Hotel needs updating
Hotel rooms smell like must and mold, and need massive updates. Even with a room switch the bathroom fixtures were loose and spun around. the Food was terrible and expensive. I would choose another hotel if visiting Nassau.

Very pretty but expensive
My daughter got food poisoning from eating at the resort and vomited on both beds in the middle of the night. I called the front desk and they could only provide me new bed sheets and pillow cases. However, the pillows were soaking wet from the vomit. Both queen beds were soaking wet. They could not provide us a new room or even a new blanket. I was hoping for a new room the next day but no I was not given a new room......

Impressive huge, busy, noisy... and this is the quiet season at Atlantis.
We stayed 7 nights Jan. 19-Jan. 26, 2026. We were two travelers, age 89 yrs with caregiver/spouse age 70yrs. Got around using electric carts that help a lot, and can be rented for $45 /day. essential. Busy busy busy pace with unrelaxing music going 24x7. The gracious staff are local Bahamians, and they generously share their knowledge when we showed even a little curiosity. I LOVED THESE PEOPLE. We do not love casinos, extreme prices for survival food (12 oz yogurt w fruit) = $10, loud music (they call it lively) in all places outside your room. Rooms were good, but very pricey. We had to switch a room to one across the hall because for 3 nights we had one with water drips from ceiling. They were most generous and took $400 off our total for an upgraded suite room. Since we are handicapped travellers, anything they did for us was appreciated. Massively huge resort and grounds with at least 5 hotels (?) and dozens of restaurants. Luxury is everywhere and made us uncomfortable. Atlantis resort is many things to many people including sea turtle & marine mammal exhibits with a renowned conservation program! We enjoyed seeing them from all angles, and swam with at Dolphin Cay, a highlight. Atlantis' location in Carribean/Atlantic is only one hour from Miami, is tropical and humid, and we had 30 mph winds thrown in for variety. The casino is a place we had to pass through daily and was a zoo, to our way of thinking. AVOID. Our favorite fine dining was AMBER. Passionfruit cocktails, dessert Bahamian Guava Duff (yummy), and spareribs appetizer. sitting outdoors overlooking the luxury yachts was quieter than inside with loud "lively" disco beat music which prevails. If your ears are sensitive, like ours, don't come here. or wear noise-cancelling devices. The resort is a first class first world place. Just across the bridge is the capital city of Nassau, Bahamas. many poor people, you can imagine. I was told the cruise ships come in and the hawkers and thieves come at you. I woud never come by cruise ship. The reason we came so far from Oregon to Bahamas was for a vascular surgeon's convention, the VIP is my husband's daughter, President of that organization. She treated us to the accomodations, and we flew from Portland, OR to Nassau via American Airlines. The trip is a whole nother story, and crazy , to put it mildly. I'll probably never go back . It is good to travel to other countries, to sample culture and ways of thinking. I was most intrigued by the generosity and kindness of these Bahamian employees of Atlantis, the warm breezes, feeling the warm Atlantic ocean and being tumbled around under the watchful eyes of numerous lifeguards. They make a lot of efforts to be a "green" business, waste less, and protect and the oceans and all the sea creatures which call this home. Ask me if you have desire to go there, and have questions.

Not what I expected for the price you pay!
I felt the staff could have been more welcoming and helpful. Ovan and one other woman were exceptionally kind, and I truly appreciated how they treated me. Unfortunately, everyone else made me feel like I was a bother when I asked simple questions, such as where things were located. We also did not have a single good experience in any of the dining rooms. Overall, this was not what I expected given the prices we paid for the stay, food, and experiences.

Better with locals in another island
Not worth it, space for the animals are extremely small. The underwater epxerience is just a show, there is no swimming with the dolphins, just all planned. The food is way to expensive and the portions. The breakfast buffet may be the only worth it thing, but that is not what I travel for. Extra fees for everything, 25% extra in any meal (VAT and tips), crazy for he quality...
