Pura Vida!
31 members of my family went to the Westin Reserva and had a wonderful time. There was something for everyone! Many of us enjoyed the main pool, water aerobics, bike riding, golf, the beach, various restaurants, karaoke, the club pool and the spa. We also booked excursions for a catamaran ride on the Pacific, a visit to the rainforest, and zip lining, which were so much fun! My son and I even spent a day trip touring Nicaragua! The staff at the hotel were friendly and truly embodied “Pura Vida!” However one staff member stood out above all others and that was our concierge, Javier. Never has a concierge worked so hard to anticipate our needs and to assist us. When he saw us heading off to the catamaran ride he asked whether we had towels, which we did not. The next thing we knew 31 towels were on the van for us to take on the boat! We held 2 family dinners during the week and Javier was indispensable in the planning, securing our reservations and for the last dinner, arranging for a birthday cake for my niece. Javier also arranged for room service for our golfers so they could have breakfast before their early tee times! He did this without asking - just in response to an anticipated need. When in Costa Rica, consider the Westin Reserva and stay in the club room so you can experience Javier and “Pura Vida” too!

great trip!
we had an amazing trip. Javi was extremely helpful with all of our needs. the food was better than expected, given it is an all inclusive. we did a tour where we swam with bioluminecense, which was really cool! resort was clean, staff attentive, and grounds are beautiful! only suggestion is to be attentive when eating by the pools as the iguanas can get a little too interested. we would definitely return!

Great all inclusive resort for families
Overall had a great stay at the Westin with our family of four. We booked a Family Suite, which gave us access to the family lounge, a specific area of the pool (with its own bar), and rooms that were closer to the pool and main restaurants. Rooms and resort: - We only used the cart to get from our room to the lobby when we ate at Cauri and for check out. Otherwise the grounds are sprawling but an easy walk. - We saw monkeys and iguanas daily during our stay! - Rooms were spacious, sofa was turned out into a comfortable sofa bed for the kids. Bathroom was large although we could have used more hooks or a drying rack for our wet bathing suits. - Housekeeping was excellent, towels replenished and reception sent housekeeping quickly twice for specific requests. Pool/beach: - Pool was heated like a bathtub, which is my preference but my husband thought it wasn’t refreshing enough on a hot day. - Even though the resort was busy, pool was big enough that it never felt too crowded. Lots of shallow entry areas for the kids to play. - Westin exits in the middle of Conchal Beach, which was stunning. Walk towards the left for softer sand and fewer people (towards the W hotel side), walk towards the right for the coral/tide pools. Water was clean and warm. - Only downside of the beach were the jet skis. They were loud, fast, and smelled of fuel as they drove past. Always felt slightly dangerous given all the swimmers in the water, since there’s no separated area just for swimming. Food/drinks: - Bartenders were generous with the alcohol. Lots of alcohol-free options for the kids. - Restaurants open at 5:30pm for dinner. Our first night we waited 30 min to be seated when we put our names down at 6:30pm. We then learned to come during the first seating wave for faster turnaround. - Service was good but incredibly slow. All our meals took 1.5 -2 hours from seating to finishing dessert. Expect a slow dinner and everything is fine. - Manglar: Appetizers were great, entrees were meh. - Faisanella: Gorgeous setting, excellent service, great food. - Cauri: Our favorite meal of our stay. Get there early for the sunset views, food was terrific. - Caracola: Ate there twice for lunch and ordered the same meal each time. Fried red snapper was delicious. - Mitra: Plenty of breakfast options. As part of the family suite we were able to eat in Spirula, which is air conditioned.

Great family trip
This was my 2nd stay at the Westin . This time around we brought my son, mom, and we had a blast . The food was amazing , great pool and top shelf swim up bar; service is 2nd to none . I did all of my tours with “Erik G”, I met on the beach, he has the “Blue Google shirt” on. Just ask for “Erik” everyone knows who he is. We did a 3/4 day fishing trip, waterfall, sloth, coffee plantation, and chocolate plantation tour. I will definitely return to Westin in the near future . Pura Vida
