Dec 29, 2025Great Value at Little Tropical Oasis
We were pleasantly surprised by this little gem. Small and manageable with access to the two beachfront resorts. The beach and water were not excellent for the Riviera Maya, but we knew that ahead of time and the pools were great. We prefer adults only, but it was so mellow when we stayed there that the families didn’t bother us. There are some adults only areas, but we didn’t utilize them much as we preferred the shady Bali beds and hammocks. The food was quite good. The buffet at the Marina El Cid was just okay. All the a la carte restaurants we went to were very nice and the Marketplace concept at the Ventus was fun and enjoyable. Excellent ceviche at the seafood stall, a fun cheese wagon and the creperie were favourites. We upgraded to the Platinum suite and that was well worth it. Our butlers were two lovely gentlemen Manuel Diaz and Sebastian. It was so pleasant to have our dinner reservations made for us at the beginning of the stay, aromatherapy in the evening, and booking the carts to move around the resorts. They were always so friendly and anxious to help and we really appreciated their care and attention. The service in the lobby Platinum lounge was great too. Actually, the service was top notch everywhere from the excellent waitstaff to the bartenders to the grounds people. We also loved the vegetarian and various indigenous critters around the property. The rooms were contemporary, comfortable and well kept. No hesitation about recommending this property if you’re not a huge beach lover. Great value for the money.

Dec 27, 2025Beautiful Resort, but Needs More Amenities On-Site
We stayed as a family of four (2 parents and 2 kids ages 10 & 12) in one room with 2 doubles and a murphy bed for 7 nights. Pros: - Stunningly beautiful property. Felt like we were in a landscaped jungle! - Great front desk staff. - Immaculately clean resort, including rooms, restrooms, dining areas, etc. - Pool not crowded whatsoever, and we could always get loungers by the pool. - Floors 3 and up have a pool view. - A'akat's a la cart fish tacos are absolutely delicious! - Breakfast buffet was always tasty. - Golf carts available to transport to sister properties. - Kobo dinner was yummy and entertaining. Cons: - Staff friendliness was hit and miss. - Poor poolside service. Oftentimes there was none at all. - They played the exact same music playlist at the pool every day. Would have been nice if they switched it up. - No lunch or dinner buffet available, only breakfast. - Rooms are not soundproof, and you can hear the people above, beside and outside of your room. - Rooms are very dark. - Sinks are not inside the bathroom, but rather next to the sleeping area. - Room service takes a long time. - Not beachfront - No Cafe

Great food, room, pools and service!
We had such a great experience at El Cid Ventus Ha! The room was gorgeous and the view was wonderful. Our butlers, Manuel Diaz and Sebastian took excellent care of us. They made all our dinner reservations, transportation arrangements and got anything we needed. I hope we can get them next time we go. The food and ambiance at all the restaurants was superb. Can’t wait to go back.

The perfect winter getaway
We had a great family vacation. The setup is ideal as all three El Cid resorts are walkable or a short golf cart ride away. The food was fantastic. Our Butlers Manuel Diaz & Sebastian were always available and really enhanced our stay with great recommendations and timely service. We will be back.

Jorge Best Bartender Ever
Jorge is a great bartender. He treats everyone with respect.. he is incredibly entertaining and his love by everybody.. everyone continually ask for him and above all, he makes the greatest concoctions of drinks to these people. We love you see you next time Neil and Donna
