ARUBA - ST. REGIS RESORT - A MUST-DO VISIT
WOW !!! It was our first visit to Aruba. My wife and I have a beachfront timeshare on St. Martin but we wanted to try Aruba. We lucked out having reservaqtions for last week of Jan. 2026 when the East Coast was suffering horrible temps in teens and below. We, however, were on Artuba at the St. Regis Hotel Aruba Resort. UN-FRIGGING-BELIEVABLE ... the Resort was only open one year so it was in great condition in every way. It is, IMHO, a 5-star hotel. 24 hr. butler service (very cool).and concierge service. EVERY EMPLOYEE was almosty stmbling over themselves to assist in any way. Seriously, it rivalled my stays at Four Seasons Hotels (in Phila. and elsewhere). They booked a round of golf for me and (at their suggestion - actually the doorman's recomm.) i played the Tierra Del Sol course only 10 min. away. It was fantastic. The course was in pristine condition, greens rolled true though they had a lot of contour. Winds were strong but - hey - c'est la vie. The weather in Aruba is INCREDIBLE -- why do we live anywhere else? It is 80+ degrees EVERY DAY and high 70's EVERY night with very little rain. Grandkids will keep us here (per my wife) but i would sell everything and move there today. Maybe when Kim retires too i will bring it up again ... lol. Enjoy. PS -- our flight home was booked with a layover in Charlotte NC which got like qa foot of snow on day opf return. UGH. flight re-booked 5 or six times that day finally switching us through Miami. we got home that night but 1:00 AM with (as expected) no luggage. But, American Airlines was excruciating in their efforts to track down our bags and delivered them to our front door within 2 days (and, of course, no worries to us we were home! Takes nothing away from my review. even with flight/luggage issues, i would do it again. ALL IN ALL A FANTASTIC VACATION.

Great lunch at Nuba thanks to Juan!
We did not stay here but just had lunch 2 times at Nuba at the pool and the beach. The atmosphere was okay, but the real reason for my review is Juan who served us! What a great guy! Kind, interested and good at his job! Complimenten to him!

A not so luxurious vacation experience
A beautiful resort but the experience is not luxurious. Check in process was smooth and our room is beautiful. We got champagne at check in which was nice. Food is pricey but the quality is good. The biggest issue is the beach. It's small, crowded and it has been impossible to get a beach lounger with an umbrella on the first row despite arriving at 7:30 am. Entire front row is occupied despite not a single person sitting there. We were told that people arrive at 6 am to occupy these chairs and there are "reserved" for 2 hrs. We sat in the 2nd row while the front row sat empty but unavailable. People in front of us arrived at 11:30 am and 1 pm respectively so clearly way over 2 hours. It's clear that kickbacks are received to get Ist row and 2 hr rules are not enforced. The sun bed layout is not optimal and people end up laying on top of each other. I am disappointed in this resort. I would expect this from an all inclusive but not a high end resort. Even the Holiday Inn a few doors down has an online reservation svstem.

Worst Hotel Experience Ever!
This was not the luxury experience I expected from a St. Regis property. On our first night, the shower didn’t drain. I had to call three separate times and wait over an hour before someone came to fix it. The issue was fixed for one day, then it happened again. We had to wait 20 minutes between showers. On top of that, the toilet seat was not even attached to the toilet. The service by the pool and beach was horrible. I repeatedly had to flag down staff just to order anything. At the pool restaurant, I stood waiting to be seated while employees talked among themselves and ignored me. When checking out we were told we had to bring down our own luggage, which is not standard at St. Regis properties. Gavin who was the “manager” told us that luggage service is not offered at this location. Our room keys were already deactivated so a staff member had to come to our room with us just to unlock our door and did not offer to help us. On the way to retrieve our luggage, we saw hotel staff assisting other guests with their bags. Friends staying at the same property confirmed that staff brought their luggage down for them. To make matters worse, one morning I heard knocking and then staff entered my room without warning. I was told I had to leave immediately so an investigation could be conducted on our floor and was not allowed back into my room until later that afternoon. This stay was frustrating, inconsistent, and far from luxury. It was the complete opposite of “Live Exquisite,” and not worthy of the St. Regis name. I recommend you stay as far away from this hotel as possible. It is 100% not worth the money.
