    What a wonderful resort!

    What a wonderful resort! The rooms are very nice and well kept, the grounds and pools are clean, the food was excellent and the people are gracious and helpful. We will be going back again and again! Be sure to make reservations for your evening meals; the restaurants fill up quickly. Pay attention to the daily event postings--there are plenty of fun activities every day and evening. Also, they offer excursions and other activities. My wife and I went to Chichen Itza and toured the grounds of the Mayan pyramid, El Castillo. The spa was awesome. Hydrotherapy, massages and more were offered. We had two butlers, Omar and Saul, during our weeklong stay. They were fantastic! Omar and Raul were very friendly, courteous and helpful. We will ask for them the next time we are at El Cid!

    Another great year at Ventus!! 💯🌴

    We had an amazing time at Ventus! This was our second year in a row and we definitely plan on coming back again! The food was amazing, our ocean-facing room was just beautiful, the landscaping at Ventus and it’s El Cid neighboring resorts was pristine, gym was exactly what we were looking for, drinks were on point (shout-out to Alberto!! Who kept us well hydrated by the pool!) and lastly we did the catamaran snorkeling tour with Jorge and his team and it was amazing! On that tour we saw a spotted eel, nurse shark, blowfish and beautiful reef fish. Our biggest shout-outs go to our amazing butlers: Luis, Hugo and Noah!! They checked on us several times a day ensuring we had everything we needed. They gave us rides to dinner each night via golf cart and helped us book all of our reservations. We’ll be back!

    Relaxing one week vacation at Ventus El Cid Resort

    We were 3 couples who stayed in a 3 bedroom suite first week of September 2025 at Ventus El Cid. Our stay was very relaxing. We were pampered by our butlers Luis, Noah and specially Hugo. They made sure all our needs were met. They even sprayed aromatherapy in our room before bedtime. There are so many specialty restaurants to choose from. We ate dinner at different restaurants every night. Everything was arranged for our convenience. Everyone in the resort were very cheerful, courteous and friendly. The only bad experience we had is the sargasso in the ocean which smells so bad at times. Our rooms were facing the ocean and we could smell the foul odor emitted. Other than that, everything was wonderful including the tours we purchased from Pronatours, office housed at the resort.

    Ventus at Marina El Cid

    I just returned from a short (5 days) but wonderful vacation at the luxurious Ventus at Marina El Cid. The restaurants and facilities were all wonderful but what set this place apart was the service from the waiters, bartenders, housekeepers and pretty much everyone we encountered. At the very top of this list were Omar and Saul. To call them butlers is a slight…within minutes of getting to know them, they were friends and my wife and I can’t thank them enough for their care, hospitality and friendship. Gracias! ❤️🤍💚

    Not sure why we had to pay over $200CAD of taxes upon arrive to the hotel with WestJet vacations. Hidden fees are not a good experience
