  OK stay, won't return, service hit and miss

  We stayed here for 10 nights 6 -16 Dec. We had a romance swim out suite, DO NOT ACCEPT ROOM 5401, if you book this room category. It was not private at all, everyone used our patio and steps to get in and out of the pool, and walked on our patio as a short cut to their room or hotel. It was horrific, we were in the room and people stood on our patio, and using our sunken sun loungers. 17 people in one hour used on patio for access and convenience, so, because it was so stressful, we chose not to use the room in the end, get up at 6 am every morning to get a sunbed round the main pool. When we complained about this issue, we were told to deal with it ourselves and just tell people to stop using our patio. I said, I haven't come on holiday to start arguing with other guests. So, we chose to not use the room through the day. Our romance suite swim out, was not as described, we didn't have any seating area with a sofa, so if we wanted a drink in the room, the only comfort we had was to sit on the bed. We didn't have a separate lounge, it was just one room with one TV. Again, we complained, they offered to move us on day 3, to another suite which didn't see any daylight, it was in a dark, dingy corner, so we stayed. What I really don't like is that on day one, you have to decide where you want to for your hole stay and what time and book in to be able to get a table, you can't just turn up to the A La Carte Restaurants, we don't like this. On evening 2, we were booked into La Boheme, OH MY, the service was horrific, especially by JESUS, the manager there. We had to ask for water, a drink, service, someone to take our order, and JESUS just ignored us with an angry look on his face. It was so bad, we left after an hour and we hadn't had a drink or eaten. We complained and asked to see a manager, well, JESUS walked out, and told us to go away and complain elsewhere. We asked for another manager, he refused our request. We went to reception and asked to see a manager, none available. We complained to our butler and asked for a manager, no manager contacted us at all about complaint. So, I can only assume the management don't care and they hide from guests. We were told by lots of people before we went to La Boheme not to go because the service is really bad, well, we experienced this first hand. Helios was wonderful, along the beach front. STEPHANIE AND ANGELA are such beautiful, friendly hosts, and we looked forward to seeing them every day. So welcoming.

  Excellent value for money

  Beautiful place, grounds well maintained and very welcoming. Managed and maintained very well. Everyone is very attentive, very polite and very friendly. Would recommend and would definitely visit again. Good fresh food and a good variety, plenty to choosefrom, especially as TRS guests can access the entire resort (Grand Palladium). Hellios is what makes is it even more special as this restaurant is on the beach and it is for TRS guests only. We went there with a group of 40 people and everyone loved it. Some rooms are better than others, some rooms have been recently refurbished and some rooms are a bit dated. We were lucky to stay in a newly refurbished room with a perfect view (pool and partial ocean). This was our 6th time in Punta Cana and we knew what to expect: beautiful white sand beach, beautiful turquoise water, Caribbean vibes and plenty of sunshine.

  Almost Perfect

  A great resort. Would go back. Amenities, restaurants, beach, pools are all good. Turquesa is adults only but there 3 other giant resorts on the same property. Staff is great, butlers so helpful. Never made it all the restaurants there are so many. Book them as soon as you get there. Building 52 is best. Near everything. ONLY problem is they let people put towels on chairs at 7:00 am and some are not used until 2-4-6 hours later!! It would so easy for management to organize this and to avoid the terrible problem of no pool chairs for the rest of us. Make half non-reservable, or make a time limit, or charge for them if all day. Or any other way so guests can sitfor a time at the pool. There were arguments when someone gets so mad they just take a chair that had a towel on it for hours and never used, and near fights over this. Overall a great place.

  Vacation

  We had an amazing time at TRS Turquesa. Our butler, Norris was fantastic at helping with everything we needed. She was very attentive. My husbands birthday was the day we left and she decorated our room for him the night before we left. 10 ot of 10 recommend
