Gorgeous country!
Our stay in Costa Rica was amazing. The staff at the Westin is fantastic. So pleasant and helpful. We ate so much great food. The Italian restaurant was our favorite and my kids loved the Mitra Market. We had fantastic servers at all the restaurants. Erik at the pool, who is in charge of the activities, is so much fun. He’s full of energy and makes you feel so welcome. Our room was spacious and very clean and if we needed anything extra (towels, more conditioner, water bottles) the items were delivered very quickly. We also booked a few excursions with Erik G (who you can find on the beach in a blue polo shirt) and they were incredible. I really didn’t know what we wanted to do when we arrived and he was so patient explaining all the options, talking with my two girls, and based on talking with us a bit suggesting what would be most enjoyable for our family. He was spot on! Both excursions exceeded my expectations. For our first excursion, we hiked to La Leona Waterfall and swam through caves — it was incredible. We were also provided photos from the excursion at no extra charge. Our second excursion was on the Lazy Lizard catamaran where we snorkeled, saw dolphins, whales and a beautiful sunset. It was an amazing end to our trip. We will definitely be back to explore more of this gorgeous country!

Excellent Stay at Westin Reserva Conchal
My family spent a week at the Westin and had an amazing experience. The service was outstanding, the staff were incredibly friendly, and our rooms were spotless. We dined at a few of the resort's restaurants, and the food was exceptional. Our waitstaff, housekeeping staff were very attentive and did a fantastic job. One of the best parts was the variety of free activities available, such as kayaking and biking, with other activities offered for an additional cost. There were also local vendors offering massages and tours, who were all super welcoming. We booked a tour with Erik G (he’s the guy in the blue shirt—just look him up on Google!) and had a wonderful hike to the waterfalls. He was great at coordinating the activities and made sure everything ran smoothly. The resort itself offers plenty of entertainment during the day, and if you're interested, they’ll organize additional activities for you. All in all, it was a fantastic trip, and we’d definitely come back!

Disappointed
We are current guests and quite disappointed with the service. The staff are by and large indifferent and condescending. While “pura vida” is widely said, it’s rarely practiced. The ecotourism may be amazing but the customer experience is not. The “beach” barely accommodates a handful of lounge chairs and is inundated with people peddling goods and services. For a wonderful vacation look elsewhere.

Family trip to Costa Rica
We coordinated all of our activities through Erik Garcia (blue TripAdvisor/google shirt). We did a half day waterfall hike, surf lessons and coordinated travel to and from Tamarindo and the resort. Each experience was great. The people coordinating each activity was friendly and on time. My family and I felt safe and relaxed in each instance. Cost of each was less than if coordinated directly through the resort. Would definitely recommend Erik and his team.

First Time In Costa Rica - Amazing!
This was our first time in Costa Rica. What an amazing country! The people are so friendly. The Westin is a beautiful property. You can walk around or be transported by the many golf carts. The pool is huge with a great swim up bar. The food was average to decent. Also highly recommend going off property and exploring the country. Highly recommend Conchal Fun Tours. Andrei was great to work with and tailored tours for our family. We took 2 separate excursions…1) RioCeleste hike with sloth sanctuary, and 2) Zip lining. Both were absolutely amazing! Ron was our tour guide for the Rio Celeste hike. We learned so much about Costa Rica from him. He was very accommodating, stopping for breakfast and coffee at the start of our journey. We swam in the Llanos del Cortez waterfall, hiked to the beautiful Rio Celeste waterfall, followed by an amazing traditional Costa Rican lunch, then to a jungle hike where we saw sloths (up close), colorful frogs, snakes and toucans. Andrei was our tour guide for the zip line. He took us to New Monkey Jungle - Santa Rosa Costa Rica where we zip lined up in the tree canopies. It was so much fun. Andrei then took us to Tamarindo, a great beach town where we ate and shopped. Andrei was very helpful to point out great places to eat. Would highly recommend Conchal Fun Tours!
