Amazing Vacation
We have been coming to this resort for many years, and every visit is exceptional. Over the past few years, we have had Manuel and Are as our butlers, and they truly go above and beyond every single day. We recently got engaged and let them know, and they surprised us by decorating our room beautifully. It was such a special and thoughtful touch. They make the experience feel truly luxurious while also making you feel like family. When we went into town, they gave us amazing restaurant recommendations, all of which were fantastic. We genuinely look forward to seeing them every year — they are incredible butlers. The food throughout the resort is excellent, and we received amazing service at all of the restaurants. The rooftop pools are stunning, and we especially enjoyed drinks at the Waves bar. We will absolutely be back many more times.

If Fun and quality had a baby
The entire resort is a hidden gem, from the food to the hospitality, it’s a needle in the haystack (mangroves) that you cannot miss if you are travelling to the Mexican Caribbean. I will have to highlight one special experience throughout our whole trip. Jorge at the Na-Ha speakeasy rooftop bar, is exceptional. It’s hard to focus on the view of the ocean behind you, compared to his professional skills behind the bar. His charming smile and attentive care, mixed with his intricate cocktail creations will have you craving to return each night for sunset drinks. 10/10 would recommend, please visit Ventus Ha @ Marina el Cid. -Sean

Disappointing Stay for a Family
We stayed at Ha Ventus in Puerto Morelos, and overall it was disappointing for a stay with kids. The staff were very nice and genuinely tried their best, but the resort itself has several major issues. One positive is that the rooms are new and updated, which we appreciated. Internet is a serious problem. The resort charges $60 USD per device, so for a family of five it would have been $300 USD just for internet. If you need to use a laptop or iPad, that’s another $60 per device. Since there is no reliable cell reception in the hotel area, guests are basically forced to pay if they need to stay connected. We chose not to connect our kids, which meant they were without internet for days. In 2026, it honestly felt like going back to 2010. The beach is very poor. It is dirty and full of man-made barriers and rocks, with a lot of dirt in the water. If you care about having a nice beach, do not book here. Some areas of the resort were very smelly, which was unpleasant and surprising for a resort at this level. The resort is clearly designed for adults, not families. The shows and entertainment are meant for adults, with very little appropriate for kids. This is not a resort for families with children. We did enjoy the heated pool, however finding places to sit or even where to leave towels was challenging and poorly organized. The resort is also very large, made up of three connected hotels, so be prepared for a lot of walking, especially for dinner. There is only one main buffet, which makes it inconvenient depending on where your room is located. Food was okay, but nothing special and not what we expected for a resort at this level. Overall, while the staff were great and the rooms were updated, I would not recommend this resort for families with kids, especially if you care about beach quality, internet access, and family-friendly amenities.

Consistent, clean, elegant, fun, delicious and repeatable family vacation.
Family of 5 in a 2Q room + murphy bed in building 28 at Ha. We had a fantastic 10days. After reading reviews, I was worried about the beach and being harassed by time-share pressure. Neither concern was warranted. For starters, the beach isn't magnificent but you can still pull up beach chairs. Swimming in the ocean is OK for shallow snorkeling but not for chilling. In our 10days, the coast got hit by a storm and there was 60feet of seaweed coming ashore - it took 4+ days of constant cleanup but they got it. Able to do a long walk of the beach too, past the Marina and watch the dolphins training. Otherwise, the place was well decorated, well maintained and clean. As for the membership presentation, we actually attended and it is an interesting proposition, but I would start off by stating they must respect your time. We were told 90mins and it took 180mins. Food was excellent, coffee & snacks were great. Walking between the 3 resorts takes maybe 10mins end to end. Don't worry about the road between, no biggie. Breakfast on the Ha side was by far the best. Mimosas and Chilaquiles beside a crocodile and turtles swimming! There were always options for chairs by the pools but the "fun" pool with the slide/jumping rock got full. The bartenders were responsive, even if you didn't have tip money. Amazing roof top bars. The late night mixology menu was also very nice. Night life was slow, which was fine for us with kids. There is the lobby bar for adults but not much else. We did zip into the "Casino-Night", and it was actually a lot of fun. We missed most of the entertainment/ shows because getting a la carte restaurants at 5-6pm was impossible. The shows we saw were low-key but fun. I do recommend you go and ask if you don't have a rez. We saw many times that they will accept you if there is room. Treatment of allergies was excellent - my wife is Celiac and could easily navigate the menu. LOTS of options. PS Make sure to hit up the Taco party. Daytime activities were plenty - outdoor spin class & yoga, lots of pool games, beach games etc. and 3 immaculate Pickleball courts that we never had a problem getting equipment. The hot tubs are actually hot. We did a free Cenote trip (21ft jump) paired with a jewelry store visit. While we didn't appreciate the sneaky stop there, but the prices were actually the best we saw anywhere. We did the bike tour to Puerto Morales and it was easy and a morning well spent. We did a fishing trip from the Marina and did very well (Bonita Tuna, King Mackeral, Red Snapper, Grouper and a Bull Shark!) - well worth the money. No fishing from the shore, btw. OK that is long enough, but if you can't tell, we thought highly of the resort and it's staff. We have been to over a dozen resorts, many in Mexico, and this one was very consistently a mark above others. We will hopefully go back soon.

Great special dining experience
Ronqueo, the art of cutting a bluefin tuna - a pairing dinner was fabulous and an amazing value. Held at KOBO restaurant the food was unbelievable. The waitstaff was eager to please and the sommelier Mauricio chose some delicious wines from around the world. This was my second time at Marina El CID Resort and my best dining experience. For a charge of only $69 for this event you won’t find a better value anywhere. The pictures tell the story or at least part of it.
