  Beyond perfection!

  This resort is by far the most gorgeous and luxurious experience we have ever had ( and we travel frequently). From the authentic kindness and attentiveness of the staff to the immaculate rooms and the stunning outdoor spaces, the place is beyond impressive. I cried when it was time to leave!

  The RIVIERA MAYA EDITION feels as you are entering a realm unlike any other. The experience doesn’t start at checkin it begins as you're entering the large lush jungle. As you continue forward, the surroundings transform into a dreamscape of vibrant, exotic flora. It's not just an arrival it feels like a spiritual transition into a hidden world, a curated journey of serenity, anticipation, and awe. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the ladies and gentlemen of EDITION with a level of professionalism and genuine grace that set the tone for our entire stay. Their poise, sincerity, and readiness made us feel like long awaited guests rather than first time visitors. The soul of this property lies in its people. Esther, Guest Experience Agent, immediately distinguished herself with an extraordinary sense of personalization and care. She went above and beyond in crafting a bespoke journey for both myself and my girlfriend. From the smallest gesture to the most thoughtful surprise, Esther created an emotional connection to our stay that words hardly do justice. She is a rare gem in the hospitality world she’s attentive, intuitive, and deeply invested in her guests' joy. Armando, at the Front Desk, carried out his role with the precision and elegance I hold in the highest regard. His professionalism reminded me of why the front desk is the heart of the guest experience, and he ensured every interaction was meaningful and smooth. Just a few steps away, the Lobby Bar became a sanctuary of its own thanks Luis, as the host of the Tequila & Mezcal Masterclass, delivered one of the most memorable moments of our trip. A true gentleman and an expert in his craft, Luis brought humor, history, and heart to the experience. We walked away not only having tasted incredible spirits, but with a deeper understanding of the cultural richness and artistry behind them. His passion and knowledge were contagious and the masterclass will remain one of the highlights of our time at the resort. Dining at KITCHEN was a revelation. The chance to meet Chef Armin was nothing short of an honor. His culinary artistry transcends expectations each course a story, every flavor purposeful and profound. Meeting the creator behind the dishes that delighted us daily added a deeply personal layer to every meal we enjoyed. SOL, the beach club, is a paradise unto itself. The sunsets here are humbling soft pastels melting into the horizon, often leaving us quiet, reflective, even bringing tears at their beauty. But it was the service that brought the experience to life. Alan, Eric, and Bartolo attendants at SOL made us feel like royalty. Their approach was seamless, unobtrusive yet always attentive. Whether bringing cool towels, arranging our beach seating, or just checking in with warm smiles, their dedication elevated our afternoons into experiences of pure leisure. A heartfelt appreciation also goes to Iván, the Supervisor at SOL. Meeting Iván was a pleasure. His attentiveness and pride in the service experience were apparent in every interaction. He ensured we were cared for, comfortable, and continually surprised by thoughtful touches that made every moment at the beach unforgettable. At KIIS, we encountered yet another pinnacle of EDITION’s culinary excellence. This restaurant offers not just food, but an exquisite five star dining journey. Oreal, our server, delivered each course with poise and charm, always allowing the dishes to speak for themselves while enhancing the story behind each bite. Leonardo, the Restaurant Manager, impressed us deeply with his encyclopedic knowledge of wine. His pairing selections transformed our meal into an emotional, sensory experience we’ll be talking about for years to come. His passion for the craft was evident, and his humility made it all the more remarkable. The Cocktail Master Class was another unexpected highlight. Leonardo the Bartender guided us with patience, professionalism, and a lighthearted spirit that made learning the art of mixology feel approachable and exciting.His blend of humor, skill, and patience brought us joy we never anticipated. In truth, I find myself at a loss for words. The experience at The RIVIERA MAYA EDITION was beyond a hotel stay it was a profound escape, a sanctuary for the soul. The architecture and setting are awe inspiring, yes, but it’s the people every single team member who breathe life into the property. They deliver service that is not only professional and seamless but genuinely heartfelt. Their pride, sincerity, and care embody what it truly means to serve at the highest level. Having visited five EDITION properties globally, I can say with confidence that while each EDITION has its own character, this one RIVIERA MAYA feels deeply sacred. There is something so pure and grounding about this destination that I would return without a second thought. To this day, I am at a loss for words. We were not just welcomed to a hotel we were welcomed to paradise. A sanctuary.

  Private Paradise and Exceptional Service

  The Riviera Maya Edition at Kanai is absolutely breathtaking. From the moment we arrived, we were amazed by how stunning the property is. The beach is so private and pristine, it truly felt like we were on our own secluded island. The entire atmosphere of the hotel is tranquil and peaceful, making it the perfect place to unwind and escape. What really made our stay unforgettable, though, was the incredible staff. At check-in, Jackie welcomed us with such kindness, and Ester was right alongside her. Ester went above and beyond every single day—we looked forward to seeing her because she always greeted us with a genuine smile, asked how we were doing, and wanted to know what we had planned. She gave us wonderful restaurant recommendations, made reservations for us, and even suggested some of the best dishes to try. Her warmth and care stood out so much that I remembered her name instantly—and even hugged her on our last night because she truly made us feel at home. Everyone needs an Ester! At the pool, Pedro took care of us with the same attentiveness. Every dish he recommended was absolutely delicious, and he made sure we had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time. The hotel itself is amazing, but the people here made it an extraordinary experience. Jackie, Ester, and Pedro in particular left a lasting impression on us. Marriott, it’s clear why you hire the talent that you do—this team blew us away!

  Excellent food and service!!

  Excellent food and even better service. The waitstaff was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. They offered complimentary drinks to help us celebrate a special occasion. Can’t recommend enough!

  Most beautiful hotel in Riviera Maya

  The hotel was incredibly gorgeous, possible the prettiest hotel I’ve ever seen. All the staff treated us with exceptional care. The pool and beach were just so photogenic. A true architectural masterpiece for sure! The hotel has a few places to eat, in my opinion the dinner at the Kitchen was the best. The grilled tender loins and beef cheeks were out of this world. Paco our waiter gave me detailed introductions and recommendations. So thanks to him!
