My Favorite Place!!!!
I am a 5 repeat visitor to this resort every December. I look forward to coming every year. The rooms, restaurants, and grounds are immaculate. But I come back every year because they make me feel like family. Josiline and Stephanie in the club. Javier Braun, Jeffery Guti, and of course Nelson at the pool and in the Towers. At the club restaurant in the morning the people are fantastic. Eddie, Jorhan, Rachel,Fernanda, Paola. They are so welcoming and kind and the reason I keep coming back year after year. I hope to see them all again next year. I highly recommend this resort not only for adults but for families as well. The food is very good. The people are most excellent.

Disappointed. The food is very average. The beach is public so you have vendors approaching you. Rooms are dated.
Very mediocre. We have stayed at Westin resorts before. This is not the best. It fell below our expectations. The food is very average. The rooms are outdated. The beach is public so you are bombarded with vendors. You have to make reservations for half the restaurants the day of and they are booked up unless you want to eat dinner at 9pm. Simple amenities like bottled water and sunscreen are not provided. We had to chase the bottled water down. They want $50 for a bottle of sunscreen. The staff was very friendly and tried to be accommodating. The staff only has so much they can do. Sorry Westin you missed the mark on this resort.

Great Resort - Fun time had by all
This was our third time in Costa Rica and our second time at the Westin. Our first time at the Westin was cut short, as it was March 2020 and the resort was closing due to COVID, so we had to leave. Anyway, we had a great time at the Westin. The staff was great and all of the amenities were perfect. The place is very clean including the restrooms by the pool. 3 of the restaurants require reservations made thru the Westin app BUT you must wait until after 8am and it’s first come first serve. I never had an issue reserving a time at any of them. Some people did complain but they tried to make reservations later in the afternoon and all the slots were filled. The entertainment was good and the overall feel of the resort is that of being in a jungle. Howler monkeys will sound like barking dogs, we saw multiple deer around the resort and the iguanas by the pool were fun to watch. The only minor issue I had was the buffet could have had more daily variety for lunch. The selections are good but more change during the week. Maybe a day or 2 of Costa Rican foods from the local flavor but this is by no means a deal breaker. The resort is mid-sized and there are workers driving golf carts to take you where you want to go at any time. I never waited more than a few minutes for a ride but make sure to raise your hand to signal them. Overall, an excellent resort and a great time at the Westin.

• So Far, Not the Resort Experience We Expected
We arrived at the hotel late last night after a very long journey from Canada, followed by a lengthy drive from the airport to the hotel. To begin with, I was surprised that there was no complimentary airport transfer, especially given how far the hotel is from the airport. In our experience traveling to the South and the Caribbean, this is usually standard at resorts. There was also no welcome drink upon arrival, which is something we normally expect at a resort of this category. The rooms feel quite dated and are expensive for what is offered. Basic amenities are missing, such as a shaving mirror or a full-length mirror, which is disappointing at this price point. So far, we have only had dinner at Mitra Market, and the food quality was very average. The setup feels more like a food court, where you order and then pick up your food yourself, which again does not align with expectations for a resort experience. At this stage, I have to say that I am not impressed, although I do want to mention that all the staff we have encountered so far have been extremely friendly and welcoming, which is appreciated.

Great hotel-Great experience!
We had a great time! We booked the hotel through Costco, and the experience was seamless. We booked the Club Room in the Adult Tower, and our room was huge. It can overlook the pool or the trees, and ours faces the trees. Had a nice balcony and felt very private. No rooms here have beach views, but that was not a problem the forest was beautiful. Our concierges Kenny and Bergen were great at making sure we had everything we needed, for example Kenny called and arranged a breakfast for us at 6:15am via room service (breakfast is not on the menu that early). We had booked an excursion thru Erik G that left at 7am. The excursion was fantastic!! You can find Erik at the entrance to the beach in a blue shirt. We chose the La Leona waterfall hike, and the river tubing. Erik was great at keeping us informed about what to bring for the trip and checked on us via text to make sure our experience was great. The waterfall hike was beautiful, and the tubing was exciting! Both were very safe, and we felt cared for. The tour driver picks you up at the Westin lobby. Lunch is included, and was tasty and delicious! You can pay cash or credit card via PayPal. TIP: Ladies, wear a one piece swimsuit or if possible, wear bike/board shorts or rash guard leggings- don’t wear bikini bottoms. The Erik G trip was the highlight of our vacation! I highly recommended his tour services! Restaurants: You need to make reservations for only 3 restaurants, Bamboo, Spirula, and Manglar. You use the app “Bonvoy Experience” and select the Westin Conchal. We were able to get tables no problem. We ate at both Bamboo and Spirula. The food was good, but we preferred Fasinella for both food and ambiance. The staff at the restaurants seem to rotate, so you may see your favorite servers at different places. The staff here is wonderful! Everyone is very kind, gracious, and hardworking, interested in making sure your experience is great! We definitely plan on coming back to the Westin in our return trip to Costa Rica, and will even take the Erik G tour again as it was so much fun!
