Beautiful Dominican Family
We have been travelling to the V.H Gran Ventana in November and again in April for many years. Solange is in charge of guest services and always eager to assist with special requests and accommodating special celebrations while you're on vacation. Her desk is in the front lobby and she is always ready to assist with all matters in regards to making your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Oscar is the manager of the hotel and is accessible for conversations, concerns, complaints etc. It is nice to see a manager that is hands on and visible, respected by the employees and guests alike. Last year he asked how many times we have been to the resort? Surprisingly I could not give an exact number but know that it is twenty plus times. We are returning again on November 14th for ten days. I guess it truly is like visiting family as you don't keep track and are always welcomed regardless. The resort is well laid out and accessible for all age groups. The rooms are very clean and house keeping staff are extremely proud of the work they do. The a la carts are well managed/staffed with a variety of healthy food choices that are very palatable and presented well. The bars are well stocked with a good variety of choices. They can also accommodate people with restrictions, allergies and preferences quite well. The beach is very nice for walking and kept clean. The vendors are lovely people and just trying to make a living. Be kind! They often pass with a tractor and rake the sand of seaweed and all things washed up on shore. I would have to say the biggest draw to this resort is the amazing, hardworking and friendly staff. They ensure that you are having an enjoyable stay and seem happy regardless of the heat, rain or how busy the resort might be. In Canada we leave a tip of obligation and it is often added to your bill and expected. At this resort they are happy regardless but if you can please show your appreciation and give what you can as it shows respect for all they do! The service is without doubt impeccable. A big shout out to Jesus,Maria, Santos, Diony, Fracico, Yulisa, Eno, Luis, Odaly, Antonio, Andreas, Felix and the lovely smiley lady at the buffet that greets you with an energetic continues wave. Love my Dominican family

A week of sun and fun!
Just spent a week at Gran Ventana and had a lovely time!! The beach was incredible. Crystal clear water, barely any seaweed and spots to snorkel and see fishes. The staff was awesome, everyone was SO nice. Droopy, Adeli and Daniella were the entertainment crew and beyond the games and dancing they put on, we had some lovely chats just as people getting to know each other which really made this trip a little extra special. I will miss you guys!!!! Pay them a million dollars, they deserve it 🥳 lol There was not a huge food selection but everything was delicious and cooked well! Also the music at the pool was so-so, they may have been catering to an older crowd. I just wish it was more consistent because it seemed to just randomly stop playing at times.

A holiday in paradise
This has been my 4th visit to this amazing 2nd home. I stayed for 2 weeks and loved every second I was there. I did not want to leave. Rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable with TV, fridge, safe, and coffee machine which are all included in the price. My maid Lydia was amazing. Always kept my room nice and clean, always asking if there was anything extra I needed. As I'd upgraded I used the Vintage Room. This i highly recommended as its air-conditioned, small canopies to nibble on, branded alcohol, TVs if you like to watch sport. A big shout out to Olvi and Santa who looked after me so well and make the best cocktails and drinks. On the beach you also have a private section to sit/lie in where I spent most of my days and was treated like royalty for 2 weeks. Aquilino and Jose work there. They were both amazing keeping me entertained treating my again like royalty and I never had an empty glass. Massive shout out you these two also. They really do work so hard. There was no disappointments the buffet or the Al-a-Carts. The food was delicious with lots of variety every day. Again treated like royalty 👑. Big shout out to Raul, Felix, Amable, and the rest of the team i the buffet and to Carlos in the Al-a-Carts. As Oscar says you will leave this hotel as family and I couldn't agree more. It is an oldish hotel but thd staff are absolutely amazing and do treat you like family, they can never do enough for you and no ask is to big for them either. Am looking forward to my next visit in October 26 💗✈️🍾🥂🍸⛱️♥️
