Very Disappointed and Nightmare and never return to this resort
We are the group of 17 people, from Toronto, Canada, booked the package (Aug. 9-16 cost $1439/person) at VIK Hotel Arena Blanca in April, 2025 through Selloff vacation for Air Transat provider for family and friend reunion vacation and our granddaughter’s birthday. When we arrived to the resort. We very disappointed and couldn’t believe the resort is running so badly, they don’t care and it seems the business is going closed soon or change the new management - The furniture is out of dated - One bigger/main pool is renovation, the dust guard is not high enough for the safety, so the dust and pollution were all over on the walkway and into second pool. - No entertainment at night or any activities during the day - Food is bad and smelly - The lounge at the lobby no tea/milk, there is a hot water - Not fill the drink supply in the small fridge (it is empty) - Beach is full seaweed, no clean-up, brough a concern, the receptionist said that the contractor comes only one a week to clean the seaweed We had to move to another resort, Sunscape Resort in our own expenses. (We have been at Sunscape resort last Aug., so we knew that is the best resort)

Worst experience of my life
During my stay at this hotel, I had the worst experience of my life at the hotel spa. I received a massage from an unqualified person named Ralph. He injured me, and I was unable to walk for two days after the massage. When I returned to Canada, my doctor diagnosed me with a herniated disc. A little advice: avoid the spa.

Nightmare
The place is very depressing, It should be demolished and rebuild it. I booked for four days and left the hotel the next day. It’s awful from the entrance to the beach. Not a place to stay and enjoy. Don’t waste your money and time.

You get what you pay for ..
You get what you pay for, this was one of the lower priced all inclusive I found on Cheap Caribbean. Staff was friendly (though not all spoke English) and housekeeping did a great job tidying up and replacing towels daily. The property shows its age. My favorite spot was the open air lobby with a nice breeze, a tucked away bar, and comfortable seating, I spent most days there relaxing with drinks and coffee. Dining was hit or miss. There’s a Mexican and an Italian restaurant; both were mediocre, but Mexican was better. The buffet was the best option overall, with more variety and something for everyone. Drinks were just okay, light on liquor and many tasted the same. There’s one main pool and another for VIP guests (not worth the upgrade). A third pool is under construction, and the noise from jackhammers was constant during my stay. Rooms were basic and dated. My garden “suite” had old tiles, worn furniture, patio doors that didn’t lock and had a gap, and a bathroom with heavy soap scum, water leaks, and poor fixtures. AC was unreliable — only 2 of our 4 rooms had working units, and even then, they blew cool air at best. Overall, we still had a good time because we knew not to expect luxury. This resort could earn better reviews with serious updates to its rooms, amenities, and maintenance.

Worst experience.
0/5 …. DON’T BOOK HERE YOU’LL BE DISAPPOINTED. Check in is at 3PM which is normal, but all the restaurants don’t open till 6:30PM. They only have a snack bar which includes frozen fries, boiled hot dogs, boiled burgers & frozen pizza. THEY DONT HAVE LEGIT FROZEN DRINKS !!!! I COULDNT EVEN GET A REAL PINA COLADA IT COMES OUT OF A JUG THAT IS BROWN NOT EVEN WHITE!!. Food is disgusting, rooms smell weird & the customer service is horrible. I would’ve checked out right away if I didn’t get charged a night. Stood only one night because of how outdated & horrible this resort is!!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED. Please trust the reviews & the pictures this place is horrible. 0/10.
