  I am hard to please, but this resort is 10/10

  Stayed in building 1 silver room with prive. Personally, prive was worth it alone for the saved Bali beds on the beach/pool. We used it daily as I despise the beach chairs. Plus the prive sections are in prime locations (to me) so that was a major win. We also used the concierge to book a couple restaurants for special occasions and that worked out great. We ate lobster 3 nights and it was delish. Being from Nova Scotia we were unsure if the lobster here would be any good and although it’s different, it was prepared well and had a delicious butter sauce for dipping. Loved the room! Very spacious. Used the jacuzzi tub every evening to relax. Room was always cleaned extremely well no complaints and at a reasonable time (some resorts I’ve returned at the end of the day - not done at all!!) Made use of some special amenities a such as the coffee bar- delicious coffee and iced coffee as well as little treats and ice cream! I loved this asset. Churro cart was a must one we learned where it was. We aren’t big night time people so can’t comment on the entertainment. We have been to ai’s over 10 times and you can only see so many Michael Jackson shows 😕 we did not go to the sports bar as it was too loud when we opened the door. I believe the football fans congregate there for games. Sounded fun if that’s your thing! No visit to don miguels either although it looked very pretty. Restaurants!! The best restaurant was Taman Sari by a long shot!! We were both so surprised at how good the food was there. The ribs and chicken satay were 10/10. We almost went back the next night. I don’t know if it gets as much PR as the Japanese or Italian but all should give it a try! Italian- it was ok. Not the best braised short rib I’ve had but not the worst. I’d go back and try the pastas next time. French (Alsace) again it was good but I have had better at home. The buffet at this place was wow amazing. I loved the food there- such variety! And all very tasty. I wish it was open in the evening. Steakhouse- my husband loved his meal and me not so much. Ribeye was tough 😕 service at all places was outstanding!! We also ordered room service a couple times and it was very good. Flavourful and fresh. All in all, my husband and I aren’t huge drinkers so I can’t really comment too much on that but the “super man” drink it delicious and I highly recommend. Also ask for don julio for tequila shooters if you like it a bit better going down. We loved this resort and would definitely come back. The grounds were immaculate, lovely people (no drunken fools), food was quite good and just a great vibe. We are middle age- I wouldn’t really wanna come here in my early 20’s but that just from my past experiences of AI’s I liked in my 20’s haha. Thanks and I hope this helps someone decide on trying the VIM!!

  We can't wait to go back!!!

  Loved the place. The big pool was fun with activities going on most of the day. The golf carts were very prompt on the nights we didn't feel like walking to the main plaza are. The food was delicious in each restaurant we tried. The nightly shows were entertaining! We did not care to carry our phones to access the menus at supper time. We also thought 12 throw pillows in out room was a bit much!

  Thanksgiving Vacation

  Had a great time! Friendly staff, great food, and a wonderful atmosphere. It was truly all-inclusive and we really enjoyed seeing all the animals around the resort that coexisted with the people there.

  Just like paradise

  Beautiful hotel, perfect service, friendly stuff, great food and so much more. We can only recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back one day. "Welcome home" is so much more than a marketing slogan. We really felt like home, thank you so much for this. @Dora: You definitely need to learn a few more words in German ;-)

  New standard for 5 star!

  We do 2 or 3 adult all-inclusive vacations per year. We never go back to the same one twice. But if we had to, this would the one. Staff is so well trained and everyone single one we met, including maintenance staff, were cheerful and kind. Rooms were super well equipped with USB ports, and all desired amenities. Restaurants are definitely high standard. From beautiful decor, table setting, dishes, silverware and glassware are top notch. Food was simple amazing. As was service. Large pool is one of the cleanest and best maintained we've ever seen. I wish the beach would be better, but a few major storms messed a few things up. But it is not a deterent. The grounds are spectacular. This was also our first time at a Valentin resort and we will definitely look into their other destinations. 5 Stars to the staff. They are truly amazing and make this place an absolute gem.
