Gorgeous hotel that is a must see!
I stayed here for a short two night stay to experience both the St Regis & Edition for my travel business. It is an absolutely stunning property to feel like you are in a cenote. The decor & feel of the hotel is like no other, it’s something you must experience in person as pictures don’t do it justice. The rooms for my taste are a little minimalist, but comfortable and cool. I did really enjoy the bathroom toiletries and large shower. If I had to choose, I’d pick this hotel but the St Regis rooms there feel more luxurious. The hotel is immaculate & service 5*, there was always someone checking in on your experience. While I didn’t have a lot of time to truly dig in and experience everything, it’s definitely a place I’d recommend and return in the future. I think my only concern is the food being overly fancy, I’m definitely not a Michelin star diner. Breakfast was delicious, but lunch and dinners were a tad too much for me. I did throughly enjoy the Italian restaurant and Tapas restaurant at the St Regis which is accessible by their shuttle service. I’m sure with more time I’d have enjoyed more of the dining. The main lobby bar was a great spot to grab a pre or post dinner drink. While I didn’t get a chance to experience the Spa, I did tour it and it was gorgeous. You curate custom oils and rubs for your treatment. I would say anyone wanting that upscale, relaxing experience with a little bit of the authentic Mexican feel, I’d recommend this place. The property itself being built within the mangroves makes it feel massive but it’s not overly difficult to navigate. Only having under 200 rooms is perfect, with plenty of space to use with two pools and the beachfront. Mahalo Edition for hosting me!

Do not come for the beach - seaweed is bad
Seaweed at the beach is a huge problem. The water is also brown. Not what we were expecting. The hotel, food, and service were all great, but the beach is what we came for and we were so disappointed. I specifically called the hotel and asked before we booked the trip if the beach was swimmable and what the seaweed situation was. They assured me that the seaweed was cleaned daily and that the beach was nice and that we would be able to swim. I feel tricked.

Perfection
We truly enjoyed our stay at the edition. Perfection in every detail. The incredibly friendly and attentive staff, excellent and delicious food, incredibly beautiful interior and spacious rooms, everything is very clean. There is nothing to complain about. We can highly recommend this hotel.

Luxury meets beauty and hospitality
This hotel combines luxury with beauty and exceptional hospitality. Rooms are spacious, and they even provide helpful services for young babies. My husband and I visited with our 4-month old daughter. The hotel provided a crib, sterilizer, and diaper pail to ensure that our daughter’s needs were met. They even helped us place an order to get triple distilled water delivered for her, which aided in cleaning her bottles and caring for her as needed. This was our first international trip with our young baby, so it helped to alleviate our concerns. The breakfast was some of the best hotel food that I’ve had in a while. Not to mention, the staff was very friendly and hospitable, particularly our concierge — Edgardo. He went above and beyond by checking in daily to ensure all our needs were met. Edgardo even left a thoughtful surprise for us to celebrate our daughter turning 4 months while there in Mexico. I couldn’t recommend this Edition hotel enough!
