  Not a 5star resort - sunbed wars!

  This is not a 5 star hotel - maybe a 4 max! Unfortunately we had problems as soon as we arrived. On check in I asked the reception if they had any room upgrades, to which a female member of staff tried to sell me a room upgrade through herself and not the hotel, stating it was just between us and should any problems arise we would have to contact her via cellphone and not the hotel, which I felt uncomfortable with so we stuck with our room. On arrival to our room, it was filthy. The floor covered in dirt, body hair and grime all around the shower and toilet. Musty/Damp smell in bedroom. As it was late we stuck it out for one night before seeing our rep in the morning for a room change. This did waste a whole day as the hotel gave us incorrect times for when the room was ready, and then on our arrival to it found housekeeping still cleaning. Second room is acceptable but the water pressure is awful with poor hot water during peak times. Sunbed wars! I’ve honestly never been to a hotel with this kind of issue, especially one that claims to be 5 star (all other 5s I’ve been to actually allocate you a sunbed for your rooms). We have been getting up at 6am every morning to secure sunbeds, on some days we’ve found people sitting on our own personal towels using them, we’ve also seen people’s things thrown from sunbeds they have got up to secure. Staff do not care, and actively encourage you to take things from sunbeds if you want to use them. There is also nowhere near enough sunbeds for a hotel or this size! This system is ridiculous. The only solution I could suggest is do what european hotels have started doing and bring in a no reserving sunbeds rule, we saw multiple sunbeds with belongings on not being used for all of the day. The food - Meh, it’s ok. The buffet has a good selection but it doesn’t change it’s the same food or similar every lunchtime and dinner. The restaurants are very difficult to book in our opinion a the only way we go booked into them was via guest services after complaining. Food again isn’t bad, had good meals and bad in all the restaurants. There is also a VIP upgrade at which goes you access into a beach bar and private sunbeds but we didn’t use this service as felt it cheeky with what we’d already paid to then add an extra on top. Overall it isn’t a bad hotel, I wouldn’t return and will be requesting some of my money back from our holiday provider as this is advertised as a 5 star hotel to which sadly it is not. We wouldn’t return unfortunately but have had a nice vacation.

  Our first trip together.

  It was our first time at the Caribe Deluxe Princess in Bavaro and was very pleased. It was in close proximity to the airport and shopping opportunities. The beach was pristine and beautiful to walk and was the site of many activities. The lobby was a large open air space to relax with a drink and enjoy late night entertainment. The shuttle service was easily accessible to travel from one end of the resort to the other, but if you choose to walk, the wildlife roaming the grounds adds to the incredible view. The rooms were always cleaned and the mini bar was restocked daily. The buffet had incredible selections and the à la cart restaurants provided great options as well and the food was always delicious. The Teppanyaki show at the Tao restaurant made for such a wonderful evening. There were many activities for young and old and the entertainment staff always tried to get the guests involved. The drinks at the bars were well made and the staff was all very engaging. The spa offered wonderful services and the massages I had by Maria and Raquel added the perfect relaxation to my trip. Julio Cesar Polanco was our butler and was so attentive to our needs. He was happy to pick us up to take us where we wanted to go on the grounds, and arranged for us to have a shopping trip off site. He also booked dinners for us and was always willing to go above and beyond. The staff always made you feel like they’ve known you for years and we are looking forward to our return.

  BEST VACATION EVER!

  I would rate this adventure/vacation greater than five stars if that was an option! The location was close to the airport and so was the shopping. The views from our room was perfect for my morning and evening balcony cervezas'. The turquoise waters and the blue skies were picture perfect like something out of a magazine! The lobby was immaculate and huge and provided the perfect space to relax and enjoy coffee or drinks. The room was always well cleaned and the mini bar constantly replenished on daily basis. The hotel grounds were pristine and clean throughout and there was a noticeable absence of rowdy and noisy guests which made for very pleasurable days and nights. The buffet restaurants always had a great selection that would satisfy even the picky eaters and the specialty restaurants that required reservations MUST be experienced to understand how excellent the cuisine was. Even the 24 hour sports bar had great food and service! The staff was amazing in every way and always willing to help in any way they can. Our butler, Julio Cesar Polanco facilitated our every need and beyond. He exceeded all of our expectations very timely and efficiently. I would highly recommend utilizing his services for the perfect vacation experiences. This holiday was worth every penny and my wife and I are already planning on returning to this resort soon! Thank you Julio for all that you did to make our vacation unforgettable and thanks to the staff throughout the resort that we made friends with for such professional service. See you soon!!!!!!!

  Caribe deluxe princes pool bar

  Great resort. I had a great time at the pool bar serviced by Wally Wellington John and johancil. Very friendly and professional service. Lots and lots of fun!

  Relaxing vacation!

  This was our third trip to this resort. Such a casual, relaxing vibe here. We want to thank De Le Paz, Audelina, and Francisca at the Beach House, in particular. You are really treated like family here! The staff is great! The resort is clean and well maintained. The buffet was better this year than in the past. If I could change anything it would be the dining reservation system. It is very frustrating. So hard to get in anywhere. My other con would be lunch at the Beach House. In my opinion it needs to be improved. Overall, we had a wonderful time and will be back!!!!
