A True Royal Experience
From the moment we step foot at the location, our experience was fenomenal. All staff we encountered were excellent. From the check in when we spoke to Emmanuel who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. To our trip assistant Julio Cesar who has also went above and beyond with his service from driving us wherever needed to booking our amazing dinner reservations for our days here. De La Paz, Patricio were other staff members who served us in such a manner. We have not left yet and we are already planning our next trip back within the next couple months which we will be bringing with us other couples to experience this great location.

Been at resort 2 days and disappointed so far!!
We’re at this resort right now. Arrived on Feb 12. Pros: pool is huge, beach is amazing and grounds are beautifully taken care of. Nice lobby and check In was smooth and we were given a nice rum punch as we checked in which was appreciated after a long travel day. The A la Carts are easy to pre book. Staff all helpful. Cons - Toilets wont flush down waste. Clean pool towels not available daily- it’s hit or miss. 1st Room had blood on bed, no lamps or pillows. No plates in buffet from time to time. Wait staff in buffet very slow clearing plates. No pool activities and minimal music which makes it a very boring day. Staff takes items off loungers by pool and throws them on the ground or in a tree and takes lounger over to beach, I’m shocked at this. if your not on the lounger it’s fair game for the staff to remove your stuff as there’s not enough loungers for beach. I saw this countless times and I’ve only been here 2 days. Bottom of the pool is VERY dirty and needs repairing, I cut my foot on bottom of pool from all the crap on it - can you imagine. Pool is ICE cold, coldest resort pool Ive ever been in. I sent an email prior to arriving requesting a pool view room and a tour of the resort and all room categories as I’m a travel agent and wanted to promote and sell resort packages, I never received a response, our room view is of a chain link fence (pic attached) and our patio is 2 feet from the service road which is non stop traffic for resort deliveries staff vehicles etc. CANNOT sit on patio. Who wants to stare at a fence with an empty lot and have trucks and cars zoom by you every 5 minutes. Been here 2 days and I’m very disappointed right now. We travel to 3-4 Caribbean resorts a year and so far this resort ranks in my bottom 3 ever. The resort is lovely to look at, but so far there are many small things that are adding up quickly to a big issue with this resort.

Amazing Resort
The resort itself is beautiful, with a gorgeous beach, awesome pools, and excellent food. The room was modern, clean, beautiful, comfortable. The staff is very kind, friendly, and welcoming. The customer service staff, specifically Nina Lee is polite, amiable, responsive, she strives to help. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a fun-in-the-sun vocation.

Cold food and no sunbeds - definitely not a relaxing experience
My wife and I have just come back from 2 weeks at the Carib Deluxe Princess (booked with TUI in the UK). We had a nice break from the UK but sadly this was quite a poor experience and not as good as it should have been for several reasons: There are not enough sun beds for the number of guests. We were setting a alarm for 0730 each day in order to reserve one with our towels (as everyone else was doing). If you tried after 0800 you would be lucky to get one. This is not what you want to be doing on a relaxing holiday and the hotel and TUI rep made no effort to resolve. The food in all restaurants is warm and not hot - this includes the 6 a la carte ones. It was really disappointing not to look forward to dinner as we knew it would be a poor experience. The entertainment is very poor. Most of the time the animation team would simply dance to music or get guests up to play games. There were a couple of external acts but one was dancing (no singing) to Michael Jackson music. The animation team worked very hard but they are not performers. The rooms are a decent size, have a comfortable bed, and look have been renovated but the bathrooms are dated with poor fixtures. Our sink plug was broken the entire time and our shower fixture fell out of the wall - no attempts to repair even after reporting. There was also quite a lot of rain while we were there and water was dripping from our ceiling on the middle floor. All of the hotel facilities could be used by the sister hotel on site (Tropical Princess) as well as the Adults only Punta Cana Princess adjacent to the hotel. The hotel has a 5* rating as it had spa, gym, multiple restaurants etc but it does not deliver on the basics and I would class it as 3* at best. TUI really need to review their gradings of hotels and listen to feedback from guests.
