Pretty Resort, But Not the Best Experience for Our Honeymoon
I am currently staying at this resort for my honeymoon, and while it isn’t a bad resort, it unfortunately hasn’t been my favorite and I wouldn’t choose to come back. We were supposed to receive a fruit basket with champagne for our honeymoon, but it was forgotten. At check-in, we were told we were being “upgraded” to a bungalow. When we arrived, we found out the only shower available was outside, which I really did not like and wish had been disclosed ahead of time. On top of that, the balcony door was broken, which made me feel unsafe. We saw our friends’ room, the suite with a jacuzzi, which is actually the room type we originally booked. Their room was easily 10x better. We requested to switch since we had paid specifically for a suite with a jacuzzi, something we were looking forward to. Once we got to the suite, the jacuzzi itself was broken as well. The resort property is very large, and it takes a long time for carts to come around, so getting from place to place can be slow. On a positive note, the food has been great. Between the room issues, broken amenities, and lack of communication, it hasn’t been the honeymoon experience we hoped for.

Amazing Week at TRS Yucatán
We just returned from seven days at TRS Yucatan and had an amazing stay. Our room, 6924, was across from a small pool with a bar. It had a relaxed vibe and good music, and we stopped by a couple of times during the week. This was our third TRS property and the service here stood out the most. Check-in was smooth. We upgraded to PTS for $500 USD, which gave us full spa access, two Chic dinner show tickets, two 25-minute massages, a lobster dinner for two and a few extra perks. Good value based on what we used. Our main butlers, Itzel and Eric, were fantastic. Itzel handled all of our dinner reservations right when we arrived and made everything easy. We spent most days at the Infinity Pool. The PTS section always had loungers available and the bar service was excellent. Food across the resort was great. The only miss was room service. We tried breakfast once and the food arrived cold with only a single cup of coffee instead of a pot. After that, we stuck to the restaurants, mostly Caprichio and La Dalia. Both had fresh options, a mix of buffet and à la carte, and plenty of variety. A big shout-out to Abraham at Chic. His service was outstanding and he even performed in the show. We’ve seen other Chic shows and this one was by far the best. The entertainers, food and service were all excellent. Other dining highlights: • El Gaucho, where we ate outdoors on a beautiful night with tiki torches. Food was amazing and Edwin was a great server. • Sumptuary Teppanyaki, where Jesus (server) and Faustino (chef) made it a fun night. Food was excellent and we shared the table with some lovely people. We used the gym five times and visited the spa three times. Both were spotless, well maintained and relaxing. The massages were amazing and every employee we met was kind and helpful. Our room was nice but humid. The air conditioning stopped working the night before we left. Maintenance fixed it quickly but it went out again later that night. The resort is large, clean and beautiful, with lots of wildlife. We would absolutely return. Thank you to everyone who made our week so enjoyable.

Adult family vacation
We had a fantastic family stay at TRS Yucatan with our adult children. All of the villa butlers were friendly and attentive, but Carlos stood out - always thoughtful, hardworking and going above and beyond without being intrusive. The staff at Helios are also worth noting, particularly the wait staff who made our stay even more memorable by surprising us with a beautifully crafted treat to celebrate. Our only suggestion would be more on site photo opportunities, such as unique architecture, sculptures or creative lighting.

so much fun!
We came for my bachelorette trip. TRS lobby and rooms were so beautiful and smelled amazing. It was so clean everywhere we went! Our E-Butler Fernanda was amazing and set up a really nice surprise for us at Chic. She is so kind and made us feel so special. The drinks were so so good where ever we went! Helios and La Dahlia had the best breakfast. Tentazione was the best dinner and our waiter Marcos made the experience even better. El gaucho portions were really good, the steaks were amazing and had the best dessert. We got a package deal for the spa that was so worth it. The hydrotherapy was also amazing. Chic was so much fun. The food, drinks, and entertainment 10/10! I knew it would be an amazing show because the preshow started off so good! Hector always had a big smile on his face and made sure to stop for us to give us a ride whenever he saw us! Our rooms were cleaned twice a day. I made sure to stay hydrated and didn’t get sick once during my stay here. Will definitely be back!

13th Stay — And Definitely Not Bad Luck!
We’ve been fortunate to stay at many wonderful luxury resorts—boutique properties, adults-only escapes, and high-end all-inclusive brands. Yet we continue to return to this one. Counting our stays at White Sand and Family Select, this was our 13th visit to the Grand Palladium/TRS complex — and once again, this resort reminded us why it continues to be our favorite. We enjoyed the beach every day and also spent time at La Terraza, the infinity pool, and the White Sand pools. The scenery is gorgeous everywhere you go, but it’s truly the staff who make this resort special. A Special Shout-Out to Israel We especially want to recognize Israel, the pool (and often beach) butler at Family Select. He consistently went above and beyond. Although we were staying at TRS, we love that TRS guests can enjoy the Family Select area — and Israel made us feel completely welcomed there. His care, warm personality, and attention to detail genuinely elevated our stay. He is a real standout and a tremendous asset to the resort. Additional Staff Who Made Our Stay Wonderful Mafer and Maykent (Butlers in Building 63) – exceptionally attentive and always one step ahead Ariana at Niu and The Nest – her bright smile made every visit a pleasure Ana at Capricho – consistently welcoming and kind Alberto, the doorman – we have known him for over 20 years and he always greets us with a smile (If you meet him, ask about his “28 sons” — a playful inside joke!) Samuel, the daytime bartender – remembered my almond-milk coffee immediately and enjoyed discovering that I adore carajillos Luna, Capricho hospitality intern – talented, professional, and a true rising star; we hope she is hired at the end of her program Marcos at Tentazione – excellent service and delicious meals; we dined there three times and he remembered our preferences after the first visit Iván, one of the drivers – friendly, helpful, and always enjoyable to speak Spanish with There were many others whose names we didn’t catch, and their kindness was equally appreciated. Nightlife & Entertainment We often see mixed comments about the entertainment, but we found plenty to do every night — sometimes too much to choose from. There are options for different tastes, which we appreciate. It’s also helpful to know that the Secret Pool and La Terraza stay open until midnight, offering extra choices for late-night swimming or relaxing by the bar. A major highlight for us was the Beatles tribute band. We loved them so much on Saturday that when they mentioned they’d perform again at White Sand on Sunday, we made sure to go. It wasn’t listed anywhere, so we practically had a private concert — wonderful for us, though we hope they receive more promotion so other guests can enjoy them too. Throughout the week, we also enjoyed several excellent Latin bands. Balanced Feedback In the past, I have been criticized for only sharing positive impressions. However, I truly see the glass as half full, especially when I am away from work, cleaning, cooking, and other responsibilities. Although the resort was at 96% occupancy, we never felt crowded nor lacked attentive service until the Friday before we left. Even then, it wasn’t terrible — simply not as exceptional as the prior days. Some guests behaved inconsiderately, such as taking entire platters of food meant for everyone. We’ve noticed similar behavior when staying one week and one day past Thanksgiving, and we suspect there may be certain groups who return annually during this time. There were weddings during our entire stay, with a few very large celebrations on the last day. But this can happen anywhere. We once visited Le Blanc and a loud group (ironically from a hair salon in my hometown) overshadowed a champagne brunch with a harpist. There is only so much a resort can do about guest behavior. Final Thoughts The natural beauty of the property keeps us coming back — but it’s the people who make us feel at home. Our 13th stay was another phenomenal trip, and we’re already planning visit number 14.
