Excellent stay
We visit Cancun often and decided to try Ventus and am glad we did. We had a great stay. We upgraded to platinum which we found was well worth it. We had 3 butlers, Celine, Ivan and Cali who were all excellent. We communicated with them in person and through What’s App and they were always very responsive. They made us feel welcome! Food was great! There was always plenty of choices. AC worked amazing! We will definitely be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars — All Because of the Heart and Soul of the Staff
This five-star review is entirely thanks to the people — the real heroes of El Cid Ventus. One woman, in particular, deserves her name in lights: Rena, a stunning soul and phenomenal waitress at both Trattoria D’Gulio and Mercado de Dolores. Her warmth, grace, and professionalism made our trip feel personal and special. But she’s far from alone — the entire waitstaff, cooks, hostesses, and every hardworking team member deserve a standing ovation. Let me be honest: our check-in experience was disappointing. It lacked the warmth and welcome we’ve come to expect from past visits to Mexico — including our first El Cid stay five years ago at the Marina, which was exceptional. This time, we were handed our room info and told to walk ourselves. There was no orientation, and the rate we paid didn’t match our receipt. On top of that, the front desk made it clear that unless you’re Platinum, you’re treated like second-tier. That sting stayed with us. But the true heart of this resort is found behind the scenes. To the gentleman who restocks the fridge — thank you. To Lucy in housekeeping, and the teams who scrub every inch of the rooms — thank you. To the gardeners, the cabana cleaners, the ones who sweep the walkways and quietly clear dishes while we relax — thank you. During a sudden storm, we watched a petite staff member, alongside coworkers, rushing through wind and rain to recover cushions and umbrellas — soaked but focused. That kind of dedication can’t be taught — it’s just who they are. The Ventus pool bartenders were incredible. When there was no mix for a non-alcoholic drink, the bartender didn’t just apologize — they had someone run out to find chocolate so my husband could enjoy a mocktail. That is true hospitality. Every single employee who smiled and said “hola” or “buenos días” while hauling bags, sweeping, or setting up made our trip feel warm and welcoming — in a way the front desk simply did not. The entertainment team brought passion and joy to every show. The Fourth of July celebration was unforgettable — a full-blown tribute to the USA, better than we’ve seen at home. From 5 to 11 p.m., they had BBQ, dancers, music, and nonstop energy. No fireworks were needed — they lit up the night with pride, respect, and love. Especially with everything going on in the world, it meant so much to feel seen and celebrated as Americans abroad. A special shoutout to the 24-hour on-site doctor — incredibly kind, patient, and clearly excellent at her job. It’s rare to find medical care that feels both professional and genuinely caring. She went above and beyond. Yes, the pools are beautiful and well-kept. The beach isn’t ideal for swimming, but the Mesoamerican Reef tour (~$60) was the best snorkeling experience we’ve had between Cancun and Tulum. Absolutely worth it. We also booked Shuttle Central’s private round-trip transfer for $130 — smooth, safe, and reliable. — Final Thoughts: This resort isn’t perfect — but its people are. Rena and every behind-the-scenes team member made us feel valued and cared for. They’re the reason this review is glowing. To management: please recognize them, reward them, and know they are the soul of El Cid Ventus. Thank you for reminding us what real hospitality looks like. With love, gratitude, and deep respect from a very thankful American family.

Always book Platinum Club
We had the best experience staying here. Our butlers Celine Botello, Cali Medina and Ivan Garcia were all excellent. We traveled for my wife's birthday, our butlers arranged for all our restaurant reservations, golf cart transportation, aromatherapy in the room and a surprise cake and balloon set up. I couldn't be more grateful for them making our trip a memorable one. They ensured the mini bar was always restocked and checked on us everyday if there is anything we need and provided us with all the day activities. I recommend you book Platinum. It allows you access to all the other resorts and you get treated like a Platinum VIP. Thank you and see you next time! The only con would be is that it was a season for seaweed, so beach access was a no go but we did enjoy all the different swimming pools in each resort.
