  Honeymoon

  Francisco was absolutely amazing! The service was exceptional, and he made sure everything was taken care of with professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail. He went above and beyond to make the experience special and enjoyable. His friendly attitude and dedication did not go unnoticed. I truly appreciate the outstanding service and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent experience! Francisco is the best!

  Another enjoyable visit

  We have just returned from our 14th visit. This time we travelled with two of our adult kids. We booked junior suite jacuzzi rooms travelling with British Airways from the UK. We arrived on a Thursday and waited about 40 minutes for our bags in terminal 2. This is vast improvement on last year, We always use AGI Tours for our transfer and their service, as always, was prompt and faultless. Check in at the hotel was smooth. Uziel checked us in and Jorge our kids. They are both very friendly and helpful, remembering us from previous visits. The location of the rooms we had requested were not available but this was sorted out the next day. We upgraded to PTC because La Terazza pool was shut and we find the infinity pool too busy. We also like some of the extra areas of the resort that PTC gives us access to. We had so many butlers as they kept being moved between villas. It is better when you have the same butlers throughout your trip as you get to know each other. Our thanks to Francisco, Gustavo, Patricia, Susanna and Eric. Lisandra has been our butler several times in previous years and it was lovely to catch up with her too. A special thanks to Francisco and Patricia for the lovely surprise they arranged for our kids wedding anniversary! Sadly Caprichos was shut for our entire stay and this is our favourite place for breakfast (and lunch), this was a disappointment as, in our opinion, Helios is nowhere near as nice as Caprichos. We did meet up with the amazing Ana Chable Zapata in Helios who kindly laid on a lovely surprise for my husband’s birthday - which I forgot to record and will never live down. . . Twice in à la cartes my husband’s birthday was also recognised and celebrated. For breakfast we ate at Helios twice but mostly La Dalia and The Nest. As neither La Dalia nor Caprichos were open for lunch we mainly ate at La Laguna. The new Grand Gelateria and Pizza Stop are welcome additions! In the evenings we ate at Helios Mediterranean, La Boheme, Caprichos (Mexican pop up), Portofino, Japanese Teppanyaki, Bamboo and El Gaucho. We also ate at La Hacienda a couple of times as à la cartes were not available. The food was always tasty with much variety. Our waiter for the Mexican evening in Caprichos was Marcos. He was very funny and super helpful. Our kids were lucky enough to have Marcos as their waiter again in La Boheme on their wedding anniversary too and he surprises them with an impressive flambé dessert. It is the staff who draw us back to TRS year after year. Everyone is so helpful and they love to practise their English with you. I did notice this year that everyone’s English had improved, unlike my Spanish! My daughter-in-law and I participated in the macrame session which was very interesting. We booked the chocolate tasting too but that was cancelled. Still there is always next year! The only really negative thing for us was Caprichos being shut. We love the food, the ambience and the staff there. Last year La Terraza pool was in desperate need of maintenance so whilst it was disappointing it was shut for us this time, we knew it needed to be done. For anyone worrying how they will sleep away from home, don’t worry! The beds are so comfortable and the pillows are like sleeping on clouds. I wish I could buy those pillows in the UK! None of this would be possible without all the people behind the scenes. The housekeepers, gardeners, maintenance team, pool staff, cooks, cleaners and back office staff to name just a few. Thank you all!

  ★★★★★ — TRS Yucatan Saved Our Vacation!

  What a difference a hotel makes! We started our vacation in Tulum at Hotel Delek, which was an incredibly disappointing experience. Between the overpriced food, underwhelming accommodations, and overall lack of value, we were seriously regretting our decision to stay there. Fortunately, we decided to change hotels and move to TRS Yucatan on our third day, and it completely turned our vacation around! From the moment we arrived, the difference was night and day. TRS Yucatan offered the beautiful resort atmosphere, amenities, comfort, and overall experience we had been looking for. It actually felt like we were on a luxury vacation rather than paying luxury prices for a mediocre experience. The resort itself is gorgeous, with beautiful grounds, wonderful pools, excellent facilities, and plenty of opportunities to relax and enjoy ourselves. We especially appreciated having a variety of dining and entertainment options without feeling like every little thing came with an outrageous additional charge. If you're considering a trip to the Riviera Maya, I would highly recommend TRS Yucatan. After our disappointing start in Tulum, this property reminded us what a great vacation should feel like. We would absolutely return. Five stars and well deserved!
