooms in public areas. Staff did not correct poor behaviour by the spring breakers. Kids having fun but making other people uncomfortable with easily correctable behaviours. A large disappointment to our trip was a theft from our room. We had a a pair of earbuds ($250) stolen from our room on our first night. While I reported this knowing full well that they would not be replaced or compensated for, I was completely disappointed in the hotels response. The response was nothing, crickets, I explained that we were celebrating our big anniversary and we were very upset with this happening. Nobody followed up, nobody apologized, nobody showed any remorse, and most importantly nobody cared. We enjoyed our stay, despite the sour taste. All the staff everywhere else were fantastic. I hope the VPD employee using my ear buds gets good use out of them as I loved them. Next time just ask me, I would probably give them to someone more in need than me. The hotel is good for the price, just know that they compromise their values.
